A VruShan OS
"Vrushi! Stop running around!"
"Nahin!! Voh mera chocolate leke bhaag gayi!!"😡
"Uffo doosra dila dungi!"
But ofcourse, she wasn't in a mood to listen. Her cousin had caught sight of her favorite chocolate, and had ran away with it. And if there was something Vrushika Mehta could LITERALLY kill anyone for, it was CHOCOLATE!
"Shri!!! Ruk!!"
Shriya knew that if she stopped, she would be caught and beaten to death by Vrushi, and what's worse, she wouldn't get even a piece to eat! Toh kya hua if she was her best cousin, and her best friend, and her family had come from Gujarat to Kolkata just to meet her and her family! Chocolates are meant to be had alone, duh!
"Shriya ruk yaar.. I'll kill you! Ouch!"
Chocolate ke peechhe bhaagte bhaagte Vrushi hadn't noticed a huge boulder on her way, as she tripped over it and fell on the hard ground. The fall had been quite cruel, and she was bleeding severely now, and in huge pain, and Shriya was nowhere in sight. The little girl started crying, helpless, as blood continued to run out from her knees.
"Shriya!! Mummy!!",she cried, even though she realised there was no one around.
"Uhm, kya hua?"
She stopped crying for a moment, and looked up to see a cute little boy, probably 2 or 3 years older to her, filled with concern. But her knees started torturing her again, as she began sobbing, covering her face with her little hands.
"Ro mat... Kya hua?..."
Her cried turned hysterical, and he suddenly saw her bleeding knees.
"Baap re, itna khoon! Tum ro mat theek hai?"
He turned around to look for help, and started running back to get someone.
She was terrified at the prospect of being left alone again, and suddenly hugged her little saviour.
"Mat jaao!ðŸ˜", she managed to say, through her relentless tears.
"Kitna roti ho... Dekho, tum ro mat.. Theek hai.. Main..main kisi ko bulaake laata hoon...", even as he wiped away the tears from that cute face of hers. Seeing anyone in pain was something he could never handle.
"Mmm...ok...😠Jaldi waapis aana..."
He nodded once, and ran away.
She was alone again, and in severe agony, but she wasn't crying anymore. Somehow, she believed in this new friend of hers, whom she had met a few minutes ago. She knew he woud never leave her alone. The pain was cutting through her poor little being, but she was determined not to cry, even as minutes went by.
"Yahaan thi, Mumma.. Aap dekh lo... Arre yeh rahi... Oye.. Mumma aa gayi..."
She started crying as she saw the lady and hugged her tight.
"Koi baat nahin beta.. Chhotti si chot hai.. Main davaa lagaa doon?.."
She stared at the bottle for a brief moment, and shook her head vehemently. She had had Dettol put on her almost everyday, because of her 24/7 dancing, yet her hatred for the medicine still stayed.
"Arre dard nahin hota... Main bol raha hoon na..."
She looked at him, trying to find a trace of deceit. He smiled, reassuringly, and somehow, she felt oddly convinced by that smile.
"Ok aunty.."
In a few minutes, her wounds were washed, wiped clean, and had had medicine put on. The sting of the antiseptic didn't make her scream this time, as her new friend was holding her hand, encouraging her.
"Thank you aunty..", she said as she smiled meekly.
"Tu yahan hai?? Kab se dhoond rahi hoon tujhe gadhi!!!!!"
"Shriya!!"
Her cousin had found her missing and had ran back to find her. She was crushed to see her wounds, but Vrushika reassured her with confidencethat she was well and healed.
"Aap donon chale jaaoge?"
"Yeah aunty.. Thankyou so much!", she said as she hugged her again.
The lady smiled at her, and asked her to take care.
"Oye tera chocolate mere haath se pata nahin kahaan gir gaya!"
"Oh...😒." She was clearly more disappointed with her missing chocolate, than with her injury.
"Uhmm...tum yeh le lo...", he said, as he meekly offered her a Five Star chocolate... "Yeh mere favorite hain..."
She shyly accepted the chocolate, smiled warmly at her friend, and mouthed a 'thanks'.
The girls walked back to their house, and the boy ran back to his society, where he was the lead dancer in the Annual function.

"Ouch!"
"Vrushika!!"😲
He ran to her, even as her hysterical crying prevented him from seeing the wounds.
"Kitna girti ho tum!! Thakti nahin ho kya!! Hato ab!", he said, almost scolding her!😡
Her falling down had become a regualar affair in the sets, but never once did he get tired of tending for her.
She cried onto his shoulders, as he gently reassured her.
"Tum ro mat, ok... Main abhi davaa laata hoon. Tum bhi na idiot!"
He went to the store room and returned with Dettol. She stared at the golden liquid with hateful eyes. But this time Vrushika wasn't scared of the medicine. Someone had, long ago, taught her not to be. But her sulking hadn't been subtle, and Shantanu hadn't missed that.
"Yeh lo..",he said, as he passed her a Five Star chocolate that he always carried around in his pocket, and chuckled at her innocence.
Shan went back to tending to her wounds, but he was smiling wide, as if he had just got reminded of an old friend. So did Vrushi, as she turned away from him to greedily devour the chocolate. Both chuckled at the little secret, that they believed, they had kept from each other.. Never did they know...and probably, never will...😳😉
