A handful of us never understood why Jalal is steadily falling hook, line & sinker for Jodha who's only been harping hateful dialogues all the time - spurning his admiration of her and not acknowledging any of his noble acts!
Similarly, we never understood why an otherwise sensible-to-others Jodha cannot trust any compliment the Shehenshah pays her or appreciate any good he does for her!
I've just realized that its all down to language problems. This is a major twist in the serial that the CVs have not revealed yet - possibly something that shall be shown later on (or might be forgotten seeing how many explanations/justifications are conveniently skipped🤔)
My guess - Jodha fails to properly understand Jalal's Azeez Urdu and Jalal doesn't understand word-by-word translation of Jodha's shudh Hindi!
[So far, he's only managed to cover vichitra, praani, pashu, ghrina, ashobaniya, pratishodh and dand! He still has a long way to go...so far, she's only covered Khamoosh, Azeez, lazeez, Uff and Bas! She has a long way to go too!]

Jalal misunderstands it as a subtle praise of his people's bravery
'You Mughals are so mighty, we're desperately running out of such brave leaders to face you!'
Jodha is immensely worried about her sister's wedding and Amer's reputation after the Hawai incident
'Eshwar na karein agar aapko Amer mein kuch hua to Sukanya ka vivaah rukh jaayega...aur us anhoni ka kalank hamaari pariwaar waalon ki maathe par lag jaayegaa'
Jalal mis-reads it as genuine concern
'Outside Amer no one dares to do ANYTHING to you anyway Shehenshah...its only in and around Amer (and my presence) that you face so many problems...so you staying out of Amer (and away from me) is the safest course of action for you!'
In that Shehenshah pagdi, Jodha mocks his loneliness😛
'Aaj hamein aap par ghrina nahin, par aap par daayaa aa rahi hai Shehenshah'
He misunderstands it as
'I never realized when or how I stopped hating you Shehenshah...in fact, I don't know...but, I think I have started feeling a lot of empathy for you!'
Jodha chides him smugly😳
'Bahut peeda hogi na aapko ki is sansaar mein aisa koi nahin jo aapse prem karta ho...sach mein Shehenshah...bahut katin hai aapka Jeevan...ek pal bhi ham tho aapka jeevan nahin jee sakte!'
Jalal is instantly moved by what he considers admiration
'Hats off to you Shehenshah...what a tough life you lead at the top...I'd never be able to do so...my admiration for you has tripled!'
Jodha shouts at him angrily😡
'Yahaan..andar ki toofan se behtaar hai wahaan baahar ki toofan!'
Jalal misunderstands it as
'The storm outside is more enjoyable outside...please come and get me if it gets a bit too cold though'

On the stormy night, Jalal pulls the curtain cords - reminding her with a semi-transfixed semi-taken smile
'Aap tho pardeh giraanaa bhool gayee thee Jodha Begum'
She reads it as an accusation😛
'You've become very shameless these days Jodha Begum!'
