Ipoona, those puppy eyes.. Surely...we don't talk here much, but on blast we had at length and breadth discussions about that Diwali hair cut, Wiwy even made a riddle on the barber responsible for it!!:).. that has a thing or two to do with those puppy looks!

On a serious note, I always applause the makers for showing his vulnerability , regret almost immediately every time he hurts her, portrayal of his continuous inner struggle...which departed ASR from a aam angry young man and made him this super dilwala who could win hearts inspite of who he is.. To err is human, to be a slave to all human emotions of anger, ego is too.. But to reconcile almost always is being a smart and good student of this class room of life!

Horizon, his expression at the end ... You are absolutely right ... That is the exact reason we can forgive his ek din Kay extra paisay dialogue ... This is Barun at his best ... Think of this expression and the one immediately after the missed kiss ... Two different men ... And yes Khushi nailed it too or rather Sanaya nailed it ... This scene always breaks my heart the most ... Imagine a girl who until yesterday had secretly hoped ... Had suspected that this man was falling for her ... And then he tells her ... Didn't mean a thing ... And now when he us unaware of her presence, she hears some more of his lie opinion of her ... How heartbreaking that must be ... Lovely episode ...

By the way the photo in my profile is the one after the rain hug ...

Agree Ipoona, a girl who is still in that heart break comes to his home very reluctantly only to hear those caustic remarks yet again!! How did her small being bore with all this! She actually DID need that trip to the temple immediately .. Her only solace!!

Thanks for that pic info. Yes that scene was on my mind as some one wrote a passionate piece about it on Indi's recent thread.

Ipoona, honestly that using money talk never sat well with mw, not just here. But he would use it nevertheless, even when he blows that mitti from her eyes he would say if he had to pay extra for her to sit, said it now, and even he says she wont be able to extract any more money in that kitchen tiff when she comes back after the bandagement, Basically, he kept using that as a shield up until her engagement shock. .. farq padtha hai. Specifically his reference to Khushi was immensely consistent in front of the family, he said similar things when Anjali brought Khushi home the first time, then when he asks her to leave after La leaves and now..

. esp when he wants to think "ASR ko kisi ladki se koi farq nahi padtha" and wants to shift the blame onto her...There was nothing else he can think of to ward her off except their strata differences...so yes it was crass as a whole, but I don't think there was anything out of character specifically here in this scene. It fit the bill for me.
