Hi Goodstory,

Good analysis.😊

I think it's also important, very symbolic, really that Raghu came to Antara with blood on his hands. He does have her father's blood colouring his hand even though it was not intentional.

I also think that the fact he was beaten up very important and like you said, it's signs of things to come. He has become weak at the moment - think back to the beginning, people used to tremble when they heard his name, when they saw him they ran like the wind! - but now he was being beaten up! Then he fought back...so agree with you that now he is weak but later he will be so strong and fearless that those who came between him and Antu better watch out!

All in all, IMO, yesterday's episode had a lot of pointers for what the future will be like. He knows Antara is his and he will never waver from that even though for a while he will be filled with pain and almost come close to hating her. He may even be what DM wants him to be, a fearless thug/killer machine because her plan is to strip him off everything he loves and cares for so she can have a ruthless machine at hand. She better be careful because soon he will turn on her!👏

I'm not going to mention anything about today or what's coming up. We've all discussed it to the point of nausea and to be honest all these spoilers have really spoilt things for me. I like not knowing but as it is we all know what's going to happen for the next two weeks now - and given that there is no episode on Monday, we'll be even more behind now. Seriously we need some Maha Eppy to catch up.

One thing though, Raghu is going to be totally alone now. Contrary to everyone's opinion, I want him to have MM and Rukku around him. He needs emotions otherwise DM will win. He will be on a tightrope and any little push can send him reeling off on a path that may be hard to come back from especially if he thinks he has lost Antara for good. So for that reason, I want Rukku in his life, she has shown that she cares more for him than for her love for him. If she remains as selfless as this then that will help him. MM as we know will die for his Bhai but this is the time softer emotions is needed. I also think that Geeta may become a guiding force in his life, her recent interaction with him suggest that she will be the first to forgive him and may also help Antu work her way through her anger to the love she has for Raghu.

I don't want to say anymore, I've learnt enough to know these indian tv writers play havoc with character motivations and goals when it suits them and that there doesn't seem to be a proper story structure in place to accurately predict what the next turning point will be.!😛

Jyo, very good post. Today"s episode is a built up of the next big track to come. So Aman was blackmailed into telling Antu, no wonder she knows only the half truth. Now atleast we know why DM kept Aman alive, we all had doubts on it. As per the spoilers Raghu tells her the truth before the wedding, so now we have to see how it goes but whatever it is, looks like the "The Day" is tomorrow. Felt very sad seeing their last romance at the balcony and hope Antu remembers what Raghu said. His goal is now only to make Antu happy...give her so much happiness that she forgets her pain of the past. Whatever happens he is going to do that for her.
So Satya wants to tell the truth to Antu's mom & break the marriage. DM wants Aman to tell Antu and break the marriage. This mother-son duo doesn't have any other better work to do, I am waiting for the day when both of them have their hands on each other's throat. So looks like today was the last romance between the two innocent souls, from now somewhere or the other they are going to be scarred by this cruel world. But all we can say is though a tough journey they will emerge out as better people and their love will be stronger.

@Dreamygal, enjoyed reading your post. Raghu will become weak after Antu leaves him but he will become stronger and yes DM better beware, he is going to turn against her for sure. Even I would like Ruksana to be a friend to him when he is alone, I really hope the Cv's don't turn her into a negative character for TRP sake. We already have enough negative shades in this show. And actually no use predicting DDEJ, they give some twists or other which in one way is good but like you said it would be good if they have a proper story structure but I think Indian TV shows are almost like this. Until this concept of TRP is there, they need to keep on changing something according to the numbers, I have always felt it is a rat race which never ends.

Antara calling Sattu Jethji was music to my ears... And Rantara's last mulakat before marriage. That scene made me want to cry, the way they talked about their past meetings, and how Raghu said he has given so much trouble to her and her family and that he would pay back in terms of love.

Another thing, Aman is blackmailed to tell the truth and he has to do it for his family. And I guess he'll tell Antara only half the truth, and the fact that Raghu actually had no idea of what that box contained, will be hidden from Antara. How Antara gets the letter now, is what we have yet to see. Because if she reads the letter, she must know that Raghu was also cheated by someone who he thought was his friend.

I might also not be very regular here for a short while, I think.

Harshu, try to post whenever possible. All the usual members who post in review thread are missing now. Will miss reading your wonderful posts so do post whenever you can.

Hi Shiny,

Like you I don't want Ruksana to be negative because you said it, there is so many in DDEJ that Rantara are constantly tripping over them!😡😆

Seriously I like her character because I am impressed, that though she loves Raghu like they way Antu loves him, she still is a good friend to them both. That takes tremendous courage and shows she is also very decent. She understands that she could not help falling in love but she could control the way she goes on. I will seriously get upset if the writers then turn her negative!

I understand trps but a good show uses that to make their story stronger. Every story has a structure that needs to be followed and it has natural highs and lows. This structure originated during the ancient times (what we know as the 3 Act structure) and then Shakespeare took that and made it his own (the 4 Act structure). Every single story written or shows on TV follow some sort of structure but I often give up with Indian shows. Interestingly, I was watching another ZA show (SC) and have to say that story is very strong - the writers never deviate from the core story of two separated lovers, trying to find their way back to each other and for that I wish the writers of DDEJ would do the same. I've been increasingly concerned at the hasty editing and story telling lately. In desperation I trawled through the internet and watched some old episodes and the difference is vast.

The dialogue then was cracking, a live wire almost and the chemistry and attraction between Rantara was sizzling. Then it dropped, and in the last few weeks the story telling was all over the place with not very much logic in place. In my opinion the premarital scene was the worst. What was supposed to be so beautiful and advance the story felt gratuitous and hackneyed at best. I wished they had never shown that scene - it felt like something added at the last moment to take advantage of the mass hysteria that was created by the so called kiss! 😵

So going back to what I say, if the makers want strong trp they need to do serious surgery on their story. Starting with the current writer, the dialogues feel trite and flat without the former subtext or the brilliance.

Dm's story is a case in point for my argument about the current track.

This woman was supposed to be a fearsome Don, someone we saw Raghu respecting almost in a military fashion (going down on bended knee constantly) and then all of a sudden she is doing kitchen politics and Raghu confiding his deepest secret!

Raghu's character has been compromised because of one scene. Previously we saw a slightly different relationship and know almost a mother-son scenes?!! This is a tough guy; he grew up on her sufferance and knows how much he owes her and though she calls him a Son he knows he isn't hence his almost formality with her. If then you had told me he would spill his secrets to her I would have laughed. He is guarded and savvy when it came to reading people, we have seen enough scenes for that to be imprinted in our brains. However, with one scene, the writers completely overturned the impression I had formed based on their previous writing!

DM -well I stopped taking her seriously since the joke of a maha sangam. She could not even hire a proper killer (whoever heard of trying to attempt murder in a party via a knife thrower?😲)...so I completely stopped even thinking of her Don. The writers would have to do something massive to make me take her seriously, even believing in the fact she has links with terrorists!

(ok, I think you guys are getting my drift. I can't stand writing where it does not make sense with logical cause and effect.😃😃)😆

Dreamygal, I agree with you in most of the points. The start of the show was really strong, the dialogues punchy but then like you said recently something's have been lagging. I still have to put half the blame on the TRP & the channel and half on writers. i had already done two posts on my concerns to the Cv's. The show seems to loose logic in many places & the side characters are not at all used which is really not good for the story. I sometimes feel angry at the makers, it looks like the show has taken a back seat for them. The channel promoted the show until the TRP was good & the response was great. But once the TRP started falling, they have introduced romance & sidelined all other tracks which doesn't work all the time. As for SC, even I used to watch it but I can't agree with you about it's story line. The two lovers trying to get back has been hyped up with so many dramas for TRP sake and many characters butchered. If we see the show, it doesn't have any resemblance to the original novel which is really sad. So the sudden de response and TRP does impact all shows. I can't discuss much about SC here, otherwise I could list out my complaints here. The only hope is CV's realise that this show is important for them and take more care of it.

I have to sadly agree about DM! When she was introduced the hype was so much that we thought she will terrorise the place but then most of it was kitchen politics. Her character hasn't been layered properly. She is again a side character who has been sidelined by bringing in Satya too early. Bringing in Satya, they couldn't do anything on her character and have been concentrating only on these three. I agree about Your opinion on Indian shows, they start off well and then mid way mostly the writer looses interest. I have never understood this concept till now. When you had started a show, you would have had a definite storyline in your mind, so what is the problem. Shows are not for experimenting when the actors work hard to earn their money and fame in this industry. I used to expect logic before but after seeing 2-3 shows, I have come to the conclusion that no writer can give a perfect story. It may be down to the TRP's, channel pressure or financial, whatever it is ...the result is the show gets affected. So now I just enjoy until I can...it is anyway a relaxation from our daily life.
