I hope some of the forum girls who had questioned Jodha's logic and arguments got some answers today. She continues to use the Chanakya neeti and also shows a deep understanding of the situation. I love it when she thanks Shenshah or pranams him. I am still NOT used to it like Jalal you see, pata hi nahin chala kab Jodha itni badal gayi! She respects his badi ammi and her cheapo son's decision. I was so happy to see that Jodha finally pointed out that the current system and law allows child marriages. She is very emotional about the pain the young girls have to go through as most of the times they are used as objects by their parents. When the Tasneem track started I had mentioned that Jodha is the catalyst for many changes that are occurring in Agra and in Jalal. I agree that she needs Shenshah's support and cannot do it alone, but then if no one even steps up to declare that they want a change - how will it ever happen? We all knew that Salima would support Jodha. I didn't think that MA would be such a fool. After she humiliated Ruqu so much, she thought by just a comment of Ruqu having the most political knowledge would erase all of it. I am not sure if Ruqu would have supported Jodha so easily had it not been to her being put down by MA. She requests that Jalal ask the girl directly what her decision was as that was the most important thing. I found it little odd coming from Ruqu who always is shown to be giving the right advice. A kid who does not know what marriage is, would she be strong enough to decide if she wants the marriage or not. Why did Ruqu not think that she could easily be swayed by her parents or by Adham. MA is shocked that all the begums are against her. So here is my advice to you MA - 'begume aayegi aur jayegi, par tumhara kaput tumhe sirf yahan se dhakke marke nikalwayega!'
The scene where Jodha is smiling about being declared 'khaas' by Jalal was so well done, unlike the one that was done yesterday with Jalal. The main reason was because they gave time to it and also showed some flashbacks. Poor Moti like us always thinks Jodha must have had another tiff with Jalal. I did not understand why Jodha thought that 'Shenshah kabhi gussa to kabhi maan'. The gussa is such an old story dear, it was last shown during MC track. Instead your thought should have been - 'how come I was always angry with Shenshah and now I only feel respect for him'. Moti was so happy for her friend and advises her to spend some time alone to figure out her feelings. What a solid advice - 'Shenshah ne yeh faisle dil se karke tumhe apna samjha hai, ab tumhari baari hai'. Jodha, khana khilakar mat taal dena Jalal ko. After the law is passed in favor of Tasneem, you better come up with a really new way of thanking Jalal. I thinking kissing him on his forehead or hugging might be some of the good options of returning Jalal's favors.
Everyone in the court (except cheapo and his mom) are shocked at Tasneem's understanding of marriage. It was so sweet of Jalal to call her 'beta' and where his own elder brother is thinking of marrying this 'beta'. Its pretty obvious to everyone that Tasneem has been forced. Jalal is left with the fact that everything is happening according to law but does not feel right at all. I am pretty sure yesterdays Jodha reminder about how Shenshah can change the law came into Jalal's mind. Before such a drastic step is taken, he decides to understand the matter even better. He is shocked to see the plight of these girls who are married without their consent at such a young age. The simile about the rose plant was excellent and Jalal understanding its deep meaning was no surprise. He is getting closer to changing the law but has a valid discussion with Atga sahib if people would accept this law. Jalal does not get emotional at all, all through this track he shows extreme patience with deep contemplation. This is what makes him always make the best judgement. During MC track he lost his stability and made a huge mistake. Ever since then we only see him stay very balanced during any crisis. The cheapo has listened to everything, I wonder what he is going to do next. May be he eloped with Tasneem and hence the mad Ruqu in precap.
Precap: I never thought I would see Ruqu getting all emotional about an issue that does not concern her in anyway. I am very happy to see this new avataar of hers, hope she continues to pressurize Jalal in passing the new law against child marriage. MA - I hope you keep making more mistakes of putting down other people, it only seems to inspire them to do the right thing.
