CHAPTER 6 :
Part 1: Stranger in The Shadows

The gruesomely, treacherous stranger sat hidden in the shadows of the dim lit room. He looked so placid and harmless, and he could have appeared to be quite handsome too, had his face not been contorted with savage wrath. He despised incompetence! Even if, it was his very own mistake which had put him into this very rigid plight.
His idle body shook with subdued anger.
"That two-faced b***h!!! How dare she double-cross me!! I will Kill HER!!!" he roared.
""But darling, I thought you were going to kill her anyway," said his newly acquired courtesan, willing to do his bidding at the drop of a hat.
"I would have given her an easy death before, but now!!!!...now I will torture her, make her beg for death! I will lay her at deaths door, and yet will trickle enough life into her that she would not be able to fully succumb to death's mercy! ...How dare she cause disruption in my handiwork?" he asked.
He hurled the vase at the TV with brutal force. The screen smashed to pieces and lay lifeless on its stand.
Temporarily satisfied with the promise that he would avenge the culprit in the most foul way, he stomped back to the wh**e as he shed his clothes off his muscular form. Ruthlessly, he captured her delicate neck in a vice-like grip, and slammed his lips onto her pliant ones, while at the same time he rammed his manhood into her. He wasn't going to be gentle on her. Why would he be? Afterall, he was going to kill her too, the woman had too much insight of his plans.
As he plunged into her body with deathly force, he couldn't help but remember the face of the woman with snow-white skin! The one who was on TV and had been accompanied by The Great & Aspiring Business Tycoon of India, Arnav Singh Raizada!!! With the baby cradled into the mother's loving embrace...
"MINE!!! She is MINE!! ONLY MINEE!!!" screamed his greedy thoughts as he simultaneously removed a dagger from under his mattress and stabbed repeatedly into the degraded woman's body as he released his seeds into her now dead womb.
He was much calmer now. Much in control...but underneath it all, there still remained that streak of terrifying hatred which had made its home in him the moment he had seen ASR place his bare hands on Khushi's back, guiding her back into the Raizada Mansion, away from the harsh onslaught of the photographers cameras.
Shyam was dead and he couldn't fix his mistakes at risk of spoiling his scheme! Damn, did he really have to kill Shyam this early?!! DAMN!!
Realising that he couldn't do much lamenting, he resorted to damage control. He would have to change his plans yet again, afterall, Shyam WAS dead to the world...damage control was his only companion now. But first, he has to get rid of the wh***s useless body...

In another room, ASR set crying over her loss. She touched her late husbands diary and tried to feel his presence. She missed him so...
Anjali Singh Raizada, formally known as Anjali Shyam Jha! Her life had taken quite a drastic turn in the span of these 15 months. Fifteen months earlier, she had been crying too. Only difference was, then she had been crying because she couldn't have a child of her own...and NOW she was crying again...Now she had a child, who wasn't even with her...and she had lost her husband too, while trying to get what nature had denied her!
If Only!!!...If only she had chosen to adopt a baby as her husband had advised her...then today she would have been the happiest woman alive...If Only...
She had wanted surrogacy simply cos she had known how much Shyam had wanted a child of his own. That is all he used to talk about when they had tied the knot. Initially they had resorted to family planning, and had chosen to have a baby 2 years after their marriage. But the irony of it all!!
When she wanted to become a mother, she found that her womb was weak. But knowing Shyam's innermost desires, she had forced everyone, even her Chotey, to give consent for surrogacy...
She opened Shyam's Diary, and resumed reading it from where she had left off...
Dear diary
Once again today, I had gone to meet Khushiji, and told her that I was willing to pay her double the amount we agreed to for the baby. But just my luck, she refused.
My Rani Sahiba's one wish that is half full-filled already. Now if only Khushiji will agree to give me my baby back. But Khushi is telling me to leave Rani Sahiba in exchange for the baby!!!
How can I do that? I love my wife and I am willing to do anything for her. Do you think I should agree to Khushiji's demand? Atleast that way, Rani Saiba will still get her baby...I wish I knew what to do...

Anjali closed the diary again. She couldn't read on... her husband had had been struggling with these demons, while she had been so carefree...She will never forgive herself for that...never...

In another room, which was tucked away into the remote wings of the house, Khushi was busy thinking.
Khushi (thinking): I can't let Mr Raizada put his life at stake just because the media people had linked my name to him...I had better do something to clear up this mess...YES!!! that would be the best thing to do...Marriage is not the solution to this problem...plus how much does Mr Raizada know about me? If he were to know that I had been raped once...and that since then I don't even like staying in the company of man...he would then definitely change his mind about me...afterall, who wants damaged material?...
She cried silently...all her dreams were shattered. Now she just had to make amends with what life had given her...She looked at Riya...afraid, that one day she will loose her too...
With a gasp she sat up! Payal!!! Payal had told her to deposit money in her account today, if she didn't, then Payal and Garima Ma will lodge a false complain in the police station, stating that Khushi was abusing the baby...
Khushi stood up...she had to do something...anything...but what???... She didn't have any jewellery to pound, she didn't have any money left due to job loss...
And then one idea crept into Khushi's mind...it brought tears to her eyes...but she had no other choice...with that thought, she trudged with heavy footsteps towards Arnav's room...

This is it guys... hope you all enjoy reading it...I had to put this update...because all this incident is happening while ASR is in his flashback mode. That's why I didn't continue flashback in this chapter...The flashback will continue from next update...
