"On this special day of mine,
I miss my own beautiful smile.
On this special day of mine,
I wish if you could come and make me smile.."
PaYa TS: Miss you!
The cool breeze touched my face making my hair fly and sending a feeling of care all over me. The sun shone with all it's strength making each and every bit of the town glitter. The morning was crisp and golden as an apple and refreshing for all the sad hearts. The dry leaves flew with the wind slightly touching the pedestrians legs; it was a lovely and sunny day.
I walked along the roadside, the only voice I could hear was of my own footsteps, which made me feel much better than usual. The silence was so beautiful that I felt that there won't be anything in the world better than this. It gave me a feeling of sitting in the quietest of all the libraries.
I walked slowly trying to enjoy the cool breeze and the bright sun rays, the beautiful weather and the cloudy sky. This walk, I decided to take was making me feel pleasant and calm but nevertheless it made me feel the pain from which I was trying to escape for an year.
I saw a bench ahead and sat down, trying my level best to keep my mind free of all the thoughts, but it was difficult than the way it sounded. The painful moments of life erased slowly when I breathed hard and deep.
There was a time, when today was the day I most looked forward to, wished it came fast and never ended but now, it's different: it's totally different. Today was my birthday, it's been 19 long years since I first breathed on earth.

"Happy Birthday Butterfly!" I woke up rubbing my eyes, hearing the most sweetest happy birthday wish from my dad. As I entered into total consciousness, I saw my dear dad and mom staring at me qith a beautiful smile on each of their faces.
Behind both of them I saw a little boy holding a handmade red rose not perfectly made but beautiful. I gave Dad and Mom a side hug and when both of them left giving some space for us, he passionately gave the rose to me and said in one of his cutest voice ever "Happy Birthday Pankhuri."
I happily accepted it and thanked him. My lips automatically turned into a smile and he smiled back. "Did you like my gift?" he asked with expectant eyes, I nodded my head positively and uttered, "I am glad you made this for me Adi." His eyes glittered on hearing the words as if it was the best words he had ever heard.

The beautiful relationship I shared with Adi strengthened day by day. We were always 'The Made for Each other Couple'. Our Dad and Mom always described our relationship like that. I still remember when both of them used to plan our marriage even when we were ten years old.
Now most of you must be wondering, why 'Our' Dad and Mom not just mine or his? Well, it's simple because both of us are the adopted children of Harish and Avantika Kumar, a couple who were told they can never become parents.
They have never seen us as adopted children: they always loved us as son and daughter. But we never shared a sister-brother relationship, at first we were BFFs, then BF-GF and finally Die-Hard Lovers.
Our life consisted of many beautiful memories. Just like all other people, childhood was the most beautiful time of our life too, it went away only after leaving a bag of unforgettable memories to cherish forever and beyond..

"Will you come with me or not?" , I asked Adi losing my patience.
"Of course not! How can we just bunk a class?"
We both were standing behind our tuition building, I was persuading him to come with me. I was so awfully bored that I felt like bunking my class and going out, with him, but he was never to agree. To be really honest, he was a good boy compared to me. I always loved bunking classes!
"Okay, then do whatever you want! I am going!!"
I left quite sure that he is going to come after me. I went to the back gate of the compound and waited for him, but time went by.. I finally started peeking over the walls, if someone would have seen me from inside, they would have surely thought that my head was cut down and placed on the fence.
It was time for the school to finish and a whole lot of noise was there. Small children rushed out through the gate some alone, some with friends and some with parents. Still Adi was missing, I was losing my patience.
I kept on taking a sneak peek of the school from the fence but he was never found anywhere. When I was looking above the fence, I felt someone tapping my shoulder. I said disturbed without turning back, "Do not Disturb." But the person kept on tapping and I saw Adi behind me when I turned back. The frustration on my face suddenly tuned into anger. I walked away without minding him. "Pankhuri, wait!" I didn't mind. "Pankhuri stop!" He said again but I pretended I didn't hear.
"Hey yaar! Gussa hain?" He asked stopping by. "Haan Bahut Gussa hain", I said angrily and started walking fastly.
"I am sorry! I didn't mean to leave you alone. I thought you will follow me to class but you didn't. I am really sorry!" He said very sincerely but I didn't mind.
There was no voice from him for a long time and then when I turned back, I saw that he was doing sit-ups. The girls from our class were giggling at us, I suddenly went and made him stop it. "I am sorry." He said again.
"It's okay" I pretended to smile and walked away. He followed me. "Did you forgive me?" He asked pouting. I nodded and then talked as sweetly as I can."Promise me that you will never leave me alone like this."
"I promise Pankhuri. I will be there for you always and will never leave you."

These moments were what gave me the strength to live even when I realized that my life has no meaning any more.
