CHAPTER 5: THE SIMPLE SOLUTION

As M examined the plethora of pink visions that he was being blessed with, his mind went back to when it started. He realized that, it had started with the sudden pop up of the level sizzler and its associated colour in his brain. He also realized that the thought had come up when he was searching for a solution for this whole Mini thing.

He wondered, why his mind was telling him that the two were connected. In what way were they connected? Try as he did, he could not come up with any connection between the unfortunate sizzlers saddled with the baby pink colour and the situation with Mini.

He decided to give his mind a rest, since it really was overworked (poor thing) what with all the pink symbolism and the situation with Mini and its offshoots (VV/Tailers and so on).

He decided to sleep on it. He slept a dreamless sleep (Well almost, since he did see Q dancing to Tamanche pe Disco in his dreams). He refused to dwell on why he had that dream, and pretended he had a dreamless sleep. Hence dear readers, the statement above of a dreamless sleep. But yes, he was nowhere near cracking the puzzle of the sizzlers being related to Mini's situation (MS).

He also realized that the pink no longer stood out now that he realized what his mind had been trying to tell him. Alas! The "what" had been solved, but the "why" remained.

As he reached the palace on this gloriously bright summers day, he felt a surge of energy course through him, and he was determined that he would be able to come up with a solution the whole mess facing the kingdom.

He realized that he needed a temporary reprieve from this whole MS for a few days to come up with and implement a plan, without having issues cropping up every now and then.

He went up to VB and told him to ban Mini from the kingdom for a few days. He also told him that within that time, he would come up with a plan to tackle the situation and implement a plan.

"But what about Mini's followers? Wont they create a huge row if we do that?", asked VB. M replied that they would, but would soon lose interest without Mini to egg them on, which was the situation when Mini was in prison( The prisons were out in the open in IF where everyone could see the prisoners. Whenever Mini got imprisoned, his followers gathered around the prison, where they could see Mini, and got inspired by his gestures and waves.)

VB did not have too many options and therefore accepted M's offer. He called the head Odd, and asked her to ban Mini from entering the kingdom for 3-4 days.

While M walked out of the palace, deep in thought, he happened to glance into Q's room. Q caught his eye and beckoned him in. He went. She was looking at the levels and the associated colours. She said, "M, this colour for sizzlers is so bad. How can a pale baby pink represent a sizzler? Where is the co-relation?" Now the discerning and attentive reader, which I am sure you all are, will remember that Q didn't think too much of the choice of colour for the sizzler level, and went along with it, only since VB dedicated it to her. M unfortunately had not paid attention those days, since had been bored of the whole thing, and desperate to get home. He felt this was change of opinion, which he attributed to something else altogether. Fortunately, he was also alert enough to start wondering if he was getting into the solution phase for the MS. "M!!! Are you listening at all? I said the sizzler colour is not good. Can't we change it?"

While one part of M's brain marveled at Q's complete detachment from the goings on in the kingdom, the other part hastened to answer her.

"Well VB selected it, so I am not sure if we can change it now," he said. "Besides, the paint had been bought, the banners for the launch are also ready, though the first sizzler movement is a while away."

Q sighed. "This is an important issue which I believe we need to discuss. But all VB does these days is mope about the MS. Mope. Mope. Mope. I am fed up!!!! Doesn't he realize, this is also an important issue which can have repercussions? There are so many beautiful colours. Peacock Blue, Burnt Orange, Moss Green, Brick Red, Sea Green, Ebony Black...all of which can sizzle, but instead we have baby pink!!!!!"

M had stopped listening at repercussions. Repercussions. What kind? Was that the link between pink and the MS? He could hear Q's voice going on in the background. He could hear a bee buzzing nearby. He could hear a tap dripping in Q's bathroom. But his mind was completely focused on what could be the co-relation between the Sizzler colour and the MS situation. He had a feeling that he was agonizingly close to the solution but just not there yet. He let Q drone on, paying some attention to what she said, since he felt she might just say something which would give him the answer.

Q was saying, "I always feel we should plan before for any possible action, but VB just doesn't think. Now if this sizzlers colour results in an issue in the future, VB will mope then. Why can't we work on it right away!!!?"

M stared at her. Issue...action...plan...possible...future. These words were doing a passionate rumba in his mind. What did he get with these words? How was it related to the MS? He agreed that it was good to plan for and de-risk and proposal for possible future issues, but what was the connection with the MS issue? In his mind, these words were all holdings hands and mocking him.

His head was aching. He felt hot and stuffy in the room. The red walls looked overpowering. He needed to get out. So he told Q that her thoughts were excellent and that he would try and convince VB. She was happy and he left. But he knew that he could not broach VB with the sizzler colour now...not when he was brooding and sulking about the MS.

On his way back home he saw a mom teach a little girl, "repeat after me, to kill two birds with one stone." A little ahead he saw a policeman catch a window cleaner trying to clean a little more than the windows. The police man arrested him and told him, "I've been trying to catch you for a long time now. Now I have caught you, and I will get into the good books of my boss. Plus, you can clean all the station windows. I love killing two birds with a stone." M's ears perked up. As he reached home, his liftman told him that some people had come to dig a well at his house, and he had go them to level out the garden as well. He was very happy having "killed two birds with a stone". M went into his house and switched on his TV, and there was the mean saas plotting. She was telling a meek looking man, that inviting the girl home would take her sons mind off his new wife, plus she would have an assistant to help her in her nefarious activities. She didn't need to say it. M said it for her, "this way she would kill two birds with one stone." However, let's just say that M's dialogue delivery left a lot to be desired.

He realized that his mind was majorly into symbolism. He was happy. Reading all those episode analysis posts about his favourite show, on a portal was paying off. All the posts were deeply into symbolism. Every action indicated some deep symbolic meaning, as did every non action. Every room and its furnishings, and colour of the walls, indicated some deep dark thought. The characters clothes and the colour indicated what would happen in the next ten episodes. The food they ate symbolized the mysterious past and its revelations. The pauses in their dialogues were pregnant with meaning. The hero's ectomorph body indicated the apathy of his wife, and the heroine's sunny smile indicated the deep hidden pain of a boyfriend who slapped her (all this was never shown in the show, by the way). But M became adept at symbolisms.

He examined all the data on hand. A) The colours of the sizzler and the MS were somehow connected. B) In future the sizzler colour may cause and issue and we need to plan for it. C) And something could be done which could kill two birds with one stone.

Now that he had the data neatly laid out, he began examining it in his mind.

He quickly realized that the two birds were the sizzler colour and the MS. Now what could be done to solve both of them? The answer, he knew, lay in point B.

So, in the future they could be a hue and cry over the sizzler colour. So? How was it connected to the MS? He changed track. If the second bird was the sizzler colour, then to solve it, all that was needed was to change the colour. How could it help the MS? He realized that the sizzler colour had not even been revealed. Only he, VB and Q knew it. The MS was right now. Even if it did have a connection, how did solving one solve the other, when one of the problems had not even arisen so far?

At that moment, he felt the lights grow brighter, and brighter in his room. His entire room seemed to be charged with symbolic vibes.

So...would having the problem right now help things? Would a bigger bloodbath at the moment lead to peace and quiet in the future? Would the sizzlers have a sizzling colour to admire?

The solution seemed simple, and sly. Leak out the sizzler colour. Let the people go crazy looking at the colour. Divert everyone's (and by everyone, of course he meant Mini) attention to this issue, and then when things were completely focused on the sizzler colour, oblige and change it. Everything gets resolved.

He was hugely impressed with his genius. But there was one small, teeny winy, minute problem. Mini was nowhere close to becoming a sizzler right now. He would revel in laughing at the sizzlers. Why would he join the fight for changing the colours?

M refused to believe that he could not solve for that. He had come up with a solution which was sheer genius (in his opinion). He had done what the Indo Pak Governments had not done, what the Palestinians and Israelis had not done...he had come up with a solution. He would not let small issues thwart his genius solution. He was determined to succeed, and on that noble thought went to sleep.

Only 1 chapter ka update, coz I am busy...

from now on a lot of the story will be a story only...since event such as these have not happened to inspire me😆
