You have said it so nicely. I was an ardent Salman Khan fan since MPK days. now after seeing this side of his personality I can't stand him. I have stopped watching BB just come to forum for news. I am happy that I am not his fan any more.

^ Though Salman Khan scares these people with random Bollywood names, I don't think there's any real harm. Ajaz will at the most get small gunda roles. He doesn't have the stature to be main villain. Bigg Boss show gives these people exposure and weekly income. It's good money.

Even Tanisha Mukherjee was offered some dance item on New Year's Eve. Who in their right mind will otherwise invite her for a program? Payal, Shweta Tiwari and others made money because of stage shows. That way no one lost anything...well! it's not fun to be insulted on national television.

I'm sure everyone has heard of the saying, "It's not what you know, but who you know, that matters." Someone, during our careers, have given us this advice one time or another. And the sad fact is, it's true. Connections, connections, connections. They take you far in your career, whatever it is. As much as like to believe success correlates with hard work, it's simply not true. And the entertainment industry is no different, Hollywood or Bollywood. Actually, it is more evident in the entertainment industry because it's a small world. Word gets around quick and to the most powerful and impactful people. You mess up once, there is no going back.

While connections might not be needed to survive in the US, they are sort of important in India. Ambition/talent and what not is all fine on a piece of paper, but it's very hard to make a name for yourself with those alone. Why only blame Salman, that's simply how everything works in India. It doesn't make it right or kosher, but you gotta be smart and practical.

Personally, I see nothing wrong with that. You don't necessarily have to the kiss the feet of rich & powerful but it's always a plus to be in their good books. Its a cut-throat world unfortunately, especially so in India.

Exactly! I think everyone is being harsh on Salman. Hard work is all fine and dandy but just that won't get you far.
