Balika Vadhu.and its continuation

I write this as several fellow members...have mentioned that Ganga may die ...whether this is from knowledge or guesswork or just simple deduction I don't care as...I have the greatest respect for those who have said what is to happen in the future in past episodes.

Therefore I come to this serial which when it started was a great serial not good but great in my opinion. It has its moments of anger, sorrow, happiness, tragedy and comedy...Most actors played their parts well...Surekha was brilliant along with Avika.

Then came the Leap...and a change of actors as expected because of the age factor...we got used to the new actors...and even if there were divided opinions when Jagya left Anandi...to me there was a touch of reality in this drama serial...good or bad is not what I am questioning here.

The reality is that these things do happen when children grow up and discover their own wants and wishes...again how it was handled could be questioned but that is not a major issue with me as each one of us will see it differently.

How it ended leaves a lot to be desired...since members still feel that Gauri will come back.

Anandi finds happiness...and then an actor change again...I have nothing against changing of actors it happens all over the world in long running serials as long as the basic nature, characteristic, mannerism and intonation of the actor resembles to a large degree the one he or she is replacing. I make no comment on the actor as this is about the storyline.

Now I hear that Ganga is going to leave.

What the creatives should have done was to end it once Anandi was settled and Ganga moved into Jagya's house leaving it to the imagination of the viewers whether Ganga and Jagya would get together or not.

INSTEAD...screaming shouting Saanchi, Ira, Sumitra...issues upon issues..matters still unresolved...good characters changing again...

Shiv's character ruined for a while...Anandi back to preaching...now Adoption...Shiv's adoption...Wild man with flowing beard...Meenu (a character I really liked) looking morose...Alok as usual a nonentity for me...Ganga with more health problems...Ultimate sacrifice to have J's son...

What are they doing ...End this farce

If necessary start another BV with different characters, ...good actors...different scenario and different results...give it a break and I can guarantee if BV2 goes the way BV went in the initial stages it will draw viewers...Now what we are seeing is mindless, boring , unbelievable and not even exciting drama.

Yes by giving happy full stop to ansh and jagans lives they can go for bv2.

Thing is that Anandi's story did not end with her marriage to another man.Marriage was never her goal in life.She wanted to be an instrument which brought change into people's lives.

When she was a child while all the girls of her age or content to get married and be happy and excited at the sight of their wedding celebrations she wanted to be a teacher when she grew up.

I don't know whether she wanted to be a teacher or it is just that she wanted to be different.

They got her married and she ended up as a wife and bahu of a different family.

But is that what she wanted from life?

Anandi's journey has not reached her destination.

Coming to Jagya - Yes when he grew up he wanted a life that is different from the kind of life he was born into.He threw away all that to make a life for himself according to his own wishes and he got that but he was not happy with it.

So he was given a second chance to make his choices and make peace with the kind of life he was born into.So they made him juggle Ganga and Sanchi and finally he chose Ganga over Sanchi and made his family accept her and he is happy with his life.

In all this his struggle to put his past behind got side tracked.

Instead of showing Anandi's journey to freedom and Anandi flying with her husband being the wind beneath her wings we see so much drama involving her husband's family.Anandi's dream of having her own identity and freedom to do what she always wanted to do is yet to be fulfilled

Instead of Jagya making right choices and laying the past to rest we see unwanted scenarios like Ganga's complicated pregnancy.

The issue is that journey of Anandi and Jagya has not reached it's logical destination.They are so many side tracks and distractions.

Instead of showing all these they should just show focus on reaching their destinations and end it there.

May be start a new season with same characters and fresh goals for them to achieve.

Maybe what you say is right...BUT

Balika Vadhu started as a classic show It was one among the very few shows that touched the viewers hearts with its powerful story and theme The cvs touched the nuances of child marriage and its repercussions on children who are tied in marriage bond at that age when they don't even know what marriage is all about. Along with it they have dealt wjth many other social issues too but in my opinion from where cvs started to make blunders and show lost its essence was when they butchered Jagya's character and made him cheat Anandi . Here i must say they strayed from their main theme and went on to only create a Patni Pati and woh drama

i think they should have got ansh and jagan happily married and ended their tracks and serial right there...that would ahve been perfect endign as all the problems related to bal vivah happened with jaan would be over and even otherrural problems are solved...then start a new season of BV with different storyline and different characters (but i don't noew how and on what will they start new saeson of BV...they have covered almost every problem of rural areas except for inter-caste or inter-religion marriage)

Agree completely with mahi.there was no need to butcher jagyas character to show child marriage is wrong. What was that anandi crying buckets and singh's cursing their own son. Is it real? But jagya falling in love at right age that is early twenties is real. But not handled well. Why was anandi kept with singh's. She could have easily gone to her parents. Then jagya coming back and singh's throwing him out which no one does even for their worst enemies. Then sarural maika drama, sanchi drama, anandi and shivs unlimited mahanta drama, now this adoption drama. And Ganga's pregnancy drama. The way it was handled also unreal..but I guess desi tv is all full of it.l really don't get how these shows get High trps. And what is the need to run for so many years. Don't the writers also want to do something different.aren't they tired of their own story.how much will they draag and for what ?

although it had a great start and continued after the leap, recently they completely ruined it. i think they should start wraping up all the tracks and show a happy ending.
