😆 😆 So true. I remember writing posts on here at the time being like, "How have these two manage to have TWO unplanned pregnancies over the course of their relationship when they're both DOCTORS!?" 😆

With regards to Shiv, I agree with you, tinoo... I never understood all the comments about him being a despo. I was somewhat surprised, though, that he started acting so amorous after marriage when before marriage he had told Anandi that they would proceed at whatever pace she felt comfortable with. From personal experience, I find it really uncomfortable to be chased by someone I am not fully ready to be intimate with. So I was not happy when Shiv started behaving in that way, because if I had been Anandi, that sort of thing would have caused me to retreat further into my shell in terms of physical intimacy, and would also give me a massive guilt complex.

I do wish Indian TV shows would modernise a bit and show girls initiating sex in a positive light. It's like they only ever initiate it if they are vamps/pseudo-vamps (or, in the case of heroines, if they are talli... which only happens because they drank alcohol by mistake, naturally, because good girls would never willingly touch alcohol for the fun of it 😵). Like leaves said, good girls in serials always have to wait for their husbands to initiate, and even then, they have to show some resistance, not just agree to sex willingly. I find that to be such an archaic and irritating way of thinking... drives me mad!

Bottom line - women want sex too, and that's totally OK. Wanting sex doesn't make anyone a despo. Of course, a healthy degree of self-control is required, but basically, Indian TV shows need to start showing some degree of equality. I know BV is a largely village-based show, but Anandi and Ganga are both girls with spunk... some scenes of them initiating romance with their spouses for a change would be nice and send a good message out to the viewers (something this show hasn't done in a while with all the Sanchi nonsense they've been showing).
