OS starts





A busy Airport with lots of passengers... among them a handsome young man was seated waiting for his guest to arrive impatiently..

father: beta cool down !! why r u walking around as if waiting for ur wife's delivery outside the room ?? his brother laughed at the remark

the young man glared a look at his bro and settled next to him... taking his mobile out he got lost into beauty of the picture and ofcourse the flashback reel starts !!!



20 years before...

there was 2 best friends from childhood... infact best business partners ever seen too... each one chose the bride for the other and everything they did was so close... they r none other than suraj pratap scindia and satyendra dubey...

mr.dubey chose g3 for sp and sp chose shoba for him...as their business grew their wealth and happiness increased with it.. both build big houses next to each other.. and people used to call them twin houses bcoz both looked the same without even a small modification from the rooms to the garden... soon sp-g3 was blessed with a cute baby boy and they named him Yash Scindia, the proud heir of scindia family...

sp used to say shoba that they will definitely get a girl baby for their son and as their bahu too.. and it happened as their wish also...

It was the night before the start of a New year and both the families were involved in pakka celebration.. lots of masti with friends and business people.. when the clock struck 12, delivery pain started for shoba and they rushed to the hospital... it was tensed moment as the doctor said condition is little critical...

and after some time.. a baby's cry was heard and everybody felt relieved knowing both the baby and mother are safe.. yash was little 5 year old by that time and he was so excited to see his new companion asking non-stop questions to g3... so finally the nurse allowed them to see the cute baby girl with lovely dove shaped eyes sleeping near shoba..

sp was so happy to see his wish come true and shared a loving hug with his sister.. and also said his bahu has finally arrived in this world.. yash being so little did not understand the meaning behind it but kept on standing near the baby.. as he was playing with her soft hands, the baby opened her eyes and got a tight hold of his finger.. yes the first person she saw .. was her yash..

yash was so happy to see a little bundle of joy and asked shoba " can i keep her with me maa...please i will take care of her very carefully and will be always with her.." as he spoke the baby was constantly looking at him as of registering his face in her

shoba smiled and patted on his cheeks said " sure yash beta she came to see you only... u can keep her and play also..." yash was so happy to get her permission and that was the start of their relation...

its was the naming ceremony and yash already chose a name for her but kept it secret from everyone.. finally when the pandit asked to call the name in baby's ears.. yash said " Arthi Arthi Arthi" all were happy to see the bond and love yash had for the baby and it was her name from that moment...

everyday in the morning yash used to visit arthi give a good morning kiss and leave to school .. similarly he will wait for the evening to arrive so that he can meet his arthi.. so after getting home, he used to get freshen and run to see her.. and poor g3 have to run behind him to make him have some snacks and milk... and arthi used to be so happy when yash is around her. if she cries, yash would stand the next minute before her.. before going to sleep yash will make sure arthi has slept then leave seeing her smiling face.. dubey and sp were so happy to see their child's closeness

days passed by.. months passed by and years also passed and now arthi is 4 years old... also yash got a little brother prateik who is 3 months now...
so no lack of fun with these 3 children around... each birthday came as a festival to the place... days went on smoother when a time came for dubey to leave india for a new project... sp decided he will stay in india dealing with branch here and dubey will look after the branch over there.. both were feeling sad to leave from each other and the kids cant stay away from each other even for a single day.. but this development was needed for the business so they took the decision against their wish...

when yash came to know of the matter.. he was heart broken.. how can he stay without seeing arthi and shoba maa.. his day started and ended with her.. and it was so difficult to pacify yash and arthi being little was easily convinced with some reason.. it was a week before their departure .. yash came with a gift for arthi.. she was so happy to see the gift and opened it excitedly...

inside was a strings of colorful beads and stones that had the name written as ARTHI YASH and a chain with pendant inside which there was photo of both... immediately she wore it and asked is it nice for her ?? yash kissed on her forehead.. said " yes princess "

yash: arthi will u forget me if u go away from me ??

arthi: no yash how can i forget u..i will be always for u and she gave her favorite barbie doll to yash.. arthi loved that doll so much that she wont spare it for any cause.. but today she gave it whole heartedly to yash as her memory..

arthi: keep it with u safely.. this doll is same as me...

yash promised her to keep it safely and promised to himself that he wont leave her for any cause

and it was the day to leave... yash was so sad but hid his tears as arthi will start to cry... it was dreadful for sp and dubey too leave off and they shared a tight hug... while a small prateik was smiling in arthi's lap...yash was not even a second away from arthi and he wanted to memorize the moments with her..

finally after a tight hug from yash.. arthi left with some unknown sadness in her...

after that day.. yash had the doll always with him as it gave the presence of arthi with him.. and they talked through phones and online chats... the moments he spoke to arthi was the happiest time of the day.. g3 could feel the miss of arthi for yash and realised they cant be separated by anyone..

so now u will know who is the handsome man haina.. yes its the same yash waiting for his arthi to arrive after 17 years... since arthi did her studies in US dubey stayed there until she completes everything.. and now they r returning back to india..

yash when came to know of this .. was jumping in joy... he cant wait to see her and wanted to embrace her in his arms... and ultimately he fell in love with her these years and he expected she too will be the same feelings for him...

finally the announcement was made for the arrival of passengers.. and they ran to the place to receive dubey, shoba and arthi... but yash's eyes were searching only for arthi on the whole crowd..

but suddenly a blow of air washed over him leaving the cool breeze.. and he turned to spot a pair of attractive eyes with long hair flowing in the air..
as the beautiful girl came down little by little he could see his arthi so pretty and gorgeous in her pink salwar suite... just like an angel...

he was completely lost in her beauty and did not notice arthi waving at him..

finally he got to the present time and waved back at her.. sp and dubey hugged back with all the love they had missed these years... they had endless conversation and arthi took blessings from sp-g3.. g3 hugged her as tears missed from her eyes..

g3: may God bless u with happiness beta.. and nobody's eyes should fall on u keeping a black mark behind her ears..

finally she came to yash and his heart started beating fast...

arthi: how r u yash ? and gave a soft side hug to him.. yash felt excited and hugged her back..

yash: i am very fine arthi.. i missed u so much and u r looking great.. my little arthi has become so big.. arthi blushed at his praise and said " u r also very handsome yash.. how many girls r behind u handsome ? "

yash: oh ho dont start again madam... come on lets go home..

arthi: wait a minute yash and turned back to see a young man in dashing black shirt smiling at her.

yash: who is that arthi ? do u know him ?

arthi: ofcourse yash. he came with us and he is also my close friend...

yash was getting confused a little but smiled to her and soon it faded as he saw that person hugging arthi... his face became red hot seeing this and they broke the hug...

arthi: yash this is karan.. and we studied in the same university... and he is my first indian friend i found there... tapping on his shoulders... her closeness with karan was making yash feel insecure...

then karan introduced himself to yash and yash found him to be friendly person and no wonder arthi is so close with him... then they started to leave home and sp had arranged a grand dinner for them even though their house is next door..

prateik even though 9 years younger than yash found the confusion in his bhaiya...

while having dinner... yash reserved a seat for arthi next to him and she sat there.. but karan was seated next to arthi.. and again it disturbed yash...
when yash wants to say something to her, karan would start at the same time and yash has to stop his part... arthi's actions were like ignoring yash with concentrating on karan.. he felt that his hopes were a waste and arthi did not feel anything for him..

soon after dinner karan left to his home and yash took arthi to his room...
the entire room was filled with yash, arthi and prateik's pictures... from childhood days... arthi felt so happy to see those memories after long time... she touched the pictures trying to feel the happy moments of those days...

yash got the barbie doll and showed it to her..." remember this doll arthi ?? the one you gave me to keep safe..."
arthi got it from him and hugged it... " i missed u buddy thank u so much yash"

yash: no mention arthi. and suddenly the chain struck his mind... he checked it on her but she was not wearing it.. and poor yash felt she does not love him..

then she left to sleep as the journey was so hectic and tired.. yash's day ended with lot of confusion...



the next day.. arthi came to see yash and he was little moody..

arthi: yash what happened to u ? why r u so silent nowadays

yash: nothing arthi. its bcoz of headache...

arthi: u could have told na.. i have the best treatment for this.. karan taught me. shall i tell u ?

the name of karan again irritated yash..." its ok arthi i will have medicine.."

arthi: no when i am there why do u need medicine and forced yash to lie down on her lap and massaged his head... yash felt so much relieved to get such care from arthi and was happy she did not forget him atleast

after some time...
arthi: now how do u feel yash ?

yash: much better than before.. u have magic in ur hands arthi...

arthi: all bcoz of karan and she left as g3 called her.. yash too followed her.. but stayed outside..

arthi entered the kitchen..
arthi: maa i am here and hugged g3 from back..

g3: arthi did u tell about ur...

arthi: no maa i should surprise him haina so still kept under suspense...
now yash was totally disturbed what would be that suspense...

g3: ok beta but be careful and patted her cheek

arthi: sure maa i will and left.. while yash hid so that arthi do not want to know he overheard the conversation...

and it was evening... karan came to see arthi...
karan: hi arthi... climate is so pleasant and cool today haina..

arthi: yes karan.. hmm can we have basket ball match between u and yash... lets see if u can beat him..

karan: hmm so u r opposing me with challange haina.. i am ready

arthi: ok i will get yash wait a moment...

and she went to call yash... arthi asked yash to come and play with karan.. initially he refused but arthi encouraged him and for her happiness yash went... through out the match arthi was cheering karan and yash felt broken but he did not want to lose infront of his aim and beat karan thus winning the match.

yash: see arthi i bet karan.. now what u say ?

karan: its just a game yash.. but i will also get a chance to win soon with a wink... then he left after sometime..



few months later...
sp, g3, yash and pratiek were having lunch when sp broached the topic...

sp: g3 dubey is thinking of arthi's marriage... she is going to complete 22 soon na

yash face became small with the topic of arthi's marriage.. his one side wish was he should be the groom under topic and other side feared what if someone else takes her away from him...

g3: haan ji.. my arthi is so pretty and am sure a big list will stand for her.. am i right yash ???

yash nodded his head with so much difficulty...

sp: no need of that g3 when we have the perfect person with us..

g3: who is that ?

sp: its none other than karan.. his family is also well respected one and so dubey is trying to finalise it... yash heart broke down but he wanted to know arthi's wish

yash: what about arthi bauji ?

sp: ofcourse she agreed yash and his family has fixed a auspicious date too..
we have to start the preparations from our side too.. its our daughter's engagement haina.

g3: yes ofcourse... and looked at yash who was in full thought.. when is the date fixed ji...

sp: in another 2 days... so yash..

yash: bauji i am going to meet my friend tomorrow at chennai and he is leaving for australia .. so i will not be able to come... yash tried to escape from his miserble condition...

sp: no yash.. how can u leave arthi's function.. ur first priority is always arthi only na..what happened now ??

yash: no bauji i will convince arthi somehow and he left to his room...

once he went inside his room, he locked the door and cried till his heart became empty trying to delete her.. wherever her turned was only arthi ..

yash st: u have changed arthi.. before 17 years u promised me that u will be always for me but now.. u have someone else in ur heart.. but still i love u arthi...i will love only u in my lifetime.. hugging the doll with his heart...

after sometime he heard the knock on the door and he washed his face before opening.. and it was prateik...

prat: bhaiya i know u love arthi bhabi so much.. and ur happiness lies in her happiness.. so atleast come for that please.. she will feel sad if u dont come...

yash hugged pratiek tyring to take his sadness out... " u r right chote.. what if she dont love me.. she has special place for me always.. its enough for me.. i will meet her now and left...


In arthi's room,
arthi was admiring at something when she heard yash's voice outside.. she hid it inside immediately and asked him to come in..

yash: congrats arthi and shook her hand...

arthi: thank u yash but maa told u r not coming why ???

yash: ermmm.. arthi i have..

arthi: no excuse u r coming and without u how can i be happy ? and she remembered something... " wait a sec na yash"

she went to her wardrobe and took a box from it.. coming to yash she handed it to him..
arthi: here see what i have got for u ?

yash: whats this arthi ? and opened to see a nice golden with meuron sherwani... its so nice arthi.. but why this much costly for me ?

arthi: who will i get this for other than u... u r always special for me...
and u should wear this for my engagemnt ok...

yash: anything for u arthi.. and he glanced around her room.. not even one pic of his was there... and thought to himself " my puppy love has no power arthi... u found ur true love.. "

arthi: what r u thinking this much time yash.. i would like to eat icecream now.. can we go out.. please

yash: ok arthi.. wait outside i will get the car...

so yash took arthi to icecream parlour and looking at her happiness yash prayed to keep her happy forever...



finally the day of the engagemnt came and yash would have left out saying some reason if arthi had not stopped him that day... he got ready in the suit arthi got for him and looked into the mirror and he imagined arthi standing beside him in a beautiful golden lehenga.. he tried to touch her but she vanished.. and outside everyone was ready ... so he left..

the engagement was fixed in the outside garden as their houses can accupy many people.. mostly all the functions are held here... and yash's eyes caught with arthi just the way he imagined few minutes before.. she smiled at him and yash said she was looking gorgoeus through his expressions... hiding all the sadness in him he saw karan chatting with his family ...

then the elder person announced it was time to start the function so he asked the groom to stand near arthi... yash saw karan moving towards her while she signalled something to him... what do u think would have happened...

it was unexpected for yash.. karan stopped in his way and came to yash..

karan: what r u waiting for yash.. go an stand near arthi... yash was dumbstruck by this surprise and a balloon that was hanging above his head blasted pouring colorful papars and glitters on him...

with no words to speak yash looked at arthi's wicked yet naughty smile towards him... yash understood that everything was a plan by his loving family...

sp with smile: yash why r u making my bahu to wait this much time ???

yash had tears of joy in his eyes..

karan: arree yash why r u crying ? we all know how much u love arthi and she loves u more than u love her.. so everything was a drama by us...
and made him stand near her...

arthi: how is my surprise yash ? and look here.. she pointed towards the chain that she was wearing... it was the same chain yash gifted her before she left..

yash: so u were wearing this always..

arthi: yes ji but i kept it hidden safely so that my surprise is not spoiled ...

pandit: ok exchange the rings my child...

arthi took the lead to put the ring that had her name embedded in it and yash too put the ring that had his name on her finger... everybody clapped for arya... dubey and sp hugged each other letting their happiness flow out and g3-shoba too hugged.. soon the dinner was served and everybody started to leave after wishing for their wedding to be done soon..

arthi was waiting for yash to have dinner with him after he has sent off his friends..

arthi: yash can we go for dinner ? i am hungry...

and she sensed someine pulling her ears.. it was shoba..

shoba: call ur would-be with respect arthi.. u cant call him by his name..

g3: arree its ok shoba.. she can call yash in whatevr way she likes..

arthi: thank u so much maa showing her tongue to shoba she dragged yash to eat..

shoba: bechara yash g3.. we played with him so much...

g3: but now arthi have to bear his punishment for sure and they laughed

arya bought food in their plates and started eating...
yash: arthi why did u wait for me this much time..

arthi: yash this is not at all a matter.. infact i have waited for u 17 long years... and got my love.. poor karan u might have scolded him very badly na

yash: hahaha. exactly arthi how can he be so close to my love.. but u r a big planner and u fooled me well

arthi: thank u so much for ur praises yash...can i ask u to feed me ? it has been a long time please..

yash was so pleased to feed his naughty arthi and karan bid them bye before leaving home...

karan: take care of my friend yash bye... and shared a hug



all were tired of the day and went to sleep but arya alone was chitchating in the garden when arthi asked yash to come to her room.

yash wondered what she is going to do ? and arthi started turning all the pics on the wall.. to his surprise, backside of the frame was yash's and their childhood pictures...

yash thought what else r u hiding from me arthi.. u have big brain !!

then she went to her bedside shelf and took out the bead strings(yes the one yash gave her) and showed it to him.. yash now realised both had true love ..
he did not know how to express his happiness and kissed her madly... arthi did not expect this sudden reaction yet it was a passionate one and arthi reciprocated to him... when they were lacking out of air, they broke off the kiss and yash could see arthi blushing red...

yash: u look so beautiful when ur cheeks r red my love

arthi: really ??

yash: can i prove it to u ??? and took her near the window where the moon was shining bright.. as arthi came forward.. moon moved from its place...

yash: see my dear.. bcoz of your beauty moon itself went away.. now u believe me..

arthi: yes yash and rested her head on his chest hugging him tightly...and continued " do u know what is the significance of this beads...

yash: no arthi what does it say ?

arthi: your name follows my name not after marriage but from the moment u gave me this yash ... every night i sleep only after admiring at the words "arthi yash" I Love you yash

yash: I Love you too arthi...

just then they heard a voice "bhaiya can we go home ? u have no right to be with my bhabi before wedding in this room hihi "

yash got irritated and shouted his name... arthi was giggling at his reaction and finally yash covered her with sheet and gave good night kiss before going to his room...

but not before saying "wait for me arthi i am coming through ur dream " and left with pratiek..

prateik: bhaiya everything was clearly planned before they came to india.. and u know how difficult it was for us all to act against u.. maa would have blurted out one day but thank god i came at the right time...

yash: oh what a loving family !!! and tightened his hold around prateik's neck.. and after some fighting with prateik, yash went to sleep peacefully thinking of arthi and his love also got succeeded with the help of his loving family...

can i say something maha today i found a southindian smell in this story in a very great sense i loved it too...u know initially when u had written 20 yrs backi thought of aarya s seperation and thought of some heart breaking one like i imagined third person entering b/n their love ...and when i read abt karans entry i was scared to the core thinking abt the worst ...but u know i thought then it is gift to isya on her birthday so it cant be a heart breaking one😉...then my brain started working and my heart beating came to normal😉😃...i m such a dramebaaz hainaa...but kya karoo thoda emotional hoon ...😳

Hey this story is so nice dear. For once I doubt Karan just like Yash. Her talk with G3 gave me some hint that she's up to something.. May be on her way to surprise Yash. When G3 and SP said about aarthi's marriage I was sure they are planning something..and she's going to marry Yash somehow as SP announced Aarthi is bahu when she was born and never can he be changed. Can he?
