Hi to all,

You have got some great topics going on in here. I only read; am not fit
to
debate...

1. I am not sure if I have any debating skills.
2. My head follows my heart. Mix of logic and emotions = not a good
figther; I am anguished easily by discord.
3. I am disinterested after breaking my head over AK (KYPH characters)

So, I come up with a silly topic, probably least debatable. ๐Ÿ˜†

I would like to hear your thoughts on 'comfort zone'. Do you have one? Or
do you like to dare? Why do you think people are scared or reluctant to
step out? Do you think that 'comfort zone' also prevents us from thinking
of the world as our family? How much does this attitude hurt a person's
growth??

Lets hear it. ๐Ÿ˜ณ

I think she needed a bit of encouragement here to be more open with her views and My Baby Niece (MBN) you did a great job of encouraging her ๐Ÿ‘. She thinks too much about what others will think about her rather than what she thinks she should do.

@Reeps: You're aware of the Nike tagline 'Just Do It', well make it yours.

Ah, an open discussion on my favorite topic -- mua!๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ˜† You guys are strange!

M- Why do you think it is a sad introduction? I am only stating my reasons for NOT being an aggressive debator. Hence, the topic! If the topic weren't so silly, the discussion would be on 'comfort zone' rather than on me.๐Ÿ˜† Also, which posts are you refering to? I barely post in here. I don't remember saying anything intelligent.๐Ÿ˜• But thank you for the compliment.๐Ÿ˜ณ

Souro, if I can praise you for your articulate and rational thoughts... I can criticize as well. I have noticed that you often assume what others might be thinking or what their thought process is behind certain talks. Now, why and from where do you infer that I dont' say much thinking what others will say?

YOu don't know me souro ....once I start blabbering, I am hard to stop, and very impulsive ... so, I say what I have to say if something is not to my liking. It's different that my heart sinks thinking I might have said something which I shouldn't have.

Anywho, as far as debating is concerned ... I do not feel strongly for anything other than human values anymore. I have argued with a certain somebody beyond limits, with a goal of wanting to understand why it was so difficult to come to a mutual understanding of each others' views. YOu can call me crazy, but I always ended up anguished for not coming to terms with each other. I have finally come to realization that going back and forth on a topic rarely does any good, also dawned on me to just accept another as he or she is and respect their opinion. So, I read, take in what I agree with and whatever appeals to my reasoning or slowly walk backwards if I don't agree.๐Ÿ˜† Any of it has nothing to do with me not putting down my opinion thinking what others might think.

I think there are enough of you here .... sometimes, I feel I haven't even a clue to discussions on economy, govt. etc. ... just cause my knowlege about any of it is 'limited'. Enough on me, lets move away from my comfort zone, and talk of if comfort zone does prevent us from making the world our family... caring and sharing๐Ÿ˜† ... now that sounds lame, but the concept is really neat.๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Waiting for somebody's thoughts!๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Persy

PS. IT is really hard to argue when a person looks at everything from an understanding POV..... taking in positives and negatives of both sides. I don't like to jump the gun .... merely state my observations.๐Ÿ˜ณ

See now you have atleast understood a part of us, we're strange.๐Ÿ˜†

Criticise me at will Reeps/ Persy ๐Ÿ˜† . Here it's not like having face to face conversation with someone and the other person is not present to clarify everything. So, it's possible that many times I interpret things differently than was originally meant. However, if you're talking about sometimes harsh reaction that comes, well Reeps/ Persy I've not learnt to take insults or negative criticism lying down, if they're giving it to me then they should be prepared to handle it when I give it back to them.

I don't know you, right, but what I said doesn't come from knowing or not knowing you. You think you blabber a lot, well let the other people be the judge for that. Those who don't like it can ignore you, those who think you can do better will point it out where you're wrong and why. ๐Ÿ˜Š

I didn't think your topic was silly, but a li'l difficult as it's hard to define what my 'comfort zone' is.

I would like to hear your thoughts on 'comfort zone'.

Do you have one? Or do you like to dare?

IMHO, almost everybody (except maybe some saints) have their own comfort zone (CZ), it may vary from vast to extrmely narrow but surely there will be one.

As for me, I've learnt to adapt to new places very fast. How much daring I'm, I cannot say exactly, but I'm comfortable with leaving one place and moving to another.

Why do you think people are scared or reluctant to step out?

People loves regularity and a rhythm in their life and for most of us anything unknown tends to make us cautious.

Do you think that 'comfort zone' also prevents us from thinking of the world as our family?

I'll agree with this, since CZ adds a bit of cynicism in one's life, it'll also prevent us from accepting the whole world as our well wisher or family.

How much does this attitude hurt a person's growth??

For this part, I honestly don't have an answer. It surely acts as a hindrance in one's growth path but to what extent, I don't know.

Lets hear it. ๐Ÿ˜ณ

I meant cynicism or difficulty to believe in what lies outside the realms of one's life. If I can accept anything and everything I'll also believe every human without necessarily knowing him/her which can make me think about the whole world as my family.

Persy you should know by now writing colourful posts is my speciality. ๐Ÿ˜ณ

Persy you might not have posted but this one is a home run.. A veri nice thread. My $0.02

Comfort zone just keeps us away from reality and generally is an escapist route....whereas most of the times it serves to protect us sometimes it doesnt prepare us when we have to step out of it.... ๐Ÿ˜Š

Paths to social/professional growth and success are waylaid with too many step-outs of these comfort zones... and if you dont, you dont win.. So prepare yourself to step out of that comfort zone sometimes and dont bother about confrontations... take that (Stepping out of comfort zone, and confronting sometimes) as a part of your survival kit in this journey of life... ๐Ÿ˜Š

Again a veri nice thread.... ๐Ÿ˜Š
