Because Nitya kidnapped Ved when he was born and had Anjali think that her baby was killed right after birth. Nitya and Pammi then pretended that Ved is Pammi and Kavya's baby. Kavya thinks that Ved is Pammi's baby only. He finds out later on that it os Anjali's.😳

yh nitya kidnaped ved and made pami prg and then ved was pamis baby insted but really anjali's but kava didnt know that pami wasnt even preg and anjla's baby was his until the night of the engagemnt
