Wow, what an experience! 👏I LOVED RAM LEELA! ❤️Felt so many emotions throughout the film, and even now I can't stop thinking about the scenes. It's an impactful film and stays with you even after it's finished. I really enjoyed it. SLB's version of R & J had everything- romance, comedy, drama, violence yet it still had the essence of the epic love story. 😃

The entire cast was BRILLIANT! Each and every character did so well, Ranveer and Deepika taking the cake for me. Both were fantastic in their roles. 👍🏼

Ranveer:

Deepika was right in saying that Ranveer is one of most versatile actors. He can play the fun-loving Delhi boy in BBB and also do a cheap yet charming, flamboyant and intense lover like Ram. 👏Ranbir can't do that. I hope this guy goes far, RL doing well at the boxoffice will benefit him the most. I loved his Guajarati accent, and he was fantastic in every scene be it comedic, romantic or dramatic. I honestly didn't think he was so good as Varun from Lootera (especially the first half), but he's perfect as Ram. We can expect some Best Actor nominations for sure! 😎

Deepika:

My flawless Leela! 😳❤️ I think this was Deepika's best performance. I thought she was fantastic, she looked SO beautiful and acted really well. Her dialogue delivery- which is her weak point- was perfect. Leela was a complex character and I think Deepika portrayed it really well. Feisty, and fun in the first half and then strong yet vulnerable in the second half. I loved her transition into the leader. I think and hope the Best Actress award is hers!

Supporting Cast:

Everyone in the supporting cast was great! Supriya Pathak was absolutely fabulous in her negative role, she was charming too. I hope it's a toss between her and Richa for Best Actress in a Supporting Role, I think her more than Richa. Richa was really good as the bhabi, she got some good dialogues. Sharad and Gulshan as Leela's brothers did well too. The guy who played Leela's fiance, Karsan was so comedic 😆, he did a fine job.

Music:

I enjoyed all the songs, and the background music was very good! Sigh, the placement of Laal Ishq! Priyanka was sensual and sexy in Ram Chahe Leela.

Chemistry :

I think Ranveer and Deepika had amazing chemistry- passionate, intense and electric. ❤️ I don't see the chemistry being so good with any other two actors playing Ram or Leela. They should sign another film together soon! Ugh but they both seem busy for atleast the next year or so. Still looking forward to their scenes in Finding Fanny! The kisses, damn! ☺️Ranveer wasn't lying when he kept going on about the kiss- it was damn hot and passionate! I usually cringe during kissing scenes in hindi movies but the kisses in Ram Leela were hottt. I must add that they were a bit lengthy and looked mighty comfortable. 😉

SPOILERS:

Some of my favourite scenes:

-When Ram and Leela see each other for the first time, love at first sight!

-The balcony scene was romantic and endearing

-The scene when Ranveer comes to meet Deepika after he kills her brother. Deepika was fantastic in that scene, so angry! I also thought the fight after that when they run off was acted out really well and it was cute how there was playful moments during their fighting

-Ang Laga De was ouuu la la! Nuff said 😉

-After Leela is brought back home, when Raseela bhabi is telling Leela how Ram betrayed her, the way Leela keeps saying all those corny, romantic riddles about Ram.

-When Baa cuts off Leela's finger. Then when Ram comes and sees Leela sleeping and Laal Ishq plays in the background- wow! 😭

-After Leela comes the leader, her scenes with Baa were touching, how she was caring for her mother.

-The truce meeting. Wow, both Ranveer and Deepika acted so well in that scene! Deepika said in interviews how that was her very first scene to be shot. *claps* She was so fierce! 👏

-The ending! We all knew it would end the way it did, R & J adaption! That kiss at the end was very emotional and passionate.❤️

Overall I'd say that Ram Leela was one of the best films I've seen in a long time and that made me feel a lot of emotions. I had high expectations from it and the film and the actors lived up to them. I'd rate it 4/5.

Congrats SLB, you're back in the game! It cements Deepika has numero uno and pushes Ranveer a level ahead, he's Ranbir's closest competitor from the young boys. 😃
