Jassi and Neha have picked up their children from school (Vedika and Nikki happen to be in the same school) and have brought them to an ice-cream parlour for a treat. While Vedika plays with her strawberry crush and Nikki enjoys a chocolate sundae, Jassi and Neha discuss the turn of events.
Neha sounds depressed. "Maine kitni koshish ki, Jassi, uss attendant ka pata lagaane ki…..lekin ab toh wo register hi destroy ho gaya hai…..ab hume uss raat ka koi aur witness kahaan se milega?"
Jassi: Isme tumhari kya galti hai Neha….but try to jog your memory…..shayad tumhe yaad a jaye ki uss raat, kaun duty pe tha?
Neha: (despairingly) Maine kahaan na….uss raat meri tabiyat bahut kharaab thi….main toh apne room se baahar hi nahin nikli…..kaise yaad hoga?
Jassi looks down, disappointed. Her ice-cream has finished, so she wipes her hands and walks over to the waste bin to throw the tissue paper. Just as she is leaning over, she gets a vague feeling that someone is watching her. She jerks her head up quickly, only to find that Parvatlal has brushed past her!

She glares at him, but he coolly walks back towards her and says, with exaggerated sweetness, "Jassi ji….aap!! Yeh bhi kaisi uncchi baat hai….ki hum jaahan jaate hain, aap wahin mil jaati hai…!!" (winks and leers🤢) "Kahin aap……hamara peecha toh nahin kar rahi hai??"
Jassi gives him her most disgusted expression and walks off. Pervman stares thoughtfully after her. As she returns to her place and sits down, Neha peers over to where he is standing. "Yeh kaun tha Jassi? Bahut jaani-pehchaani shakl hai!"
Jassi then reminds her that it was Parvatlal who, along with Aryan and lawyer Jha, had conspired to get her, Jassi, embroiled in the Anuj Shastri murder case. Neha sighs as she remembers. Jassi looks quizzically at her.
Neha explains that is ironical—the one man they know from Nainital, who was associated with her husband's murder case and who might possibly have some clues in his possession, is the one whom they can never trust to help them.😭 Jassi frowns and nods. "Neha…..iss aadmi par bharosa karna toh pagalpan hoga….pata nahin Meera aur Gajanan Kaka ne isse Oberoi Industries mein kaise rakh liya……zaroor isme iski koi chaal hogi!"
She is right, only she has no idea how much. Parvatlal rushes to CJ and shows him the pictures of Jassi, Neha and their children that he has managed to click on his cellphone camera. CJ is shocked to see Neha with Jassi. "Parvatlal! Yeh aurat….yeh Jassi ke saath kya kar rahi hai?"
Parvatlal scratches his forehead. "Yeh aurat……aap isse jaante hai? Hume bhi iski shakl bahut jaani-pehchaani si lagti hai….." then he remembers and exclaims, "Arre sirji….yeh toh Neha Shastri hai……issi ke case mein toh hamne Jassi toh phasaane ki koshish ki thi…."
CJ's face contorts as Parvatlal explains all the details of those sordid times. As he finishes, CJ has an expression of anxiety, almost panic, on his face.
He thinks, "Neha Shastri! Anuj Shatri ki wife! Isse toh mere past ke baare mein Anuj ne bahut kuch bataya hoga…..agar yeh aur Jassi mil gaye hai, toh mere bahut saare secrets khul sakte hai…..par main aisa nahin hone doonga……chaahe iske liye, mujhe kisi bhi hadh tak jaana pade!" His sinister expression bodes ill for Jassi and Neha.
