Today's episode was simply beautiful!!!
The look of utter shock on Devu's face when he saw Kaju standing outside his car was too good! 😆 Ek pal to mujhe laga usse vahi pe heart attack ho jaayega! And then when he tried to drive away, our Kaju goes and stands infront of the car (so smart)!!! So, Devu has no choice but to get out of the car and Run for it!! Hehe! Usse koi aur jaga nahi mili toh ek construction site pe le gaya Kaju ko! It was brilliant the way she was running after him, and knew just what to say to make him stop dead in his tracks! He was running away completely angry with the situation and all of the sudden, when he hears the truth from Kaju's mouth, he comes to an abrupt halt, and his facial features completely soften! Us ek pal mein saara gussa chala gaya - as if he knew he couldn't run anymore! And Oh Kaju was just amazing!! He acted as if he had no idea what she was talking about, and she said "band karo ye natak, band karo ye khel jo sabse zyaada takleef tumhe deta hai" That was too good!!!
And as usual, Devu turns on his angry juvenille switch again! But if he was trying to be a sher, his sherni outdid him completely today!!! He was trying soo hard to escape her and she wasn't backing down at all!! Hehe! And their back and forth "tum mujhse pyaar karte ho"/"Mein tumse pyaar nahin karta" was sooo cute! I am sooo happy with Kaju today! Boy when the tubelight goes off, it really goes off! She told Devu that she was aware of everything - everything he was trying to do- she told him she knew that he was trying to make her hate him!!!! That was just too good! 👏 Hehe! And Devu was sooo upset, that he again tried telling her that he was just trying to have some fun! 😆 Aaww, my cute sa, stupid sa Devu! How his plan backfired (again!)!!! And when Kaju said "jabse mujhe dekha hai, bas ye hi ek khayal aya meri liye"....I think that was the beginning of Devu's pighalna today....her words were like a dagger to him...and again, in his Dev/Armaan/Apu way, he shuts his eyes in pain! 😭 That scene was just heartbreaking!!!
And then, comes the 2nd best scene of the day! She completely SHOCKED him DEAD when she said "abh bhi kuch nahin badla Dev...aj mein yahan tumhare saamne khadi hoon"...he was sooo baffled! He couldn't believe his ears! (Apu's facial expressions here were just AWSOME!) And then our sherni proceeds to seduce her sheru (who quickly becomes a kitten!!!)! 😆 Our sher turned billi tries to run, and Kaju barfi grabs hold of his arm (just as he had done to her once before), pulls him towards her, and proceeds to wrap his arm around her waist!😳 Hehe! She was brilliant! I was cheering her on as if they were in a wrestling match (which...they kind of were...)!! Our Sherni tried to Seduce her Sheru!!!! This was her test...a test that Devu failed miserably! The thapad was too good!! Never imagined Kaju would be getting a thapad from Devu, but she asked for it (literally)!
The look on his face after he slapped her was amazing...as if he was pleading for her forgiveness with his eyes...and then the pain in which Devu looked at his hand in disbelief afterwards was brilliantly portrayed by Apu! He was so shocked with himself, and so upset that he actually slapped her, that, at last, he finally came out with the truth! To make up for the slap, he told her the words she's been waiting so long to hear...the words he promised himself he would never and could never allow to cross his lips....and those words, sent Kaju straight to heaven....she sighed in releif as if she had just won the hardest battle of her life...both Apu and Surveen were brilliant here....it was so simply done...."vo thapad cheek cheek ke kehta hai ke..." - "main tumse pyaar karta hoon" ....he knew he couldn't hide it from her any longer...he forfeited, and in doing so, gave her the world.
The next dialouge between DK was so beautiful...Dev's words brought not only Kaju to tears, but me as well...."mein tumse pyaar karta hoon...aur tumhare saath apni poori zindagi guzaarna chahta tha...tumhari muskurahat mein meri zindagi bhar ki khushi basti thi...aur tumhari hasi mein meri zindagi...aankhen bandh karta ho to sirf tum dikhai deti ho...aur zaban pe sirf tumhara naam rehta hai...kyouki mein tumse pyaar kart...." 😭 It was simply beautiful....and the pain and emotion that was on Devu's face and in his voice when he was saying all of this....only Apurva could have pulled it off so beautifully....so simply, yet with so much emotion...
And Kaju, still in utter disbeleif, returns his words....and ever so softly, says "I love you, Dev" as she looks into his eyes, with utter desperation....it was wonderfully done by Surveen.
Devu then slowly, ever so gently, wiped her tears...and says very matter of factly "magar is janam mein hum ek dusre ke nahin ho sakte Kaajjal"....and just like that, again in pain, he shuts his eyes, turns away from her, and tells her to leave! The pain in Dev's voice and eyes was unbearable....esp. right before he says "ab mere pas zyaada waqt nahi hai"....
And of course, Kaju says she doesn't care and will live her whole life in whatever time they have left...but the best part about this, was that she actually takes his face in her hands (she's never touched him like this before, you see 😳) and looks into his eyes, and tries to make him understand...
And again, Devu tries to get her to marry Dhruv 😡 - Little did he know that his saying this would hurt Kaju so much that it would make her more determined! Again, she responds with so much love, ke Devu apne aap ko kaboo mein he nahin rakh sakta....Thought Kaju's dialouge here was wonderful - "dhruv bhale hi mujhe khush rakhe, lekin kush rakhne mein aur rehne mein bahut fark hota hai....aur meri duniya bhi tum ho aur khushiya bhi" And then she proceeds to tell him that he can't force her to marry dhruv 👏 I AM SOO PROUD OF OUR KAJU TODAY!!!
And then the whole truth comes out..."sawal mere maut ki nahin hai Kaajjal, sawal tumhari maut ki hai..." and our Sheru comes out and tells her everything himself! (THANK YOU DEVU!!!) The pain and concern in his voice when he says "meri mahadasha mujhse hat ke tumpe aajaayegi" was so sweet! And our Sherni then proves what she had said to him before ("mein tumse bahut pyaar karti hoon...khud se bhi zyaada")...she's ready to give her life up for him...(Devu's expression of utter pain and concern is too good!)..."to kya hua agar mein marjaaungi?....agar mar kar mein tumhari zindagi tumhe lauta saku, to ye to meri khush naseebi hogi Dev...aur agar yehi sach hai....(again hand to face😳)...to mein ye sach ko bhi gale lagaoungi...meri zindagi ki kimat, tumhare liye mere pyaar se bahut kam hai..."
And then Dev applies to Kasam theory! 😡 Idiot! Lekin Kaju's reaction was just wonderful!!! She snaches her hand from his, moves away, and refuses! (again, surveen was wonderful here) The way she pleads with him was as if he was forcing her to go tell her dad that she failed a test! It was so cute and sweet! (I really thought that when she said "ye mujhse nahin hoga", that she would hug him tight and cry in his arms....😭 I was waiting sooo patiently but eagerly to see that!)
And then that Idiot drags her to the sagaii!!!! Poor Devu doesn't realize that everything he is doing is going against Gannu Bhaiya's wishes....of course Gannu Bhaiya will never let his plan work out!!!
Ok, other non-DK related thoughts for today:
1) Wanted to KILL that idiotic warewolf for the way he was looking at my DK today! Are idiot - agar Dev Kaju ko le kar na aaya hota, to Kaju kabhi mangni pe aati hi nahi! Can't wait til tomorrow when Kaju leaves him standing and runs after her Devu!
2) Atleast idiot warewolf ko NT mom ko dekhne pe kuch to sharam aayi! I am soo glad that he found it in himself to be atleast a little ashamed when he saw NT mom!
3) Hated all the wasted air time with Bua/Satya/Dadi/Dhruv worrying about Kaju not coming on time
4) LOVE Nandini bhabhi for being so cute! And Karu and Panna Chachi too!
5) I'll be SO happy to see Dhruv go Bye Bye soooooon!!! (Wish he would take Ameesha with him!)
6) And last, but not least, and forgive me for typing this in all caps, but I am SO excited about it....KAJU CALLED DEVU "TUM" DURING THE ENTIRE EPISODE TODAY!!!!!!!!! 👏
Kaajjal was everything I had imagined her to be...courageous, stubborn, and unrelenting. SO SMART!! And she used Dev's own game on him!! That was just brilliant! Hats off to her today - she really fought for her love and in the end, I'd say she won.
How utterly beautiful it was when Devu finally said "main tumse pyaar karta hoon"....the whole sequence was just perfect...very simble, subtle...and had such a big impact...
As I said earlier, I am in heaven....utterly content, and in awe of this show, and the entire team!
Ok, that was more of a mahabharat than I had anticipated it would be...sorry it was so long, I guess I was making up for lost time! 😉
