CHAPTER-12.

Astha's heart thundered,as if in competition with the pouring rain,as she lay on top of the solid male body.

"Oh no Bappa!You did not stop me!I fell down again!"She whispered in vain,with her eyes closed tight shut.

Seconds passed,and rain drenched her and her solid man cushion..On whom she lay quietly frozen..Scared to move..Scared not to..Afraid to breath loudly,afraid to open her eyes..Uncertain of everything..

A loud thunder crashed over head splitting the sky open,and startling her out of her dazed stupefication..

She blinked,trying to clear her vision,as the pouring rain made her eyes sting,and simultaneously tried to sit up.

She had almost managed to sit up,after slipping thrice,due to her traitorous stupid legs,whose sensations seemed to have gone on holiday,when the solid man cushion himself pushed her back up on her own legs that her body seemed to have forgotten about,and stood up himself too.

She wobbled a bit,but finally managed to still herself,and prevent another fall onto the man.

Astha could feel the man's silent stare at her,and her face heated up in embarrassment.Why did she always had to fall,and that also on this hateful,loatheful,arrogant man!!!

Finally she turned to apologise to the hateful Shlok Agnihotri.

Her eyes reluctantly moved up the wide chest,that long seemingly endless torso..Finally her eyes met the..A completely new pair of eyes..

Astha could not stop her eyes and mouth rounding up,in complete twin actions of a perfect O'..When the man spoke..

"Are you alright..?"The man asked in a deep but hesitant voice..

Astha's head had started to spin,and her vision had started to blur suddenly,when she noticed the man was coming towards her with extended arms.

Astha's recently traumatized mind became active once again,as she started getting flashbacks of those horrifying moments in that dark room..Her senses now alert,her nostrils flared,and her eyes wide open in fear,she watched as if in slow motion,as the man's fingers locked around her arm..She could hear him speak,as if from a faraway place..Her mind not being able to differentiate the present from the past..

"Are you alright..?Are you alright Miss..?"The man worriedly asked again,as he noticed Astha's extreme pale face,and fear widened eyes.

Astha could not move,or talk,or breath..Through her scared eyes,she saw the man's grip on her arm tighten,and as she painfully, torturously dragged her eyes to that face,her blood ran cold..He was coming closer to her..The hyena!!!He was back to..She could not think..Her tormented brain had superimposed her tormentors onto the man's face..Astha went paler,as the man whose face reflected her tormentors' ugly letching smile to her,came closer..

"Are you okay,Miss..-?"

"ASTHA!!!"Shlok's husky voice interrupted the man.

Shlok stood breathing heavily..His eyes taking in a drenched Astha standing pale faced and transfixed at a man,who was..Shlok's brows crinkled in a deep frown,and his jaw clenched tightly..The man was holding her arm..!

He was just getting ready to blast the man alive,for scaring Astha,and for daring to touch her,when Astha snatched her arm free from his grasp,whirled round,and ran right into his arms..

Shlok stood shock still by what had just happened.Astha,the girl who for some odd reason seemed to hate him for no good reason,had ran into his arms..?!

Dumbstruck Shlok stared over Astha's head,at the stranger,the other guy who seemed shocked as well..

"I'm dreaming right?"He asked to the baffled stranger.

The man shrugged,and scratched his head..His expression reflecting his complete bewilderment..

"Or maybe I'm dreaming.."The man replied..

"Naah..This damn well is my dream.."Shlok muttered huskily,as strange currents started passing through his body,and Astha hugged him tighter.."Only in my dream could things be this perfect and feel so good.."Shlok said smugly to the other man,just before he wrapped his arms around the petite warm woman hugging him tightly,and his eyes closed in a long satisfied sigh..

The rain had finally stopped,as the baffled stranger stared on for quite some minutes,but the couple seemed to be unaware of him..So he coughed a little to get their attention..

Once was not enough.But at the fifth loud cough,the man finally opened his eyes..Eyes reflecting pure irritation..

"What is it?!"The man snapped out.His arms were still wrapped around the scared beauty..

"Ummm...You are..-"

"What?!You disturbed me to ask who I am now?!What the hell does it matter who I am..?!You mind your own-"

"Uh..Actually I was saying,you are standing on my car keys..It fell down when she fell on me.."The man explained,his eyes twinkling with suppressed laughter.His eyes clearly reading the reason behind the man's irritated outburst..

Shlok could actually feel his face coloring up,as he quickly moved away,pulling Astha along with him..

Damn the man!He thought angrily,as he felt Astha move out of his arms..He had just started to enjoy the surprise hug..!

Out of the corner of his eye,Shlok watched the man pick up his car keys,and start to leave..

He sighed out in relief,when he noticed Astha was out of her traumatized self,and was moving away too.

She had taken a step away from him,when she slipped,and Shlok caught her in his arms,just in time.His eyes burning into her hazel ones.,as he held her close to his hard body..

Together they were getting lost in their own world..

His arms wrapped tighter around her petite body,his eyes locked with hers..His heart had started to race,as he felt liquid fire racing through his veins..Clouding his senses once again..His breathing quickened,as his eyes slowly lowered to her lips..The soft lips parted just then,making his reserves start breaking..

He just had to taste those soft juicy lips one more time..
