Sharon: 1 sundowner and 1 Sunny fizz please

Bartender: Sure ma'am!

Sharon (to Kriya): Kriya aren't you bored having the same sunny fizz ALL the time!!! Its high time your experiment!

Kriya: Oh please! You know I'm very particular about my taste! Not like you trying some weird drink all the time!!

Sharon: Hey bhagwan aisi boring behen mere hi gale bandhni thi na!!!

Kriya: You have no choice!!

Sharon: Whatever!!!

Sharon and Kriya were in one of the most happening clubs of Mumbai.. Both dressed at their best trying to loosen themselves.. In the same club maybe at the other end were 2 guys looking stunningly hot.. Girls were literally drooling over them.. One getting dead drunk and the other trying to control him.. Yes they were Swayam an Rey.. Rey was trying to stop his friend but aaj tak ussne kisi ki suni hai jo aaj sunega?!

Rey: Swayam kya kar raha hai? Abhi hume aake sirf 1 ghanta hua hai and you are already on your 4^th drink.. Araam se jaa!!!

Swayam: Come on yaar dude! Loosen yourself! Itna sochega toh kabhi life enjoy nahi kar paayega.. Actually chal kuch karte hai.. Ruk main aata hu!!

Rey (trying to stop him): Aare Swayam sunn toh!!

But Swayam was in no mood to listen.. He rushed to the DJ and murmured something in his ear.. The DJ smiled and nodded positively..

DJ: Hey you lovely people in the house, listen up!! We have this newly turned bachelor in the house celebrating his Freedom.. Here a song from him to all the Bachelor's!!! Wooohooo!!!

Sharon: Newly turned bachelor??.. Hmmm.. How is that possible?

The lights were as it is dim but now there was this one focus light in front of which was a tall lean guys standing..

Swayam: Guys always cherish your bachelorhood.. Akele rehne main jo khushi hai woh aur kisi cheez main nahi.. I was lucky enough to get a chance to be single all over again but doston aisa moka sirf naseeb walo ko milta hai.. I guess I was one of them!!

Sharon went numb as soon as she heard his voice.. At the same time she was hurt listening to what he said.. She just didn't know if she should be happy with the fact that atlast she let him free or should she cry thinking that he felt he was caged because both of them were married..

[As the music started Swayam turned and walked toward the crowd.. He went up to different girls and was flirting around with a few of them (imagine Swayam enacting each line in the song)]

[Swayam went to the table where he was seated before and started gulping down the drinks he saw there.. Rey tried to stop him but in response Swayam started dancing holding Rey's hand.. He stood next to Rey and started dancing]

Lautu naa lautu ghar pe [He left Rey there and jumped into the crowd]

As the song ended the DJ continued playing peppy numbers and Swayam continued enjoying dancing with the huge crowd around him..

Sharon was still standing near the bar and was looking at Swayam dancing with random girls.. Singing his heart and enjoying himself to the core..

Sharon: Kriya, can we please leave? I'm tired.. I want to go home..

Kriya herself was shocked looking at Swayam in same club.. She didn't object and started moving out followed by Sharon.. As soon as they reached out Kriya called up Rey making sure that Sharon was nowhere around..

Kriya: Hello Rey!

Rey (shouting): Haan Kriya! Ek minute hold karo I can't hear you.. (walking to a corner) Haan Kriya? Kya hua? Sharon theek hai na?

Kriya: Rey aap mujhe bata nahi sakte the ke aap iss club main aa rahe hai Swayam ke saath!

Rey (confused): Kyun kya hua?

Kriya: Main aur Shar bhi yahin hai.. Aur Sharon ne Swayam ka woh so called celebration dekh liya..

Rey: SHIT!! But Kriya please tum toh Swayam ko misunderstand mat karo..

Kriya: Please Rey! Accha main abhi Shar ko ghar drop kar rahi hu aur shayad aaj raat ke liye main bhi wahin ruk jau..

Rey: Ok tum Sharon ke saath raho.. Main subh Swayam ke ghar se aate aate tumhe pick kar lunga..

Kriya: Ok.. Bye!

Rey: Bye!

Kriya moved to the car and drove Sharon home.. Here Rey moved into the crowd and pulled Swayam along with him.. He moved out pulling Swayam along.. Swayam was trying to free himself but Rey seemed really pissed off.. As they reached their car Rey left Swayam and looked at him completely angry..

Swayam: Rey what's wrong? Tu mujhe iss tarah bahar kyun leke aaya?

Rey (almost shouting): What the hell is wrong with you? Andar woh sab kya tha?

Swayam: Kya? I was just enjoying!

Rey: Yeah right! Enjoying!! Aur tera yeh so called bachelor-hood enjoyment Sharon ne dekh liya and do you realise how hurt she must be?!

Swayam (normally): Sharon thi kya? Maine toh usse nahi dekha.. Aur dekh liya toh big deal!! Hum dono ka divorce ho gaya hai aur ab humare raaste alag hai we have to move on in life.. Usse abhi bura lagega but she'll be fine soon.. But yaar usse bura nahi lage yeh soch kar why should I stop enjoying my life?!

Rey (shocked): Yeh tu bol raha hai?! Out of all the people.. You!! Jo Sharon ki aankhon main ek aasu nahi dekh sakta tha! Jo Sharon ke liye kisi bhi hadd tak jaane ko tayaar tha.. Woh aaj mujhe bol raha hai ke usko bura na lage yeh soch kar khud ki life enjoy karna nahi chod sakta'.. Kise bewakuf bana raha hai Swayam? Mujhe ya apne aap ko!! Abbey saale agar tujhe jhoot nahi bola aata na toh koshish bhi mat kiya kar.. Tujhe kya lagta hai itna peeke, ya Sharon ko dekhke andekha kar ke tu life enjoy kar raha hai.. Bachpan se jaanta hu tujhe.. Teri yeh jo aankhen hai na mujhse kuch chupa nahi paati.. Dikh raha hai tu kitna enjoy kar raha hai..

Swayam (turning to the other side): Tu.. Tu yeh kya bakwas kar raha hai.. Aisa kuch nahi hai.. Main Sharon se pyaar.. Nahi karta!!

Rey (smiling): Maine yeh kab kahan ke tu Sharon se pyaar nahi karta? (turning him) Tadap raha hai.. Sharon ko dekhne ke liye.. Usse baat karne ke liye.. Nahi reh pa raha hai tu uske bina.. Phir yeh divorce aur yeh sab natak kyun?

Swayam (looking elsewhere): Main thak gaya hu.. Ghar chal!

Rey wasn't understanding why was his best friend causing so much pain to himself and also hurting Sharon at the same time.. He knew Swayam was facing double the pain Sharon was facing.. The thought that he was hurting Sharon was bruising his already wounded heart.. Rey could see it but couldn't understand why.. He tried asking Swayam but he would always ignore that topic.. There was something major but he was just clueless about it.. Swayam sat in the car and Rey having no other choice followed him and they drove back home..

Here Sharon was sitting in her room by the window and endlessly looking at the empty street in front of her house.. She was busy in her own thoughts when she felt Kriya sitting right opposite her.. Kriya smiled at her and Sharon tried her best to return the same.. Sharon again diverted her attention to the street..

Sharon (softly): Dida ek baat puchu!

Kriya: Haan puch na..

Sharon: Kya mere saath rehna.. Mujhse pyaar karna itna difficult hai?.. Ya mere saath rehna feels like a trap?

Kriya: Choti yeh tu kya pagalo jaisi baat kar rahi hai?

Sharon (looking at Kriya with her eyes filled with tear): Phir kyun itna asaan tha Swayam ke liye mujhe chodna? Kyun asaan tha uske liye move on karna?

Kriya (hugging her): Pagal hai kya choti!

Sharon (weeping): Kyun dida? Kyun mujhe itna dard ho raha hai? Jab maine yeh decision le liye hai toh kyun itna difficult hai isse nibhana? Kyun main Swayam ko bhula nahi pa rahi? Aaj usse khush dekh ke mujhe khush hona chahiye na phir kyun mujhe itni ghutan ho rahi hai yeh sochkar ke woh mere bina khush hai? Kyun main usse itna pyaar karti hu? Kyun main uske bina jee nahi pa rahi? Kyun dida? Kyun?

Sharon kept crying and Kriya kept soothing her back.. Kriya was trying to calm Sharon but she also knew that she can't do anything or say anything to ease her pain.. She let her cry as much as she want otherwise this pain would start eating her up from inside..

Swayam entered his room locking it behind.. Rey left him alone and walked to the guest room thinking about both his friends.. Swayam got seated on his reading chair with the reading lamp focused on his face.. he closed his eyes letting himself drift into the past..

FLASHBACK

Sharon was busy working on one of her upcoming event.. While instructing one of the workmen her phone suddenly started buzzing.. She picked up the phone without looking at the caller-id

Sharon (to workmen): Aare bhaiya udhar nahi dusri taraf lagana.. (on phone) Hello, yes?

Swayam: Hey baby, busy ho?

Sharon (smiling): Tumhare liye!! Kabhi nahi!.. Kya hua kuch kaam tha?

Swayam: Haan woh actually aaj raat mujhe aane main late ho jayega.. so don't wait for me..

Sharon (jokingly): Hmmm girlfriend ke saath date?!

Swayam: Ha ha ha! Ji aapse nazar haate toh dusri ladkiyon pe nazar jaaye na!!.. On a serious note kuch important client aa rahe hai toh meeting shayad der tak chalegi..

Sharon: Ok no problem.. But don't make it too late! Waise bhi 3-4 dino se you are sleeping quiet late.. Aisa hi chalta raha toh you'll fall sick..

Swayam: Yes Biwiji! Aapka humkum sarankho par..Aur kuch?

Sharon: Haan, had your lunch?

Swayam: Nahi abhi khaunga..

Sharon (sternly): Swayam!!!

Swayam: I know late ho gaya hai but busy tha.. Don't worry khaa lunga!

Sharon: Ok! Khaa lena! Chalo I got to go, agar inn aalsi (lazy) logon pe se jyada der nazar hatayi na toh mera event kabhi ime pe hog a hi nahi.. Bye!

Swayam: ha ha ha.. ok..Bye.. Love you!

Sharon: Love you..

Both hung up.. As per orders Swayam got on with his lunch soon and rushed to his meetings that were lined up.. Sharon was also busy with her work.. By evening Sharon was done so she came home.. Freshened-up.. Changed into a pair of shorts and a tee.. Made a cup of coffee for herself and sat on the sofa switching through channel's.. She watched a bit of television.. Caught-up with her emails as she was not in the office throughout the day.. Spoke to Kriya for a while.. Cooked dinner for the night and lay the table for two.. She sat on the bed with her laptop open and was busy working..

It was around 11:30pm when she heard the door open.. She kept her laptop aside and walked to the hallway.. She saw her hubby removing his tie and throw it with the briefcase on the sofa and he himself landed next to it resting his head backward and eyes closed.. Sharon stood behind him and placed a deep peck on his forehead and massaged his hair a bit..

Swayam (eyes closed): Hey love!

Sharon (massaging his hair): Hey! Tired?

Swayam: Hmm..

Sharon: Jao fresh ho jao.. Main khaana lagati hu..

Just as Sharon started moving Swayam caught hold of her wrist.. She looked back with questioning eyes..

Swayam: Khaana nahi khaaya na.. Shar I told you mujhe late ho jayega.. Why didn't you eat then?

Sharon: Meri marrzi.. Now go wash-up and come..

Swayam rushed to their bedroom.. had a quick shower and changed into his boxers and his towel around his neck.. He rushed to the dining table as he didn't want to keep his dear wife hungry for a long time.. By the time he came Sharon had already laid the table and the food was steaming hot.. She came with another bowl of hot steaming rice and placed it on the table with rest of the dishes.. Both sat and had their dinner discussing their day.. Breakfast and dinner were the only times they would have a proper talk as both were busy individuals.. As their entire week would pass working they made it a point to dedicate their entire weekends to one another.. They did nothing fancy but spent some quality time like two love birds madly in love with one another..

After the dinner Swayam was in the room going through some files while sitting on the bed.. Sharon entered after cleaning up the kitchen and making sure everything was ready for the morning.. She sat on her side of the bed and started reading her unfinished novel.. After a few minutes she felt some weight on her lap.. She looked down to find Swayam laying down with his eyes closed.. She kept her novel aside and started massaging his head.. He took her other hand, kissed the back of it and kept it next to his heart.. She smiled at his gesture..

Sharon (softly): Kya hua baby?

Swayam (eyes closed): Thak gaya hu!

Sharon: Workload bahut jyada hai?

Swayam: Hmm.. I'm sorry..

Sharon (confused): Kis liye?

Swayam (slowly opens his eyes): Main jaanta hu from the past 1 week main tumhe time nahi de paaya.. Aur 3-4 dino se ghar late bhi aa raha hu..

Sharon: Baby! Work comes first! Aur main kahan bhaag ke jaa rahi hu.. I'm here only.. Tumhare saath.. Don't worry itni jaldi mujhse peecha nahi chootne wala..

Swayam (romantically): Aapse kisse picha chudana hai!!

He rose up and placed a deep, loving and long peck on her lip.. Unable to control himself the peck soon turned into a passionate kiss.. Sharon wasn't late in responding.. Their lips moulded together perfectly.. No soon they were out of breath and parted away.. Got into the quilt.. Embraced each other.. And slept..

Their conversation was continuously echoing in his head.. He slowly opened his eyes and the tears that were trapped between his lashes escaped and ran down like a small stream on his cheek.. His hand automatically travelled to his face and he wiped the tears with the tip of his finger and looked at it.. He smiled as if laughing at his faith.. He saw her photo on the side table and placed it flat on his palm tracing his fingers on the on her image..

Swayam: Ek woh din tha jab humne 3-4 din ek dusre ko time nahi diya ho toh khaali khaali sa lagta tha.. Aur ek aaj ka din hai.. Hume alag rehke 6 mahine ho gaye aur humara divorce hoke kuch ghante.. Aisi zindagi ko kya kahenge Sharon?.. Khokli??..Pehle jab office main kaam karta toh ghar aane ki jaldi hoti.. Kyunki pata tha ki tum ho, mera intezaar kar rahi ho.. Par ab yeh khaali makaan mujhe kaatne ko daudta hai.. Kiske liye wapas aau? Kaun hai mera intezaar karne ke liye? Kyun aau yahan? But I just come here for the nights because this is the only place where I feel you close to me.. Where I can talk to you.. cry out my heart to you.. You know people say I'm the youngest business tycoon in India.. I have lots of money stocked up and I'm amongst the richest.. But woh kahan jaante hai that I must be having the money but I don't have You.. I myself pushed you away from me.. I myself left you mid-way.. I'm a bloody Loser.. A loser who doesn't deserve your love.. I'm sorry for hurting you so much baby.. The hurt I saw in those eyes when I was dancing with random girls is killing me.. Seeing you in pain just increases the intensity of my pain.. But I'm ready to take it.. But you.. You have to move on Sharon.. Tumhe mujhe bhoolna padega.. By now his face was completely covered with the salty water.. He was still creasing her photo.. He rested his head backwards and held the frame close to his heart.. Tears were still running down from the corner of his eyes but soon sleep took over and he slipped into a deep slumber..
