As far as a fictional scene goes, this scene was absolutely perfect. There was nothing wrong with the scene except for the very presence of Subhadra.😛
But the acting was done beautifully, the seeds of the immortal friendship and unconditional love between Keshava and Dhananjaya were sown in a very interesting way.👏
Some people are saying that this scene ( which is not even supposed to be in Mahabharata) was enacted in a very wrong way. I.e. Arjuna being rude and doubtful towards Lord Krishna who he is expected to trust with his eyes closed. So people are feeling offended by the supposed disrespect towards Krishnas intelligence.
It almost feels like people are just lurking around waiting for every opportunity they can get to find faults in Arjunas character. Why is that? What can poor Arjuna do if the CVs have decided to bring Subhadra in the show even before she was born? This Arjuna is obviously going to behave according to the present situation in hand i.e. a situation where he has to deal with Krishnas unborn sister.😆
Yes, Arjuna was never disrespectful towards Krishna but that was a Krishna who was Arjunas best friend and also recognized by Arjuna as a Divine Deity that he was. Arjuna followed this Krishna blindly without ever questioning him because he had faith in this Krishna who he ate, walked, slept and played with, who he joked with and conspired with, who always gave the best advice and shared all his secrets and cherished all of Arjunas secrets, whose first priority was Arjunas well being and happiness. i wish i had a friendship like this in my life.
But this Arjuna is just curious or perhaps even envious of a Krishna who he has never even seen or talked to let alone had faith in. Krishna is just a mighty and mysterious stranger right now with a tendency of saying flippant stuff that sound like the weirdest puzzles no one has ever heard😎👍🏼 and giving even more weird but extremely pretty gifts to people he has never met🤣 and whose prowess people never get fed up of talking about.
Arjuna behaved like any normal person would behave. Question of trust, respect and faith is frankly stupid at this stage in their relationship. In the original texts, Arjuna never said anything like this because obviously he was never given a chance to discuss about Krishnas quirks before he met him.
In this scene, Arjuna joked and Subhadra taunted him using Krishnas name, so what was so disrespectful about Arjuna taunting her back by questioning her brothers intelligence? And that is it, that is all Krishna is to Arjuna at this stage in the show, Subhadras elder brother. Not his best friend, his soul twin, his other half or his worshiped God.
At one end people want Krishna to be introduced soon and at the same time they want the CVs to follow everything according to the texts. Reality check- Not Possible. At the speed in which the show is proceeding, it would take moths to introduce Krishna. According to the texts, Krishna makes his entry in Draupadis Swayamvar which would take so much time right now.😭Probably in 2014. So if they will follow the text as it is, no chance of seeing Krishna. So either just take whatever you are getting or keep patience.
P.S. Those five blue stones given to Arjuna ... when i first saw them they reminded me of the Pandavas. In that scene, Arjuna kept saying " Awashya sabse aage ... sabse aage rahunga ... sabse aage" and the particular stone that arjuna picked up had only one mirror stuck on it, it was the biggest out of all. On the other stones, the bigger mirror was always in the front or in the center of the other relatively small gems stuck on the stones. Even when they all leave Hstinapur with Guru Drona, Arjuna was riding his horse ahead of everyone. I wondered if it is all connected and symbolizes something?
