@the_alchemist Recent tracks of saanchi jagya rista and shiv birth secret are so filmy and never expected such tracks by Bv show. Clearly shows the creative head of colors channel is influencing the makers of Bv to show such stupid tracks. They just dont want to invest brain in writing sensible tracks showing DC and social activist/ sarpanch stories. Moving ansh back to udaipur clearly indicated they wanted only family drama for anandi.

That's exactly the point the preacher was making. If the characters dont enhance you but are energy vampires instead, then stop watching.

I wouldn't like to have anyone from any serial in my home. If I really had to choose, I might have picked a wise, sane man with lot of thehraav like Bhairon or perhaps Shiv or Shyam.Still these characters have their own flaws too like lack of assertiveness (in Bhairon) and lack of balance between parents and in-laws/wife (Shiv/Shyam). So I don't know any ideal or anyone who's better than the lot in real life.

Women in BV are overbearing and I wouldn't like to have anyone like those in my life.

Interesting question! I would once have welcomed Anandi into my home with open arms, but that character has so totally lost its essence that I now cannot imagine doing so. Same goes for Shiv too, though his character has been butchered to a much lesser extent than Anandi's.

I think the only BV character of the present lot that I'd happily allow into my home would be Mannu. And maybe Ashima, just so that I could smack some sense into her head with regards to her Shiv and Mahi-related issues.

@TM - I don't know in what context the preacher asked this question.
Whether we like it or not these kind of people Singhs or Shekhars we do encounter in our lives.Only the situations are not so dramatic as they have been shown in the show.

As for wanting someone like them in your home - I would definitely like to have someone like Anandi or Shiv in my home.

I think we watch these shows for entertainment. Whether a character is positively and sanely portrayed or brings out negative / illogical and weired behaviour, it still provides entertainment to us in some form.In fact it also gives us an opportunity to even come to forums like IF and make new friends, know real people's thoughts etc.

So as long as there is entertainment, and less stress - happy to watch these shows. The moment it becomes energy draining, one should stop watching it.
As far as inviting these people are concerned, we are actually surrounded by such characters, events or situations in our real lives, but as Aparnauma said, real life people and incidents are not as dramatic as shown in the show. People in real life are not that emotional, impulsive or illogical.

I wud like Dadisa and Bhairon !
I wud like chhoti Ma.

I would adore little Mannu.

And we do encounter these people in our daily lives - scheming Sanchi's gentle Ganga's and Darling Daddu and macho Mahi and last but not the least - mercurial Ira - who can be so loving and sweet basically but gets easily swayed by the least little mischief her daughter does.
-----------
There are like-able traits in each character as are flaws too - but then - we are not interested in watching sermons by saints when we switch to BV now do we ?
