Like if you're talking about heritage & all, then yes, you are Indian. If you're talking about like citizenship, then no.

kbc, indian idol, big boss do NOT count as copying because i am sure those are the official version of that show. see hit shows are sometimes shown in other countries, and are adapted for that country.

Personally, I don't like any of the Indian tv shows right now. I used to be a fan of JJKN, but after thats over...I am done w/ the main stream Kkekta drama type Indian shows coz they really annoy me. I can't bear that much drama. I still see interview shows like Koffee w/ Karan. But, I am not ashamed of them. They are popular because many people love these shows. IF is popular because of the love for these shows. We really can't be ashamed of shows that have so much support. They are just giving us what most of us ask for, its not the fault of the people behind these shows...

nice topic, Mitesh!

I agree...I was a big fan of JJKN...Kkusum was my first K-show which I enjoyed and then JJKN took the lead. After that I don't know why but this hatred for K shows grew. I feel many producers are also doing the same...Kaajal and Saloni are a few examples of Balaji based shows. I feel Indian Television has lot of potential and it is a shame that the shows are becoming centered around these K shows. Nevertheless that is no reason to hate Indian Television or even Indians. Guess what, this topic has gained so much attention that I am going to show it to him (my friend) and ask what he thinks now! I bet he will regret what he said.😛

Thanks for the compliment..and may I say congrats on your promotion!👏😊

That is what got me soo angry Raksha...how can you say you hate being indian because of Indian TV. As a british Indian it hurts to say many British Indians do hate being indian (they don't think it is cool) and their excuse is always Indian Television. When college ends and you are packed in a bus with fellow students sometimes you get to hear things like..."ohh I can't watch that show, it's always Indian Hour from 7-11 at my house." Is this a bad thing?! I feel it is ever more important in a foreign country to let you're culture shine through...isn't it? Regardless of the endless list of K-shows..I would be proud to say I am a part of Indian Television, and a proud Indian.
