Tara watches Radha pack food and take a key hanging on the kitchen wall and move out of the house. Unknown to Radha, she keeps following her and notices her open the door of the outhouse with that key.
Suddenly a hand comes over her shoulder. "
Tum yahan kya kar rahi ho?" It was Ranvijay wearing his usual stern look "
Ansh ko padhana ho gaya ho to ab yaha se chalti bano. Aur is haveli mein zyaada taak-jhaank karne ka nateeja accha nahi hota samjhi."
Tara bows her head and Ranvijay leaves after which her expressions change to those of anger. She moves out thinking to herself.
That night at Neel's house, Tara is brooding as Neel cooks.
"Accha Neel, tum mujhe Radha ke bare mein bata rahe the na? Kab chal sakte hain use milne"
Neel: "Are haan main to bhul hi gaya kal hi challenge, Radha ko bachpan se mere haath ka badam ka halwa bahut pasand hai, uske liye kal banakar le jaunga. Bahut khush hogi woh"
Tara is clearly disinterested but says "Sach?? Chalo main bhi madad karungi tumhari"
Next morning Tara and Neel come to Radha's house. Radha opens the door and Neel exclaims "Chichori Radha kab se sati savitri ban gayi, ye sar pe pallu kya hai?"
He shrugs off the duppatta Radha's head and she moves his hand away to put it back in place smiling forcibly and says "Teri Radha badi ho gayi hai Neel, saari duniya ko pata chal gaya hai, bas tujhe chod ke"
Neel signals a punch towards Radha, seeming like they used to greet each other by striking their fists but Radha puts his hand down and says "Bachpana band karo Neel, aao andar aao"
She sees Tara following him and is not very pleased with this but greets her as well. Tara enters and the first thing striking her eyes is the key hanging in the room. Neel sits down with Radha to talk "Ye kya haal bana rakha hai. Kuch leti kyun nahi. Ye dekho tumhare liye badam ka halwa"
Radha takes it and Tara intervenes "Radha, mujhe bhi khana hai halwa, Neel ne ghar par khaane hi nahi diya, thoda mujhe bhi do na"
Radha: "Are kyun nahi, main abhi katoriyaan laati hun"
And she goes into the kitchen.
Tara asks Neel to go and help Radha and left alone in the living room, she quickly imprints the key on a soap she brought with her.
In the kitchen Radha is working and Neel stops her, "Kya baat hai Radha, tum wo Radha to ho nahi jise main chodh gaya tha? Bhopal jaakar kya ho gaya tumhe?"
He looks into her eyes with affection and inquisitiveness and holds her hands. Radha is about to speak out her mind but stops herself and frees up her hand "Kuch bhi to nahi? Tumhe kuch zyaada hi dikhta hai, Chalo bahar Tara intezaar kar rahi hai" and she goes out leaving Neel confused.
That day, Tara deliberately stays back again to teach Ansh till dusk. As she teaches Ansh, she watches on from the room window, waiting for Radha to go to the outhouse with dinner for Mrityunjay. Ansh comments, "Ye to ajeeb hi haal hai Tara, student teacher se keh raha hai ki dhyaan se padhaao?" and giggles.
Tara turns to him and smiles back, "Kuch nahi, tum ye sums khatam karo"
Its dusk now and Tara wraps up Ansh's studies. She avoids the guard's glances and goes to the outhouse with the duplicate key she had got made that morning. She finds Radha inside.
Radha rips off the pages of Mrityunjay's note book "Ye kya karte rehte ho saara din Jay? Kyun nahi bhool sakte is baat ko"
Mrityunjay: "Tum kya samajhti ho Radha, main koshis nahi karta? Lekin ye baat mujhe raat mein sone nahi deti. Chahe jo bhi wajah rahi ho, khoon hua hai aur khooni ko sazaa milni hi chahiye."
Tara is awestruck on hearing this and Radha speaks on "Haan haan, janti hoon, lekin jab kisi ko nahi pata is bare mein to tum kyun saari duniya ko batana chahte ho? Jaante ho agar Aditya ke khoon ka sach sab jaan gaye to Shekhawat pariwaar ki izzat mitti mein mil jayegi, aur main, phir mera kya hoga? Tum chahte ho meri zindagi barbaad ho jaaye?"
Mrityunjay: "Nahi Radha, main aisa soch bhi nahi sakta par kya karun nahi bhool paata is baat ko."
Radha calms down and tries to convince him "Dekho Jay, koshish to karo, sab thik ho jaayega, phir Kalavati ji ko tumhe duniya ke saamne pagal bhi nahi kehna padega, tum bahar aa sakoge, aur dheere dheere sab kuch ek bure sapne ki tarah bhula doge"
She speaks while placing both her hands on his shoulders. Mrityunjay starts shakes his head and then suddenly shakes her hand off "Bas!!! Koshish karunga main, jao yahan se!"
Radha leaves after locking the door and a tearful Tara turns away from the window and sits down sobbing "To mera shak sahi tha, isi pariwaar ka koi hai jisne Aditya ka khoon kiya hai, ab wo khooni zyaada din mujhse nahi bachega"
She wipes off her tears and stands up says, "Mrityunjay hi wo insaan hai jo meri madad kar sakta hai us khooni ko sazaa dilwane mein. Mujhe kisi bhi halat mein ise samjhana padega ki wo sach sabke saamne laaye."
She decides and stares at the duplicate key of the outhouse. She looks at Mrityunjay through the window who sitting down on the floor leaning against the wall with a blank stare towards the ceiling.
Then she moves to open the door of the outhouse to meet him.
