PLS CUT THE CRAP!!!

Well many of you may not know me but share the same plight as me.Being a loyal fan aint really an easy job.In this world of internet and advanced technology television and movies are something that has proved to be a binding factor for people across the world and India Forums has been a place that not just witnessed but cultivated this culture in many ways. Its the love of the people for their shows, the stars and their choices that brings them here to share their views with others of their sort,But at the end of the day what do we fans get? We are hurt, cheated and left to fight amongst ourselves?

Well that has been the trend on tv and i wish someone from the tellybuzz really takes our voice to the highest authorities on tv.Its high time the directors, the producers, the creative teams and the actors start taking the responsibility of the viewer's emotions.

I wan an ardent fan of Pratyusha Banerjee and Siddharth Shukla in BV when suddenly on 28 feb 2012 the actress was replaced from the show. The replacement was done in such a disgusting manner that it left a bad taste in everyones mouth.First of all none of the fans were given any prior information about the impending replacement. We were made to beleive that it was the couple's confession episode and rather it ended up being her last epi.Post the replacement many false articles were released abt how the actor reported drunk on sets and didnt put up with the work. The very fact created a big rift on the forum and sadly spoiled many good friendships that were made at that place. No one knew what to believe, which side to support and what decision to take.

No stone was left unturned to banish the voice of Pratyusha's fans. All discussions to her were limited to one post and the channel went on releasing articles abt how the new actress has been accepted and blah blah. And today I see the same happening to Qubool hai and KSG fans which honestly has irritated me to the core.

Do we as fans deserve this crap?Crap of such unplanned, ruthless and bitter replacements.Crap of being left to fight amongst our friends just bcoz we have different voices? It feels pathetic to be in that place. To see your second abode drifting apart. To see your favourite actors being humiliated and tagged upon as nonprofessionals and drunkards. Why?Just bcoz we love their damn shows? Is this we deserve? To be cheated, to be hidden facts from and to be thrown with replacements in our faces. To be confused with contradictory news abt both sides. And here everyone is to blame.

The producers
- Who dont know how to retain their actors.Who just want money and care abt fans only to the extent of using them and their emotions.Else they give a damn abt it.

The creative teams and channel -
Who go on a bashing spree as soon as an actor quits.Pleaseee guys cut the "he/she reported drunk on sets" crap/...its outdated now 🤢

The actors -
The actors IMO here hv the elast burden to share bcoz they are puppets in the hands of their employers. They cant inform the fans abt a change until they are actually allowed. But even the actors share the responsibility to respect the feelings of their fans and dont take their love for granted.

Its high time all these ppl STOP TAKING US FOR GRANTED.Replacements might be unavoidable but doing them in a respectable planned manner is not.Keeping the audiences well informed abt the change in advance is not that difficult. And if that cant be done all these ppl shud really forget our love and soon IF will be an abondoned place. Bcoz I know in future I wont get myself attached to any show or couple so deeply like I was to balika vadhu bcoz the show and makers left a sour taste in my mouth. The emotions were so badly crushed that now NO SHOW will ever enjoy that much love from me again.I wont ever be so addicted to some other couple.Bcoz i dont want to get hurt again.I dont want to spoil my mood just bcoz of a virtual world where i spent months making friends and acquaintances. Yes makers might succeed by hurting my emotions and ridiculing my favourite stars but by doing this they dont know they are blocking the ways of their own future success bcoz "janta" can be fooled and hurt once or twice but now always.

Sincerly, the voice of all those fans who didnt deserve this crappy treatment by the television industry! 🤢

Timely posts, Mallika, replacements are happening like changing bedsheets, so indifferent to the audience preference and emotions.

It's all a money-game, I guess it's not just about rendering a great performance, you need to be buttering the right authorities time and again, like any office scenario.

I fully support you. Yes I used to adore the show bv before replacement happened but now I could hardly feel the immotion irrespective of how good the actors perform forget story line and this forum people disengage with friends and treat the fans of other actors as shit. No freedom of expression.

Awesome post, Malika!
I guess the Indian TV industry has not woken up to the fact that the audience has preferences too.

This is probably because we (the audience) refrain ourselves to voicing our discontent only among ourselves and we end up being labelled as fan groups.

If we look at the bigger picture, it is not a question of being a particular stars fan, but one of being a paying audience.

We pay for a particular service and, therefore, have the right to ask for quality products. That is our right.

The least the production houses can do is ASK, via the various social media platforms available today, whether the audiences are OK with the prospective change and what they could do to make things better.

However, this particular industry has still not understood this key service industry norm: The customer is king.

The day they do, Indian TV will be a better place.

Well said Malika 👍🏼 TV industry has never given a shit about the viewers, They are taking viewers for granted, Indian TV Industry thinks give crap to viewers and they won't know it. Now days most of the viewers want the value for their money.
I am asking them, if they will tell some other actor to play the role of Gabbar Singh, will he be able to do the justice to that character?
Will Hritik Roshan or Ajay Devgan will give same weight to Dabang as Salman gave?

This doesn't mean that replacement don't happen, it does happen but accordingly, not that pick any one to play the character. A actor who can justify the character, execute it to the maximum will be accepted always.
And just because of what they did to BV, I have stopped watching any serials.

Dear Malika, I agree with every word you wrote here...👍🏼 👏 👏

BV was the frist Indian TV-show I saw...before that, I watched only the Bollywood movies...I saw BV for the first time three years ago during my vacation in Serbia and my enthusiasm for this show grew with each day more and more, especially by excellent acting performance of Pratyusha and Siddharth...and then suddenly, totally unexpectedly came this disaster with the replacement of Pratyusha by Toral and that was an absolute shock!!! BV ended for me on February 27. I was really shocked, because in Germany and Europe, the replacements of actress/actors is generally not practiced, especially not of the successful actress/actor...In the meantime, I've clearly understood that the opinion of the audience the Indian television industry absolutely doesn't matter and that's really unfortunate...after all, the acting is a art and not the puppets theater...

Great post Malika...
BV is an example what never to do... we all said plenty about that...

but, I'd like to add that long ago I have said that international markets won't swallow it... there was too much uproar and hate on this replacement... viewership is so low that they wouldn't even give numbers of those who watched it for months... even though they do that for other shows...

viewers vowed never to watch another Indian serial... and over there viewers actually have some saying...

so, here's the update... this major TV station with rights to broadcast BV in EU and US has announced launch of new show - SILA which is a Turkish serial...

hey cvs... I think you have been replaced! 😛

Edited to add: Toral epis didn't air over there till May... so that's 6 months turn around on behalf of TV station... that's a speed of light for this industry...
