Yea because WHERE ELSE can a blue-eyed blond girl get portrayed? Certainly not Hollywood or numerous European, Canadian, Spanish, South American film industries *sarcasm* Indian film/television is the last and only resort where a brown Indian girl can relate and it's been taken over by what the world considers "ideal" aka white-skinned fair firangi. In Japan, they do not let foreigners portray main characters because they want to preserve they don't want their citizen to strive to look like something they're not. The average Indian girl is hardly ever portrayed in Bollywood or TV. Rather it's these white-skinned girls who act all sati-savitri to prove how "Indian they are". White skin + sati savitri = Indian men's dream girl.
Say whatever you like...racism or whatever...truth is NOBODY in Hollywood is willing to cast Freida Pinto anymore. A few months of hype and a few movies and then: SEE YA. Where will an Egyptian girl that speaks Arabic and has been listening her entire life to Arab music and studying and practicing it go when these blonde bimbos are crowding the arab music industry? The girl in the youtube video only discovered arab music three years ago...and now she is considered the next Nancy Ajram đ¤˘UNFAIR.
