Dhoom 3 Runs Riot On Monday

Dhoom 3 is running riot at the box office on Monday. The collections on Monday are simply unparalleled with huge unseen before numbers. The early collections coming in suggest an 18 crore nett figure and it could even go a little higher.

The film on Monday is competing with the highest non holiday first day totals ever on its fourth day. Whatever the final number comes in at it will be phenomenal.

The previous highest non holiday Monday's ever were set this year with Chennai Express and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani both at 12.50 crore nett approx and this figure will be smashed by a distance. There have been huge huge Monday totals like Krrish 3 and Ek Tha Tiger but these films had benefit of huge national holidays.

It's not because of Aamir or Katrina. Despite the bad music and not-so-great trailers and low-key promotions, it is purely the solid power of the Dhoom franchise!! The most powerful franchise ever.

Sadly the craze will decrease as not many liked it.

2 films old is bigger than Aamir starpower(who has been there for 25 years)

Sadly people are liking it, that why it's not a big drop on Monday. If it was rejected then it would have crashed, but it didn't.

Was that directed at my comment?

Even if Dhoom 3 had starred Saif Ali Khan, it still would have got a HUGE opening.

Starpower is overrated. Audience doesn't come watch a film just because Aamir Khan is in it. If that was the case, Dhobi Ghat wouldn't have collected only 14 crore in its lifetime.

Auidence will watch a film only if they find it interesting. D and D2 have been huge blockbusters and everybody who watched them would've been curious about the next part. So here the franchise is bigger than the stars in it.

It's just my opinion, you can still think it's a joke, but I just had to clarify why I thought so.

No matter if it was bad or good, people who watched the prequels would be curious about checking it out. So there won't be a big drop. Just like Krrish 3. It wasn't great, but the goodwill earned by its prequels was so good it people still wanted to check the movie and make an opinion themselves rather than depending on others' opinion.
