Guys, I know that this is not directly related to lrl, but what I am going to sat has a lot to do with the youth, and lrl does celebrate youth.
What happened to Bob Woolmer has shocked the whole world, not just because he was the Pakistan's coach, but because his death highlights what we have done to the game.
Whether suicide or murder, or a heart attack, his mental condition shows how much the cricketers are pressurised. No doubt, they get paid for playing, but it is just a game, and like everything in life, it is unpredictable.
Who creates the pressure that leads to such incidents??? It's us, the citizens who sit back and watch matches on our TVs, and curse the players when they play badly, and shower them with adulation when they perform well.
We stone their houses when they lose a match, and fill their homes with flowers when they win.
The way Dhoni's house was stoned this time, and the violence which occured during the last World Cup are shameful.
As a country, we should be ashamed.
It is your right to hope for and expect an Indian win, but please, this violence is unnecessary......
My request to you is that please refrain from such activities, and stop others from doing so too............
