Karan contract is for 1 yr as we all know but actors are not allowed to reveal it
as channel and ph both know about it they have to be prepared for consequences
as karan said that he remain in qh for gul and show and even told them that he will give extra 3,4 months but zee content head defame him by calling him unprofessional
so ksg is not at all at fault i guess

the contract was for one year but I you read properly the article says ZEETV DIDNT INTENDED TO RENEW THE CONTRACT THEY CONTACTED GUL AND SHE DIDNT HAD ANY OPPOSITION so if they didn't approach him why should he beg them he has much more to do I am sure this makes your doubt clear

even actors like ram kapoor make one year contract its the channel heads they convince them by giving them good story line which assueres good scrren space and may be increase or whatever bt as we see karan wasn't awarded anything and then they defame him so why wold he bear

All I want to say is , that as a Karan fan , I know he was really unhappy with the way his character was shaping up , with the story (Since ZoYaan) , and was in two minds about leaving the show but then stayed on . If he had decided to work only for a year , then maybe he expected them to wind up the story within a year itself ? Since they never dragged Qh until the Tanveer shit began . Oh also maybe he had told them while signing his contract that the minimum span of time will be for a year , and after that he would like to keep his options open , and hence not renew the contract any further

Well I am still confused so instead of talking he started growing his hair and how come it did not come as a shocker to rest of the crew. Also if the show was jus now shaping up, why leave, if zee milked him, he too got awards, money recognition , it establish embed him as a actor. .

Could be anything!The truth here is that , which is pretty clear now .. he was willing to stay on till they wind up or whatever , but the Channel's ego popped up in between .
