Kareena Kapoor Khan will be honoured by Asian Sunday newspaper and Members of Parliament for her contribution to the global entertainment industry, at the Launch of the newspaper's London Edition, taking place at House of Commons on 29th October.

Asian Sunday and members of Bradford Metropolitan District Council will also be honouring Bradford-born celebrities Dynamo (AKA Steven Frayne, Dynamo: Magician Impossible) alongside Kimberley Walsh (singer-songwriter, model, television presenter, actress and band member of Girls Aloud) for their respective contributions to the entertainment industry.

Supported by British Airways as Event Partner, the milestone occasion will be witnessed by Bradford and London MP's, VIP's, dignitaries and influencers from across the business and media sectors.

It's not really the "British Government" as much as it is "Bradford Council" which is a small area up in the North of the country with a large Asian population. And it's the newspaper that is recognising her with the "honour". Still it's great news and well done to her. I hope she comes to receive it. Although when she came to London for the Ra.One premiere in 2011 she was a big snob to us fans

No not phir bhi.

Bradford council is associating itself with an ethnic newspaper to seem cool and "inclusive" - and it's the newspaper who is honouring the stars. Technically not government officials.

It's not as if David Cameron and the other plebs sat around at the Commons and short listed her after watching a marathon of Golmaal 3/Jab We Met/Refugee

Technically it's not the British government but some newspaper which has high readership among British Indians. But good for her.
