Ranbir and Parineeti likely to be in Karan Johar's next film

The buzz doing the rounds in the trade is that Ranbir Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra might come together in Karan Johar's next.

The producer-director was earlier working on a movie based on the Indo-Pak Partition, which he is not keen on pursuing anymore. So the focus of attention has shifted to a different project.

While talking to us last week, Karan had said, "I am not doing the Partition love story at the moment. I am going to start work on another film, which I will direct. At the moment, I am writing a script for it and once things get finalise I will announce it."

Also in the first episode of Koffee with Karan, Salman Khan inadvertently revealed that Ranbir might be starring in KJo's next.

According to a source close to him, "Karan is still writing the script for his next and most probably he has signed Ranbir for the same project. KJo has been scouting for a new face opposite the Kapoor lad and he is seriously considering Parineeti for the same."

Karan and Parineeti remained unavailable for comment.

Hmmm. Another article says something else (which I am sure most people in here wouldn't like).

Karan had once claimed that he'd only direct a film if SRK played the lead in it. But after Student Of The Year, can one assume that he's gone back on his words? "Technically not. SRK might not have acted in the film, but he still co-produced it. But if you ask me, I'd really like to direct SRK and Kajol together once again. I am working on a script towards that."

He admits that he may also have been a bit choosy while picking his team. "What's wrong with that. Everyone has a certain level of comfort with a few people and so do I. It helps me work in tandem with them," he adds.

So you never know. It might be another multi starrer like K3G.

A movie with SRK.. other with Ranbir.. WooHoo.. Pari teri toh lottery lag gayi.

Hope, the tall cook doesn't send prawn curry to K-Jo as well.

Have never seen any of Parineeti's movies but maybe I'll watch this one. This pairing looks weird to me but who knows? They might just click with the audience.
