I dont think pia is a nickname. I remember when they showed puurvi seeing the birth certificate at hosp... It said Pia Kirloskar as her legal name.

The very fact that they have not shown pia yet, and the very fact that Aahana has been just name that was introduced but repeated ad infinitum tells me the drama that is yet to come which Ahana == Pia. Otherwise, there is no point to all this drama. So Pia must have gone to UK for something and met Naren there in my opinion. Then only Ekta will have her evil twist and drama.
