all the women
out there! We deserve it. I'd like to salute all the strong women here in
this forum who've made a difference, however small, in their own or other
people's lives.
As aperture, Meg and many others rightly said, we have fought hard for
our rights and KS's/Kekta's depiction of the position of women in her
serials is deplorable. As educated women most of us are apalled at the
way Kekta has chosen to show marriage, relationships and lately,
widowhood.
Women, mostly through these K-serials have been degraded in every
possible manner.
I, for one, cannot tolerate this any more. Being a woman myself (well girl
really) I cannot come to terms with the fact that another women is behind
all this regressive nonsense being shown on TV.
Women's Day is all about loving ourselves as women,
being proud of our identity and fighting for our rights. it is the day for
women to come forward and shine.
So on this women's day, it is my sincere request to all the self-respecting
women viewers out there and the men who respect women to boycott this
regressive, degrading and sexist serial for one day at least. To show
those behind the helm exactly what we think of this nonsense and that we
won't stand for this anymore. To show them that as viewers, we have
decided to wake up and protest.
Today, for one day at least, let us all refrain from switching on our
television sets at 9:00 and let us instead use that half hour to do
something which we will feel proud of.
Please post in this topic if you are in.
Boycott Kasamh Se on Women's Day!
