Then root for SL today against Bangladesh...

Here is why:

It may not feature the Men in Blue, but tonight's match between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh holds huge interest for India. The best possible outcome for India would be for Sri Lanka to beat Bangladesh. Thereafter, India's dream script would read something like this—India beat Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh beat Bermuda, but not by a big enough margin to edge out Sri Lanka on net run rate. This would ensure that India and Sri Lanka go through to the Super 8, with India carrying two points from the win over Lanka.

What happens if Bangladesh beat Lanka? The India-Lanka match will become a straight knock-out. But even if India win, they will go into the Super 8 with zero points, while Bangladesh will start with two, having already beaten India. And that's why, if you truly support the Indian team, it makes sense to root for Sri Lanka tonight.

yeah...but if Bangladesh lose to srilanka today..and India beat Srilanka...there is NO GUARANTEE India can make it to the Super Eight...it will come down to NET RUN RATE between India and Bangladesh...so that means India might still be kicked out of the tournament if Bangladesh beats Bermuda by a huge margin...the safest passage for India would therefore happen if Bangladesh does beat Srilanka

Agree Raksha ji...its in best bet for us..indians..to go for SL win over Bang. So when India beat SL..we have chance for Super 8s

But this will be a tough match today between SL and Bang, both team looking extremely well..ofcourse..Sri Lanka has more positives then Bangladesh

Its not everyday people can come up with a score like 413 in 50 overs...So rest assured, if its coming to the net run rate, India is sailing through safe..We have to win on SL nevertheless...

Actually India wins against SL by a very small margin...Their incredible net runrate will come crashing down....which means all BD has to do is beat Bermuda by a reasonable margin and thus kick India out of the tournament even if India beats SL...However if BD beats SL today...all India needs to do is beat SL (even 1 run will do) and they will be through to the next round..

agree but if we win like that..then when we go into super 8s..our RR would be 0...which we dont want

me too want sri lanka to win!!! if sri lanka loses to bangla...they will fight with india with alllll itz might to get into super 8......but if sri lanka wins to bangla...they will take it easy with india...(hopefully)

and looking at india's condition....we need all the luck we can get at the moment...we need india to win from sri lanka...

den lanka and india will be in.....den bangla can beat bermuda...and they will also be in....

this alteast gives india a chances to be chosen for super 8......but if bangla wins to lanka.....and den they also win to bermuda....they are for sure in....den srilanka and india will be under pressure...sri lanka winning from india means india goes back home...india winning from srilanka means they styl have a chance...

soooo yeahhhh....i want sri lanka to beat bangla......den india to beat srilanka.. 😳

am selfish too...ill always cheer india even if they lose 😊
