Krrish 3 Highest Grosser Of Bollywood; Beats Chennai Express' Lifetime Record

Hrithik Roshan's Krrish 3 has broken the lifetime record of Shah Rukh Khan's Chennai Express after adding its 3rd Friday collections at the Domestic Box Office. The movie that made a business of 225.85 crores in 2 weeks, added more 2.40 crores in its kitty, taking its domestic total to 228.25 crores at the Box Office. Yes, the collections dropped heavily on 15th Day, due to the new release Ramleela.

Nevertheless, this Rakesh Roshan directorial now stands as Bollywood's Highest Grosser, a record which SRK-Deepika Padukone starrer had made quite recently, with a total domestic lifetime collections of 226.70 crores.

Krrish 3 sustained on 3rd Friday, despite facing a screen crunch with Goliyon Ki Ras Leela - Ramleela and Rajjo. The movie performed well in multiplexes, while single screen audience preferred going to the Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh starrer.

Krrish 3 will touch 235-240 crores nett lifetime!

Hrithik Roshan is the new box-office king; beats Chennai Express' total box-office record

228 crore and counting!!! That's the new box-office record scripted by Hrithik Roshan's Krrish 3. With this Krrish has managed to overhaul Chennai Express' previously held record of 226 crore. The other mind-boggling fact is that Krrish has beaten Chennai Express not just in numbers but also in terms of the time taken to reach there. While Chennai Express took almost a month, Krrish crossed the 200 crore mark in a span of 15 days which is highly commendable.

Trade analyst Amod Mehra too concurred that Krrish 3 has now taken an unassailable lead over Chennai Express. "It's a fact that Krrish 3 has beaten Chennai Express at the box-office."

With this new record, the unbeatable father-son duo of Rakesh and Hrithik Roshan has once again established their supremacy at the box-office. Also helping their cause this time was the long Diwali holiday week which also didn't see any good releases to challenge the supremacy of Krrish 3. Satya 2 which released on 8 November proved to be a super dud which meant audience had only Krrish 3 to look forward to. But with Ram-Leela releasing now, Krrish 3could see a slow down. Says Amod Mehra, "Ram-Leela's release will slow down things and I expect the film to collect 20 to 25 crore more. Overall, I feel it will make 250 crore."

The question now is who will break Krrish 3's record. With a host of big movies lined up, the game is sure to get even more exciting with every release. As for now, let's roll out the red carpet and hail the new king of box-office - Krrish aka Hrithik Roshan.

so bad it took only 15 days to break CE record... i thought it wud take some more days..🤣 neetu, its good it did the task b4 Ramleela took over..

it will stay for a week more in the theatres neetu..🥳

Hrithik Roshan's Krrish 3 is now the highest grosser of all time ahead of Shahrukh Khan's Chennai Express. The film has collected 228.34 crore in 15 days (including all versions) at the box office, beating the previous record of Rs 227.1 crore set during Eid earlier this year.

The Hrithik Roshan starrer is still going steady in Week 3, but business at multiplexes was severely hit by the outstanding start that Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Ram Leela has taken. It remains to be seen if the Hindi version of Krrish 3, which has collected around 215.5 crore, can go past the lifetime business of Chennai Express.
