Shiv could have convinced anandi to first try for a biological child while still caring for the orphans.

It is matter of particular child that Anandi wants to adopt. They can't put the child on hold while they get one of their own.

If anandi would have said no to her biological kids with shiv then for sure shiv might have second thoughts about adoption. Ansh deciding to adoption is just the first stage...they will keep more on this when their family does not like the idea.

I am also a bit confused about both issues.
A working mother is quite capable of bringing up a child who is well disciplined...Ganga is not going away she is only going to work. It is conceivable that if she finds Mannu is being spoilt or not being disciplined she could step in with her requests...I don't think either DS or Sumitra will complain...
I think it is a matter of who you are that determines your child's character...non-working mothers have at times brought up badly behaved children too.
I think BV is trying to show that girls or women from the smaller cities are being empowered and making a choice for themselves...can't find fault with that.
As for Anandi and Shiv...there is nothing to stop them from having their own child...how does it matter whether it is the first or second...here again I think the CV's are sending a message about adoption...which in an over populated country like ours is not a bad message.
Many couples are choosing to adopt rather than have their own...it is really a matter of personal choice...you and I might have other views on this but I think when it comes to choice...it is so subjective that it is difficult for me to sit judgement on it.
