Swaron - What may have been (A rant)

*Note - I am very much aware that what I am about to say may hurt or infuriate a lot of fans, but know this that isn't my intent in the least. I believe this forum is an open platform to express one's opinion and thats all i plan to do.

In all honesty, I fell in love with D3 because of Swaron. The very first clip of their's sucked me into this vortex of innocence, passion, love and hurt that i found impossible to zap out off. There was something about them that I find impossible to put into words. I strongly uphold a belief that chemistry is in the eye of the beholder, not everyone may sense it or be drawn to it. To say Sneha and Shantanu's chemistry was incredible would be describing it in the mildest sense. It was a black hole, that swallowed everything. Nothing could escape it. And thats why I fell in love with the show. The script wasn't always strong, the dialogues at times cheesy and crummy, but one look passed between these two in midst of the pehla nasha melody, was all it took to make the episode magical.
Following the trial confession story line, which I to date believe was when the show jumped the shark, I saw less and less of what once promised to be the most epic of all love stories. Sneha leaving the show was a blow to say the least. I knew the writers had to uptake the most difficult task to date, filling the shoes of not only a complex character but an actor of more than brilliant standards. Ofcourse there was then the question of whether Swaron would be restored to its former glory or not.
A few months later Vrushika was introduced. This tall, pretty and talented dancer tried her best to walk in the golden sandals, winning the hearts and love of many in the leveled journey. There was a brief moment where I too was captivated by her, but only now i realize that it was because my heart has settled. Settled for swaron 2.0 because my brain had subtly registered that the former was lost forever.
A week earlier I was watching earlier episodes of D3, with the original cast of Kriya, Sharon, Neha and Vishaka. And after watching the latest rendition of the swaron anthem dance, I felt an urge to watch the original. It was then that i had my epiphany. Whlie D3 is now way past it's golden era, it was the essence of Swaron(Tanha) that I missed most from the show. While Vrushika may have formed her very own niche in most hearts, the gaping hole of Sneha Kapoor is almost impossible to fill. I kid you not, inspite the fact that the earlier dance was a dream sequence and the latter was very much real, the former invoked in me so much joy that it brought me to tears. It was lost, that magic, that treasure.
I know it may confuse a lot of you, this delayed to response to Sneha's departure. It came as a surprise to me as well and I debated for a while whether to post this or not, but I finally realized why it was so. Sneha's departure from the show was timed with that phase when Swaron had begun to wither away. Plus a several months gap in between made the transition from Sneha to Vrushika slightly smoother. I only now realize that I had forgotten what Swaron had been like in its high, that perhaps if Sneha had stayed behind, things could have been different.
In my perhaps sole opinion, I believe Swayam and Sharon are no longer tethered as they were once. Maybe, its best if they go their separate ways. Perhaps a tragic or practical end, is what the story truly needs to redeem itself. (shield up to block the punches)
I understand that to many, this post may seem irrelevant, but like I stated initially, it's just me expressing an opinion.

Ps - This was not a hit attempt at Vrushika. Please don't consider it so. I appreciate the young lady, who has worked so hard in the past year. I don't support anyone who bullies any member of the cast.

Not a comparison, like i said more of a regret at Tanha's loss. This was one man's opinion and I respect yours as well.

Your opinion is your own, respect to that first of all. But I would like to state mine too, as briefly as possible. Your last line, had Sneha stayed behind, things could have been different. They most certainly would have been different. And please, before anyone decides to throw the physical-intimacy-hi-sab-kuch-nahin-hoti argument at me let me make it very clear that as a SwaRon fan VruShan have always offered me a lot more than what VruShan attackers seem to be so fixated with. I do not blame them though, there are limits to understanding when it is fettered with hatred. Anyhow, coming back to the point: I have so much respect and love for Sneha in my heart still, and I know a lot of people disagree with me for it, but having said that there are certain things I cannot and will not deny. She did cause Sharon to be compromised a great deal, and SwaRon to be compromised a great deal too. That, unfortunately, is fact. And when Sneha herself has said in so many of her interviews how she could not do justice to Sharon, I see no point in contradicting her. But what is for me the strongest testimony of all is that of the writers who have also said that they are now being able to explore Sharon in a way they were not able to do before. While I understand your inability to fill the gaping hole in your heart that Sneha's leaving may have created, from where I stand I saw Vrushika filling up a gaping hole in my understanding of SwaRon as well as Sharon. And here I'd also like to add that the complexity of the character has not once been compromised, for me. On the contrary I see Sharon as having gained more dimensions, if anything at all, with a greater freedom given to the writers to shape her without constraints to continuously struggle against. This is honestly why I find it very hard to understand whenever this statement is made, that SwaRon would have been different had Sneha still been there, because as fact would have it, that different would possibly have been a rather awful different, and SwaRon would have long been untethered by now.

That pretty much sums up my point of view. And this shall soon become a comparison post...or perhaps it already is one. 😳

REPORTED
You can state your opinion ..noone is stopping but saying stuff like "original swaron" it indirectly taunts vrushan wala swaron..
vrushika is also loved by many fans and kindly dont say things like swaron should end just because sneha isnt here -_-
that isnt fair

VRUSHIKA made us exploire all shades of sharon for me it will be always vrushika who made me fall in love with sharon and VRUSHAN will be the real SWARON for me.. 😊

Some fans really have to accept the fact that taha wala SwaRon had lost its charm long back in 2012 thanks to SK's refusal to do scenes. There is a good enuf reason as to why every time the show's creative has said again and again in 2013 in various ivs that only thanks to Vrushika they cud explore Sharon's character more and cud take SwaRon story forward. And SwaRon are at the end of the day their brainchild and they know it the best more than any fan.
For me VruShan showed all possible shades of SwaRon which TanHa never did. Be it romance,light-hearted scenes, sadness, aggression, passion, etc.Love VruShan and Vrushika.
P.S- As for something which brings tears to one viewer's eyes is pretty relative. For me 'o re piya' is the only dance wch cud bring tears to my eyes.

Every person to it's own, I can appreciate that. I do see your point. It's a fools dream that Swaron would have been different for the best had Sneha stuck around (obvious reasons), hence the use of "perhaps". But there was something, like a secret ingredient, at the very beginning of the show which was somehow lost in the process, even while Sneha was still around. Its the absence of that, which troubles me the most.

It's clearly a comparison post . You might mope the loss of sneha all you want but no need to say how much you feel she was superior to Vrushika's Sharon.

In my perhaps sole opinion, I believe Swayam and Sharon are no longer tethered as they were once. Maybe, its best if they go their separate ways. Perhaps a tragic or practical end, is what the story truly needs to redeem itself. (

^ Don't get the logic of this thing .😕 just koz you don't like this sharon so SwaRon should go apart .😕 Like seriously .😕 Anyway , VruShan wala SwaRon gave me loads of happiness , Vrushika's version of Sharon is much more layered that the previous one , for me . I couldn't understand the actions of the early one ,as she was complicated just for the sake of being complicated .
I would have respected your opinion more if you kept out vrushika outta this .

PS: You should let go of this SwaRon if it makes you so unsatisfied . No use of following their story this closely.😳
