at age 5 months, the foetus has a fully developed brain, and pills can sometimes not cause abortion but instead cause heavy brain damage.
And abortion is impossible at 5 months, because the mother's body cannot expel such a big thing on its own (unlike when it is done at 3 months).

There is the possibility of an abortion through a medically induced delivery - but as the doctor says given ganga's problems - any delivery will only enhance the existing problem she has of a weak uterus. which may cause her to die just like originally stated for natural child birth.

From an ethical point of view - the 3 month (or 13 week) rule is there because the fetus doesn't have a well developed nervous system and cannot feel pain if it is aborted.
At 5 months, the baby has a fully developed sensitivity to pain and it sometimes cries etc. also during abortion - so it is sort of seen as full blown painful murder.

Therefore, unless there is some danger to the mother, which makes it okay to abort the child for the sake of mother's survival, most doctors will not do it just for the sake of the abortion.

I dont think the issue is the type of delivery. Delivery is a secondary problem in this case.
First the baby has to live until delivery. What Jagya had said was that Ganga has a weak uterus and therefore, the uterus may not be able to bear the brunt of the baby. Damage to the uterus means that the muscles of the uterus are weak and cannot sustain the child in proper position and hold it where it is supposed to be. The child will slip through tears in the muscles of the uterus and start falling into all sorts of other organs - like into the bowel where it may become exposed to mother's potty etc. or inject itself into areas it should not be. The uterus instead of being a tight and secure carry case for the fetus then just becomes like a loose shapeless sack - sort of like a baloon that has been pricked and the fetus can fall out of the uterus. This will cause the mother to become blue and choke.

Ganga being a nurse should have known all this and should have restricted herself to bed rest to avoid strain to the uterus muscles. But great mahaan woman (never thought I would see more mahaanta than anandi) but I was wrong 😆😆 ... she is climbing steps at the temple.

If the child grows to term while remaining in the uterus, then c-section will be helpful and certainly more advisable than normal delivery... but as I said, that is an issue to be dealt with if the child can grow properly to term in her uterus.

Weak uterus means danger to child more than danger to the expecting mother. If uterus walls give way - the child may slip to other organs/outside mothers body depending on the position she is in at that time- like we read cases of babies born in toilets (one case I read where the mother was on train and the new born fell on tracks from moving train- it is gross- but true story). So, I never expected this pregnancy from a nurse- who should know the danger to her yet to born child and also concern for her already existing child, who may lose his mother in her foolish mahaanta act.
