CHAPTER-13.

Shlok took a staggering breath,to calm himself..But the act seem to only bring him closer to those soft pink lips..

And then,his mind went blank,as she let out her soft pink tongue,and licked her soft juicy bottom lip..A seemingly innocent act,of wetting her dry lips,had sparked his suppressed hunger to a new intensity..Shlok lowered his head,his control lost..

That's JUST IT!I have to kiss..

Just when his lips were close to nirvana,a loud coughing noise made Astha jump and move out of his grasp,like he was a burning hot kettle..Which,if he had the time to think,he almost was..He was literally burning with his illogical desire calls..

Shlok nearly groaned out in frustration,as he lost contact with her warm sensual petite body,but the loud cough again interrupted,stopping him from the embarrassment of groaning out.

A highly irked Shlok noticed an embarrassed Astha looking guiltily behind his back,at the source and cause of the untimely interruption.

Gritting his teeth,and clenching his hand into tight fists,he turned to face the culprit..

It was the self same man who had interrupted earlier too!And he was grinning from ear to ear like a Cheshire cat,clearly overjoyed at his irritation.Shlok clenched his jaw tight,ready to blast the guy.

"What the hell did you drop this time?!Your brain or your eyeballs?!!Clearly from the way you keep appearing when you are least wanted to,you surely lost both..!!"

The man's warm chuckle angered Shlok further.

"Actually it's not me who lost anything this time..It's you I think.."The man looked pointedly at Astha,which made Shlok frown deeper.

"What do you mean..?"

"This..Mr. Shlok Agnihotri.."

Shlok stared at his driving license,that the man handed him over..
"You dropped it,I think while looking for.."The man's eyes turned to Astha again..

Shlok was not liking the way he was constantly looking at Astha..Maybe that was the reason,he did what he did..Atleast that is what he believed.

Shlok's hand snaked around Astha's arm,as he pulled her closer to himself,and stared daggers at the amused looking man.

"While I was looking for my fiance Astha.."He said in his husky voice.

Two pairs of eyes rounded,at his declaration.The man reacted faster.

"Lucky you.."The man smiled warmly,as he extended his hand towards Shlok,"Glad to meet you Mr. Agnihotri,and congratulations on getting such a beautiful fiance..I'm Rahul..Rahul Singhania.."

Reluctantly Shlok,let go of Astha's suddenly numb hand,and shook the man called Rahul's..

"Okay.I'd better be going..By the way..She seems to be in shock..Please take her home..I think she needs dry clothes and some good sleep.."He turned and left before Shlok could react to the last part of the sentence..

HOW DARE HE PREACH ME?!SHLOK AGNIHOTRI?!!He thought in rage,as he saw the man's back disappear.

By the time he turned back to Astha,he realized Astha had truly turned pale..

"Astha?!Are you okay?!"He walked upto her,and touched her hand,which was instantly pushed away.

"Don't touch me!How dare you call me your..Your fiance?!!"She scathed out in anger.

"I'm sorry Astha..I had to protect you so.."

"Protect me?!Who asked for your protection?!Just because you are high and mighty THE SHLOK AGNIHOTRI does not mean you can do whatever you want to!I won't let you-.."

"Look we'll talk about this later..Now let me take you home.."He tried to touch her hand and was pushed away again.

"Don't touch me!I told you once,and I'm-.."

"Shshshhh.."Before she could get more hysterical,Shlok covered her mouth with his hand to quieten her..

"We'll talk about this later..Now let me take you home..Your parents must be worried about you..Please Astha.."He said in a soft pleading voice,as he looked into her angry eyes.

Astha calmed down finally..Her parents must truly be waiting for her..

So as Shlok lead her to the car she complied quietly,but minus him touching her..She would not let him touch her at any cost..

I loathe him!I really do!She said to herself,as if trying to remind herself of the fact.

She will not be moved even if Shlok Agnihotri acted like angel with a permanent white ring above his head,and treated her as politely as he was treating her now..She knew he was actually a wolf in a sheep's clothing.

These were her only thoughts,as Shlok drove her back towards her house..

But she could not help but take secret looks at his handsome profile,as he drove on..

A handsome wolf,and a handsome devil,though..She thought grumpily,and quickly looked away,as she noticed Shlok was looking at her,coloring in embarrassment,at being caught looking..

"Water.."She lied,trying to give an excuse for her staring.

She had not finished muttering the word,when she noticed he was holding a water bottle infront of her nose..

Reluctantly she took it from his hand,careful not to touch his fingers,as she did so..

Too good to be an angel!She thought unfairly,and grumpily,as she drank from the bottle.

"Thanks .."She muttered under her breath,hating having to say the word to the loatheful man..

Out of the corner of her eyes,she noticed,him still staring at her..

"Is the car on auto driver?"She asked sarcastically.

"What..?"

"Aren't you supposed to look at the road while driving?"She snapped out in explanation.

She got more irked as Shlok chuckled at her words,before turning to face the road again.But not before he had given her face a good thorough look over,as if memorizing her features..

DEFINITELY NOT ANY ANGEL!She thought angrily,as her face heated up in embarrassment,at such thorough appraisal.

The man watched them get down from the car.Astha pushing away Shlok's helping hand,as she strode into the house,and Shlok following her.

"So you got yourself a new prey Mr. Agnihotri..Let's see how long this one survives.."The man chuckled nastily,as he took out his cell phone from his pocket to make a call..
