Yup Zoe had her Aapi and Jiju but there have been a void in her life that even they couldn't fill in. And that's pretty apparent.

Exactly, he said he wanted his family before his eyes,if these were his last days, but only asked for Dilshad to come over. He made no move to apologize to Asad? Ask him to come stay with him either or even just make an effort to improve things with him? So is Asad not family? No one thinks how that could be one of the many reasons Asad is hurt. Years ago he snatched his father from Asad, now he took his Ammi away too, and also never asked for him or his wish, or his support?

In and out of here real quick, just to reply to this post. Once again, Ankita, your clear thinking emerges and cuts through the back and forth.

Heres the thing about QH. We look for so much symbolism and foreshadowing in the smallest of things, often reading much into nothing (example entangled bracelets, camera angles etc). We however, spend so much energy discussing spoken lines without taking into account the expressions on our talented casts' faces.
If you have never been in a relationship, one that you know is lifelong, you will probably not understand that the ones who love each other hurt each other the most. They say things to each other, but mean very different things. Zoya was really trying to tell Asad - dont shut yourself off, and calling his bluff when she said the patthar dil dialogue and decided against going. He was trying to say - you hurt me, when he said he was late for his flight. To say that they dont give each other priority just on the basis of spoken lines - that is really not getting the complete picture. Zoya and Asad communicate through what is unspoken much more than what is spoken. Thats why she was not mad at him for punching that wall. Thats why he was glad to see her at the dargah. That refusal, plea, the accusation, the retort - its the dance of lovers in pain. And their pain is inflicted mutually as well as by others - their flesh and blood. This is the essence of their chemistry.
OK, logging out! Just my POV. Shout out to the Ankies! You both are amazing. If you ever run for political office, I am voting for you!

Thank you so much 🤗

Asad is a man of few words, and rightly so they have chosen an actor for the character who doesn't even need dialogues to emote his feelings. His change of expression in the same frame and dialogue was evident enough to show he wouldn't go had Zoya said she needed him, it was only because she included the name he was running away from that made him stubborn again.

AsYa communicate without words, so many times neither have spoken their exact feelings to the other but the other knows what each of them is feeling. Asad and Zoya both think about everyone else before themselves and that is EXACTLY why they both love the other so dearly too.
