[quote=Percy] I barely post in here. I don't remember saying anything intelligent. But thank you for the compliment.

This is actually something I have been thinking alot about lately on a personal level.

I have this very strong, clearly defined "comfort zone" . There are ppl who I don't like, so i will actively avoid them even on family functions. There are things i'm not comfortable taking part in, so i'll turn my back on them just bec I think i won't be able to be the best in it, or just bec i FEEL that they are not my cup of tea. etc etc..

The worst thing about sticking to your comfort zone is that slowly it starts taking over all the aspects of your life. You start avoiding all situations and ppl that do not fall into this so called zone and may end up in a self-imposed exile.

Its actually my new year resolution, to do things that are beyond my comfort zone. because, i have realised that staying in this self-created cacoon has harmed my growth, my overall development and my attitude. To become well rounded individuals we have to accept the good with the ugly, the comfortable with the uncomfortable, things we like along with the things we don't like

Whats the fun of living in a comfort-zone ? That way, we would never have new experiences, never make new friends, never change!

Nice Topic 👏 😊

I would like to hear your thoughts on 'comfort zone'. 😊

Do you have one? Or do you like to dare?

Yes, Feel everybody has one in some way or the other. 😳

It depends upon each situation. In some I may like to dare and in others I may not.

Why do you think people are scared or reluctant to
step out?

Fear.... of the journey to reach the outcome. They are afraid to take the chance. Comfort Zone makes us believe that the situation we are in, is the best for us and doing anything beyond that may involve lot of risk factor. Its like a make believe world in which we are supposedly contented.

Do you think that 'comfort zone' also prevents us from thinking
of the world as our family?

Yes

How much does this attitude hurt a person's
growth??

A lot...

A person is like a prisoner because of his/her comfort zone. It encloses us partially or completely. CZ is deterimental to a person's growth because it doesnt allow him/her to amass experience of various good/bad things in life which may stifle his progress.

Lets hear it. 😳

PS: Believe it or not but each post of mine in DM makes me come out of my CZ 😛 😳
