Episode 423 Discussion: 7th Nov 2013

Welcome to the Episode discussion thread which we call as Viewer's and Reader's Respite. That's very apt, don't you think ? 😉. And that proves our objective.

Objective behind the thread is
  1. It helps in keeping the forum clean without much litter. People just need to fall in a habit.
  2. We can have it like breathers at first followed by analysis.
  3. It also helps like-minded souls and pals bond and gel together to drop in their thoughts for themselves as breathers and for their friends as a peep into the episode and for others to post their reviews.
  4. And those from different time-zones, who do not get to watch the episode at this time of telecast (Indian 8:30 PM), without any worry to trace or keep track of all their buddy's posts, they can come here, read with leisure and later post their analysis after watching it from their Time zones.

Note for Newcomers to this thread.
Extremist thoughts and moralizing thoughts are not welcome over this thread. It is entertainment show we are watching. The channel calls their programs as entertainment and we are watching the show. Discussions are welcome in light hearted and in realistic manner. Moral policing is not appreciated. We do not want to feel stifled into that kind of atmosphere here.

There are several other social welfare sites that are there to discuss the genuine issues. If for some reason, it is felt that social concerns have to be addressed and ethical and moral responsibility needs to be exercised for watching entertainment, then; certainly the forum is an open place to create separate ATs and build up that kind of propaganda.

Please heed to this as direct request and conditional requirement to participate in this thread. Strong words such as psychopaths unless used in show, need not be used to instigate riotous atmosphere or start sermonizing.

POINTERS for Writing/Posting of your reviews and thoughts over this EDT
  1. Do not litter the thread with chit-chat conversations. A little is permitted to have the friendly atmosphere, but when you feel like chatting more, it is desired you take your conversation with your buddies to alternate venues like chat clubs, pm mode etc.
  2. Quoting Policy: It is desired that people refrain from single, double, triple and multiple quoting of posts on a repetitive basis. They can pick out the parts that they like to quote as opposed to quoting the entire post. It is often seen that we have to scroll through the pages when all they have done is quoting and more quoting with one line response to the actual post. IF has a rule that more than three times quoting is not allowed. But nowadays as people read IF posts over phone, it is preferred that people do not quote longer posts and just extract the portions of the post that they like to respond to and if they still find it relevant to their thought process then get the entire quoted text.
  3. Regulate the font size. Keep remembering that. It is really not pleasing to see big bolded letters for no special reason.
  4. The thread becomes a mess when you give your review and do not REST for sometime until others have posted. Please understand, respites or reviews; once or twice are good for few pages...don't make a regular chat thread with your reiterating/whining/complaining on the same point. For the online readers, the thread becomes unpleasant read. There is a separate Complaints thread in Main Forum
  5. When episodic content is emotional, take a deep breath, give a good lengthy review; that acts as your vent in one single post...and make an exit to calm down your nerves if you still are possessed by only what you've seen.

For those who cannot watch can have the Live/Written Updates.
Today's LU from : Armu4eva

Note:
  • There are various other threads all over the forum. Please check out those as well. This is just one choice out of so many.
  • Readers are encouraged to post links of other members posts which had been "delightful read" towards analysis of episodic event/s or character analysis. It becomes an easy navigation in the myriad of posts and pages and can easily be overlooked.
  • The link to present day ED thread is always provided in the previous one discussed. Those who participated in previous thread can go to my posts and check the previous thread to get access to new link.

Quick review, after yesterday's emotionally charged episode, today was lighter.
  • RK refuses MC's proposal to make the movie Anamika centric.I'm hoping he sticks to this decision.
  • Madhu massages his arms...and they chat😳. Very sweet.
  • Murthy Bank calls up. How efficient these banks are, would like to know which bank it is. He threatens mildly to withdraw the finance, and recover the loan amount from RK, by attaching his house😡
  • RK assures him, he will begin shooting the next day.
  • Pabho is still trying to poison Rji's mind against Madhu, seemingly casual about the fact that her husband has been apprehended trying to kill RK!!
  • Rji's dialogues were boring. And her never ending copious tears, are annoying.
  • Sikky contacts Dips. he wants to meet her. She arrives at night with food. Sikky wants her to to convince RK to forgive him. Dips suddenly seems to feel sorry for him.
  • Next morning, RK is getting ready for his shoot. Madhu helps him smilingly, lovingly and he is touched😳.
  • Brazenly Pabho tries to accuse Madhu again of hurting RK. She wants RK to use a wheelchair. I think this is a message for all of us...we wanted a wheelchair, and Trimurthi's telling us...watch how RK reacts to a wheelchair. OK fair enough, I get the point. Psychologically it is important for RK to feel he can walk, maybe with help, but he can.
  • Now , please, maintain this strength in RK, if you really believe in it, is my message to the CVs. Have the courage to believe in what you've made, because we do. 😃
  • i really don't want any more pathetic scenes, am not looking forward to the shoot scene tomorrow.
PS: I noticed a lot of dialogues that were in the BTS were edited out in the actual scenes...that is in the RM scene..

I missed the epi so my review will come late..but wanted to say something in reply to ur post arm dear..
IMO I feel odd when someone tags madhu as mahan..only bec she said "main sab theek kar doongi"...i dun think this is the motive of the cv's..to show her as mahan, bec she is as much flawed as rk or any other gray character in the show..like rk, she' also a person of extremes..if madhu does something for rk, it shows her genuine selfless love and I admire it..also its reciprocated back by rk..so basically, both r focussed on doing nything and everything for each other...when they got married, rk said tht he will try to give her madhu wala pyar n he stuck to his word..so tht was the character transformation ..i wish madhu also turned a little bit like rk..r we gonna call rk mahan bec he did so and so for madhu?
next, the heroine oriented subject..we dunno the original story or the modified one, but I think they will stick to the main theme tht madhu will live rk's dream..yes, rk was re establishing himself with this movie but he may agree to mc's idea happily , thinking tht now since he is paralyzed, he will launch madhu instead..he may want to see her as a big star..rk centric, madhu centric, heroine or hero centric does not matter , lets appreciate the emotions involved...

sorry MAS I tried waiting for the second page but could not any longer.
Here is my LOVED, HATED and Questions review on the episode,
Loved:
1] Madhu the physiotherapist.
2] Rk's confidence and the sheen in his eyes when he hugged madhu after the phone call to Mr. Murthy
3] Rk naming a drink after him, please let me know where can we get a glass too😉
4] Dipali in her own way showing pabo the mirror giving her glycerin...🤣
Hated:
1] Radha: using up a full bottle of glycerine , aab is me bhi madhu se competition? aur lady, Nautanki Filma ka budget bad jaye ga na...😲😭😭 vaise bhi ghar girvi hai, aab iske liye bhi loan lena padega kya?
2] Pabo: I have serious doubt that the women loves RK. which mother would try and break her son's confidence. is this her way of making her son independent?😲
Question:
1] Really my sister works in the corporate loan sector of a multinational bank and tho' they have relationship officers for big clients, they don't hover and sit on their heads like this. There are milestones and repayment dates, that's about all that a bank is concerned with especially when they have a guarantee... for me this is again clunk and the majboori , pressure buildup just to change the movie to anamika centric. CV PLEASE PLEASE keep it as both fighting. there were so many discussions yesterday about how the story can still be RK centric and just minor change will get the movie finished
2] IS dipali really feeling sorry for Sikki? I mean seeing how mean she has become lately, I am just curious as to why did she even come to help sikki? this better not be some sort of improving her image track😲
3] why is RK still nor at least questioning pabo about the FIR?
Now the Preacap of all Precaps:
If the day before yesterday precap stirred us emotionally, todays put us in high heaven. IF ever, and I really mean it , if ever I had bad mouthed RK for the unwedding or his meanness immediately after, he is fully redeemed himself today. I look at it this way, he cannot / will not literally slap the two moronic senior artist living in RK mansion so this is the figurative slap on their face for even dreaming of coming between him and his wife. Are RK ne to apna name tak badal diya. I love you 👏🤗 Rk for that

The Rishbala scenes were excellent.

But today, the depression-fest 'RK sidelined to supporting actor or removed from his own self-starring first production' that Mehul started the push for in yesterday's episode started to close closer.

First, the bank-manager who (even after being provided with adequate collateral) is behaving as if loan-repayment has nothing to do with that unknown concept called deadline, but rather seems to be some newfound idea that a bank doesn't foreclose only if they see the money being used for stated purpose constantly.
Even if the superstar has just had a paralytic attack?

What in the world are the CVs thinking?
First they thought the audience was so intelligent that we should be able to see through depths and fathoms of subtlety.
Now they think the audience are absolute paragons of gulliblity who will never see all the obvious clunk all over the place?

And what great purpose does all the clunk serve?
It makes the superstar millionaire majboor and in need of rescue financially and physically. The more he strives, the more they clunkily emphasize that he'll fall.
And the girl who has been selfless and forgiving beyond all limits gets to be called ill-omened by an old man who couldn't even tell whether the unborn child would be a son or a daughter but could predict everything beyond that.
And only when she is shown praying in extreme ways and suffering physically, only then disaster to her husband is averted or limited.
And the two people who have carved out his personal and now his professional life, she was shown championing both against her husband's opinion. Still not figured out why they had to place Madhu i the firing-line both times.
So whensoever RK is sidelined needlessly , is there any way the sheer unnecessity of it would be evoking a swell of mass-support anymore than the equally majboor theme of the previous track? Depression, humiliation and defeat, yes.
The intelligent RK and the brave Madhu dancing like puppets and doing everything that they originally strongly say they will not? It was memorable enough the previous time..

And some of the clunk is a needless touch - not too much, not negligible.
The jail-stint where RK was perhaps the only undertrial even in films or serials to wear a prisoner's uniform.
Now just enough paralysis for him to be pushed around but not too invalid.

And a bank-officer who could be justifiably taken through the grindstone legally and through the press for threatening to prepone foreclosure on a loan the very next day after the person suffered a paralytic attack?!

Why the heck does it hurt the CVs to let Madhu and RK both act in the film without downgrading RK and making him look increasingly majboor?
It's a heroine-centric couple-romance already.
So what is the need to turn the remaining 40% of the film to focus even more on the heroine?
Why turn the superstar into a supporting actor while using him as the excuse for the film and Madhu becoming heroine?
She can become a superstar just fine even with him as an equivalent co-star.

All of this would have just been a blow from one side if the writers had not had the idea of trying that horrid manhoosiyat prophecy from the other side while forcing this wretched majboori theme from the other.
They have not shown that prophecy disproven.
And if they show RK first crippled by Madhu's hand (Mehul who gives himself credit for so much has not claimed the due credit for being the brains and actual origin for a last-minute stabbing scene for a frivolous dream-sequence) and then reduced to supporting actor while his wife becomes the centre of the film, do they expect it to not be extremely unmistakeably obvious as blatant clunk?

The millionaire was made ludicrously financially majboor to make him dependent on a bank-loan that he should have had no need for.
What did he need much money for - expensive crew or stars or studio?
Director and crew? Unwanted in the industry even without being banned.
Male lead? The producer.
Female lead? Either a newcomer or the producer's wife.
Studio? Owned by the producer.
Out of all this, on what did RK need to spend a large loan? On beautifying the vista outside his studio?
That loan should be unspent even now, and repayable promptly at a moment's notice.

Why is this thread so dead these days?🤔 Are the episodes so bad?😆

Anyway, I LOVED the episode yet again⭐️

I loved how RK asked Madhu to bandage her wounds. No one but him saw her bandaged feet.

Then I loved how Madhu was massaging his arm😳 And her assuring dialogues to him were good. She was helping him in small small stuff. That was cute. I just hope RK doesn't get irritated with her help later🤔

The next morning, I loved RK's dialogues to the reporter. He didn't let her pity him for once. The the RishBala scene was again very touching <3 Loved how Madhu was helping him in dressing up❤️

Precap was the show stealer once again <3

I just hated Padha-Paddo-Dips scene🤢 Pabbo ka I understand that she is a selfish cheap woman, but why does Padha behave like that? Everyone is playing games and she is the only CLEAN person out there? Spineless lame woman👎🏼

There was not much to say...in all the episode can be cleanly divided into couple of categories-
1)RM solidarity and their love for each other in face of increasing pressure- Love it
2)First look at Dips-Sikky relationship without RK being a part of it- Intrigued by it
3)Pabo and her manipulations with Radha still lost- want to forget it

I agree with other members on the forum, I do not understand the CVs obsession in making this movie heroine-centric or the pressure bank is putting on RK, that is not how bank operates...when bank gave RK loan it would have asked for a guarantee which is RK mansion. It does not track day to day use of its loan. CVs seem to have confused investor with bank. Now for heroine centric movie...Huma was recognized for her effort in "Gangs of Wasseypur" which was a male-centric movie. Sonakshi started her successful career from "Dabagg" another Salman Khan vehicle. There are multiple examples of a female cast shining in a male-centric movie. Making a high cost movie with an unknown and reluctant actress seems like a fool-hardy project to me in today's age of media. I am not sure why MC keeps insisting on it unless he wants revenge of sorts from RK for something. I mean how many viewers are going to flock to see a "Gauri Khan" or a "Suzanne Roshan" movie. Also movies are not like shows where the storyline can be changed on a second's notice...there is immense effort to lock down the sccript even before the movie starts. No director would suggest or behave like MC is doing.

The way this should have gone is that "Madhu" gets noticed in this movie...she is offered more opportunities which she takes up for whatever reason.

I am glad that they finally started with Dips/Sikky though once again the timing is off. Regardless of the obsession Dips has for RK, she has to feel something for Sikky even if it is some sort of twisted attraction or friendship. She married him before the movie was released...I am sure she saw something in him more than dollar signs. Agreed that Sikky is a fool but she has to feel something for him given his unflinching devotion and selfless love. I have always seen this couple as reverse of RM. Sikky is as foolish and selfless as Madhu while Dips like to play around with him the same way RK once did with Madhu. In time RK melted...logic states at some point ...Dips will too.

Now for Pabo...she is blinded by her jealousy though I wonder how someone as wily and as evil as her could ever be philanthropic in any measure. There is no selflessness or even compassion in her. This is reflected not only in her behavior with Madhu but also with Radha and RK. I pity both RK and Radha that they were a part of such a twisted family. I see no difference in them except that Radha chose to close her eyes and go with the flow while RK fought every step of the way.

As much as I want to hate Radha, I understand her stand based on what she is being shown...she no longer trusts anybody...can you see how similar she is to RK now?

I just caught up with the episode, and enjoyed it..
  • So RK sends MC and Bittuji off. I liked that, although am worried based on spoilers etc. about what will happen later, whether he will reconsider. CVs, do not go down that distasteful path. We want to see RM get through this together. No one - neither us, nor your cherished TRP audience, is going to watch a RK who is incomprehensibly weakened. If yesterday and today were any indication of the direction you are headed in, fine (RK temporarily physically weakened, but in spirit the same), fine. Otherwise you may as well pack up.
  • Loved that RK asked for antiseptic etc. for Madhu's feet. Shows that despite things going on, the other's well being is always on each other's mind. And he affectionately tells her that he knows its some nivaran related, but isn't going to ask (on one level, it was sweet, on the other I was like, ask dammit! But I guess there's still time for Evilness to be exposed.)
  • RK getting his arm massaged (for everyone who wanted a repeat of massage from last year, this is a small gift. Not in the same zone of course, but still) I liked how whatever Madhu is doing for him is matter of fact, not overly or cloyingly solicitous, yet at the same time being there to discreetly help him.
  • The scene with Dips and Evilness before they went to meet Weakling was funny - the two partners in crime, total fakers. Dips (with her glycerin etc.) is overtly so, Evilness is covertly so - she has the veneer of virtuousness and having the family's best interest at heart, but in reality, its all about the power struggle for RK.
  • I was a little unsympathetic to Weakling's sobs. When there is some indication that she is definitively moving one way or the other, that's when I'll focus on her. Right now, it is somewhat irritating for me to watch someone who has had her head stuck deep in the sand, and is trying to find her way out. I almost expected her to throw Kukuji's photo in the trash can (must have been a recent one 😆, he has that green outfit on, with the gold chain) But she just placed it in the drawer. Leaving the door open for reconciliation at some point?
  • Loved Madhu helping RK with the small tasks of getting ready. Mischievous smile on her face as she sprayed the perfume on him. Really, all those little gestures were spot on - this is a loving couple that cherishes each other, bumps in the road notwithstanding.
  • I liked that Weakling walked in on a RM hug - something she is probably going to store in her head, if she knows what's right for her. I also liked how RK told her that he had to go back to the studio to essentially damage control the mess that her husband had created.
  • I totally enjoyed the scene where Evilness is out there, and after some dancing around, comes to the point and tells him that she doesn't want Madhu around him. And then - the piece de resistance - she gets the wheelchair. Not an innocuous cane, but a wheelchair. And to RK of all people. LOL!
  • Side Notes:
  • The editor's mention of the script is yet another indication that the matter is not over.
  • Mr. Murthy's call was clunky - it's like he has no other loans in his portfolio, and he is tracking this 24x7.
  • The Fugitive and his wife. Poor Sikky is on the run, hungry and alone. Calls his wife. Who actually does show up with food. Hmmm. Maybe underneath it all, she does care for him in a weird way. Also, could be that he is the only reason she is in RK Mansion. So she is holding on to it.

The Precap: Bye-bye wheelchair. And foolish people, you've been warned. The man himself has spoken - do not attempt to separate Madhubala Rishab Kundra and Rishab Madhubala Kundra.

Leela ...every bit of what you said was struck a chord.

RK would not have spent that money yet anywhere... Now if the movie was almost complete...the money would be spent and AB doing what he did as last measure...it would make sense but then it throws heroine-centric movie track into a jiffy.

The bank can be sued for the way he was harassing RK. For that matter even MC is harassing him. I am surprised that MC is treating this so casually and using it to further his agenda whatever that is.

As someone mentioned, everyone is busy evaluating how it impacts them and treating the apparent murder attempt casually...no one is worried about the moral implications or even the enormity of the action or how RK feels by yet another betrayal from his family.
