Star Plus telecasts two shows SC and Yeh hai mohabattein.

While SC depicts small town India, Yeh hai mohabattein ( first Ep. 3rd Dec, 2013) depicts more of Urban India.

In YHM, Raman is a divorced Dad and CEO of a large company, while Ishita is a dentist. The story is about a romance between the mean guy Raman (with a cute daughter) and the sweet gal Ishita. They differ in their principles and come from diverse cultural backgrounds ( Punjabi and Tamil families, and are neighbours ). The viewers get to see a family life in two different cultures. YHM also shows the efforts Moms put in to find a suitable match for their grown ups. So far the story is fast-paced.

YHM is a Ekta kapoor show. I have never seen her shows before and heard that they are saas- bahu types. However, YHM seems different.

I was asked reg. new shows and this message is for those members. I will not be able to reply, since I am traveling. Also, this topic may be closed.

As mentioned above, I am not concerned about the post being closed. My intention was to give an option to the Star Plus viewers taking a break from SC, and have got used to watching a desi show.

No one wants a break from sc ! Sc is awesome , plus if you do not know , or have forgotten dubai is also involved. It is a metropolitan city ! Even gujrat is no small place it has many open minded and modern people. Please promote yeh hain mohabbatein some where else , i am not disagreeing that it is a bad serial , i mean it is good , have not seen it , but as heard. Anyways, except sc there are other starplus shows as well. Which do show people living in mansions but having a low mind, it is better to live in a grand haveli and be clear and straight forward. Secondly the leads including the females are strong and well educated hailing from cultured families. So yes you finally guessed right , this topic will be closed.

If u wanna suggest a new show then just pm to those members who have asked u, rather than posting it on the forum..

Coming to YHM ..initially every thing will be good for u but there after it becomes boring for u..(like sc for u).

And we scians watch sc with our heart, we are connected to it and we respect the hard work of the leads.

So kindly use pm those people who are interested in it..
Don't hurt the feelings of others.

IPK pagalpan will never never be over. Really thankful to this forum for having introduced me to it. I have got many people addicted to IPK and continue to have tons of discussions on that, elsewhere.

I got to know about IPK in this forum, and am thankful to the members who suggested it. At times people living abroad find it difficult to know about shows in India. My intention was to help them and not hurt feelings.

Glad that you are enjoying SC. However, you must have noticed that many people have also quit watching. For me SC was the first Indian show and I found it really hard to give up. Finally, I did cos I could no longer relate to the story.

Yes, it is not a must for me to keep watching a show if it fails to interest me or the story upsets me. There are better things to do in life.
