After Hrithik Roshan's exit and Sushant Singh Rajput's subsequent entry in Shekhar Kapur's 'Paani', it's Katrina Kaif who has been dropped from the film.

Buzz is that Shekhar is keen to sign Deepika Padukone opposite Sushant in the film.

This isn't the first time that Katrina has lost a film to arch rival Deepika. "Shekhar is yet to lock the star cast of the film. Apart from Sushant, no other actor has been signed yet. We're in talks with other actors, but nothing has been finalised yet," says a member from the unit.

The creative team of the film didn't deny approaching Dippy for 'Paani'. With Katrina's dates are going awry with the delay of 'Bang Bang', it leaves her with two films " 'Jagga Jasoos' and 'Fitoor', both of which are yet to take off. Deepika on the other hand, is busy with 'Finding Fanny Fernandes', 'Happy New Year' and Imitaz Ali's next. Last year, Deepika had lost 'Dhoom 3' to Katrina and looks like their tug of war continues.

DP was offered Dhoom 3? I highly doubt it

i guess kristen stewart was supposed to star wid Hrithik in Paani ages back, so as HR is no more doing d film, donno about kristen..

Neither DP nor Kat are in Paani. Shekhar Kapoor was looking for an actress from the west for the role, and he has stuck to that. He said it himself.
