Guys, I know that this is not directly related to lrl, but what I am going to sat has a lot to do with the youth, and lrl does celebrate youth.

What happened to Bob Woolmer has shocked the whole world, not just because he was the Pakistan's coach, but because his death highlights what we have done to the game.

Whether suicide or murder, or a heart attack, his mental condition shows how much the cricketers are pressurised. No doubt, they get paid for playing, but it is just a game, and like everything in life, it is unpredictable.

Who creates the pressure that leads to such incidents??? It's us, the citizens who sit back and watch matches on our TVs, and curse the players when they play badly, and shower them with adulation when they perform well.

We stone their houses when they lose a match, and fill their homes with flowers when they win.

The way Dhoni's house was stoned this time, and the violence which occured during the last World Cup are shameful.

As a country, we should be ashamed.

It is your right to hope for and expect an Indian win, but please, this violence is unnecessary......

My request to you is that please refrain from such activities, and stop others from doing so too............

i agree with you completely..and me totally aganist the violence... actually all i think is we should support our team and not pressurize them... i know we have a right to expect a win from them.. but for that we should never become violent.... it something like game jeete tho wah wah karna aur haare tho hye hye karna..... failure and sucess is a part and parcel of the game... and always remember if once we loose , it is not the end , there is always a next time... whether win or loose me will stand by team India... 👍🏼
and me feeling very bad for Pakistani coach Bob woolmer... 😭

i completely agree with with you completely yaar..............a game should be played like a game and not more on the basis of country's honour............if we win its ok..but if not, there's always a next time.........this is not the be all n end all of life..........its not that the players are losing the game of their own will........there's a luck factor too........and why cant people think that maybe the other team was better this time, they prepared better............i think people should stop taking things soo seriously...........and stop troubling the players for gods sake.........they are forgetting the spirit of the game...

luv,
vandana 😉

What i dont understand is-why is this world so crazy about cricket?esp india?as if they dont have anything better in life to do than to watch the same ball being thrown and either its a six or a four,or a one or two or he's out.this is the way the game goes?why destroy the poor guy's house or kill someone for the sake of losing a match.Jab jeetta hai to kaun unhe sa pe chadata hai?i think everything shld be done moderately.like too much anything is bad-i think it should be treated just like a game-not a religion that has to be followed neccesarily and if one loses results in destructon and voilence
