First of all, that's one brilliant title. When I read it, I got all excited with various visions of KrYaansh AUs like a runaway heiress and a mechanic or a horse trainer and a spoilt brat you know?
Anyways, I've alwaya felt that Sharon and Kriya were two sides of the same coin. Both are startlingly alike underneath the obvious stark differences. And I LOVED how in character they kept the whole interaction. Loved the coziness of that statement, the complete look of awe on Kriya's face when Sharon offers and her automatically going on full alert. Like the fact that she was cautious - they had been rivals, it's natural to think something is fishy when your arch rival suddenly wants to be friends with you when even your friends wont look at you!
And can I mention how much I absolutely adored the fact that it was Sharon who alluded to the Swaron connection? To me, it almost looked like the first step one takes towards finding acceptance from the boyfriend's best friends. Because let's admit it, Sharon loves Swayam and no matter what went down between Sharon and Kriya, she would still want Kriya to accept her as Swayam's girl. It's a girl thing and I liked that glimpse of a vulnerable girl in the strong steely Sharon.
Loved the impulsive hug because it was soo Kriya and the way Sharon didn't just shrug her off. Also as you rightly pointed out, there are going to be a few power struggles in the future but I have a feeling Kriya might have finally found a girl best friend after a long time. Although it would take them a long time to get there.
Bhenji to Babe, Best friends nahi, Sharon nahi badli - should get special mention all over again cuz AWESOME!
And the sheer joy on Kriya's face when she informs Swayam and the way the two giggle about it. SOOO CUTE! It's almost like they'd never stop being Weaklings on some level always a little starry-eyed. :D
You know what else I absolutely loved today?
The way Sharon convinced the gang and then walked out once she spotted Swayam there. She's slowly building something between them but it's still too early. She isn't ready to share it with him - she wants to finish the process first. Anyhow I loved this restrain from Sharon's side and how it's pulling Swayam towards her. Too subtly for him to even notice.
Now something today got me thinking, we have a new management coming in for the canteen - does this mean new characters? Does this mean new characters that might somehow play a role in the very meddled lives of this team already? I hope so, the more the merrier and it would be fun to watch.
Nil and Vicky were funny today - surprisingly but I miss the bollywood crazed Vicky who only had eyes for Neha. Awww. I was rewatching some old KriYaansh scenes and man those two were adorable.
Which leads to the absolutely amazing scene of the day! It was sooo much fun to watch the switch turning on and off with Rey today. She affects him. There's no denying that. Did in the past, and does even now. No matter what happens between them or how much time passes, she'll always have that effect on him whether he likes it or now. I loved the slight jerk of his head when he realises it's her there and the schooled stone face. It would have taken everything in Rey to keep his face absolutely blank around her when there were sooo many emotions battling inside him. And that shines through clearly in the canteen scene.
And then the group project! Oh and can I just mention how I grinned wide when Swayam couldn't believe he'd been paired with Sharon and moves his table slightly away as soon as he can with that look on his face. It was sooo cute and so puppy love-ish. And I loved the way Sharon grinned in response.
The way Rey forgets everything when Kriya laughs. Haaai. That look of pure absolute admiration and worship on his face - like he can't believe someone could look like that. Like he can't think to see anything in this world except that. Like her laughing face is all there is. It's WOW.
He forgets everything. His surroundings, his emotions, the past, the present even himself. And that is why some amazing times are coming up. Cuz as soon as he catches himself off guard, his anger and fury comes out stronger and he lashes out in more venomous ways. This battle between reason and reactions will be sooo much fun to watch.
Raw hate vs. untamable love - *SIGH*. I really really can't wait.
Thanks for a great write-up!
Can't wait until Monday - him being all aggressive and pinning her always does things to me! Ugh.
