7 Juicy Pieces of Gossip From Inside Deepika Padukone's Party

On Saturday night, Deepika Padukone hosted a success bash to celebrate the fantastic run she had at the movies in 2013. Some of the biggest names in Bollywood were under one roof, so you can imagine that there were several talking points that came out from that one night. You've already seen what the ladies wore for the glamorous night, now let Industrywalla recount 7 pieces of gossip from that bash!

1. Both Aamir Khan and Shah Rukh Khan were overheard congratulating each other and speaking about how the others' films (Dhoom: 3 and Chennai Express) have broken some serious records at the box office. A certain actress was later overheard bitching about how fake the two were with each other!

2. Ameesha Patel was the butt of all jokes, because she kept insisting to anyone who'd listen that she was the first actress to start the trend of throwing parties with the launch of her production house!

3. If you notice, Shahid Kapoor wasn't wearing either black or gold. Why? It's actually quite funny - he didn't stick to the theme because he skimmed through Deepika's message instead of reading it completely, and therefore missed out on the part where she mentioned the dress code.

4. Ranveer Singh kept pulling Deepika to his side and holding her almost like she was a prize trophy (to be fair, in that golden ensemble, she practically looked like one - and I mean that in a good way). After a while, noticing her mild discomfort, Ranveer's BFF Arjun Kapoor intervened and came to Dippy's rescue.

5. Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan were seen holding hands with each other for most of the party, perhaps wanting to send out a signal to those who wondered if they would have a similar fate to Hrithik Roshan and Sussanne Roshan.

6. Although Ranbir Kapoor was a no-show (I already told you yesterday it's because he figured it would be too awkward), he sent Deepika a polite SMS congratulating her on her brilliant year at the box office.

7. They are known for two very different types of cinema, but funnily enough, Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Rohit Shetty were spotted in deep conversation... and they were all compliments each other's films! In fact, Rohit was heard telling SLB that he has never seen anyone present a heroine so beautifully on screen.
