Should Men Always Be Older Than Women??

hey everyone😊

im new to this forum...this topic just came to mind so i thought i would post it here😊 hope you dont mind...

many many years ago it was vital for a man to be older than a woman for a marriage to take place, and that still exists...though there have been some exceptions, but most women only get married to men those who are older than them and most men only get married to women who are younger than them

as i said there have been some exceptions e.g. saif and amrita, and im not just tlking about celebrities but generally, what do you think?

should men always be older than women in relationships such as marriage?

is it just poor mentality and ego that makes people feel this or is this our indian tradition?

is it right for our society to dhape up this way?

i know i dont have much to say or explain, but i was just wondering what you guys think...please do leave your thoughts

No, if a man can be older than a woman then why not woman.its just created by some ppl of poor mentality.

If we talk abt our society then I think its OK with society ( there r lots of examples around me where Woman is older than a man, in the older times and also today's time,).

but I'll say Its depend on individual's thinking and mentality that what they think abt it.

I think there shouldn't be a big age difference in any direction ...can create problems 😊

I agree with Sarah and Ani. It's a fact that girls are more mature than guys at the same age level. Though with increasing age the gap becomes less but it still exists. So, it's more common for the guy to be slightly older than the girl in a marriage but please no Batuknath and Julie.

this is a tradition followed from centuries coz a growth in a woman takes place in a rate much faster than in a man...

a girl reaches her teens early becomes girl then lady then by reaching 40 she looks middle-aged
whereas a man looks teenager till he turns adult ie 18... then he is called a boy until 28 or 30 then a man & he is called middle-aged in his late 40s....

this is proven by the scientists and is the fact that changes in a Woman's life are more faster than that of in a man's life...

thats why to find a balanced pair, it was reasonable to find bride 5-6 years younger than the groom ... so that with growing age they look made for each other...

I'll give you an example: Saif Ali Khan & Amrita Singh...
they married with a huge age difference but if you look at them now they look like mother-son... so to avoid such complications and troubles where ppl get insecured or embarrassed, these customs are made...

I dont say I agree with the above explaination here...
but it is the answer to "why" of this topic 😆
