... If he were some other character and not Shivraj Shekhar himself.
Think about it guys, if some character artist and not the show's lead was doing this? What would have been the air in the forum then? We would have made endless threads to bash up the character and tag it as an ultimate antagonist. Just what we are doing to rest of the Shekhars...
Trust me guys I am not a JaGan fan nor I have issues with Shivraj personally but I am quite amazed to find how many of us in this forum are ending up finding out-of-the-box and quaint justifications for Shiv's behavior.
I was pretty happy for AnSh marriage but that was solely because Anandi was able to find someone for herself and the show would end up justifying that child marriages are never meant to work.
We cannot put Shiv on a pedestal for marrying Anandi who was a divorcee then because he never did that for social service or rehabilitating her. He married her because he loved her. He did and attained what he really wanted and for his own good more than Anandi's.
Shekhars agreed to the alliance as well only because they assumed Anandi would be perfect for Shiv and not the other way round.
We can call it a co-incidence that it rehabilitated Anandi.
For similar reasons, I was unhappy with the impulsive JaGan marriage as well as Jagya did it just to stop Ganga from going, for his own sake, not to rehabilitate a divorced single mother.
How does Shiv end up being a Mahan character here?
If he did wait patiently for Anandi to approve of the alliance before taking it to the next level, I find it quite normal taking into account the circumstances under which she was almost pushed into the marriage by EB from Bhago and DS.
Wouldn't getting desperate have made him another Ratan Singh or Basant?
He supported Anandi through thick and thin, why?
Because he loved her and not because he rationalized her behavior and actions.
And the support is now pivoted to Saanchi and again why?
Because he loves her...
I may be wrong but all I find him to be is at the mercy of his instincts and emotions and all his actions guided by them.
Someone rational and educated, a collector in fact, would never ever support or glorify such a stupid act from his sister to the extent of attempted martyrdom and turn his back towards every other person minutely related to the person whom he holds responsible
Arrrghhh... Vented all out and I feel better now... 😆
The post is open to all bashings and I am ready to face them 😊

@tm well written post. But i am not agreed with you.No one in the forum said that Shiv was a mahhan. Or he have done a super mahaan work by marrying Anandi. He loves her that is why he married her. And he is very clear to his POV that their relation in stand on equality. I do not think anywhere where he did not give anandi her liberty. Anandi was the women who always shared all of her pain and happiness only with him . he always guided her as a friend , as a guide as a philosopher. Now in this track He is shown as a Brother, as a son. But here also he have never perused anandi to give wrong statements to court. He never pressurized anandi not to take the side of J...he tried to convince anandi that what ever J have done that is wrong in his eye...he never said to anandi that you should support me...he said to her that this time i think your decision in wrong ...so this time i could not stand with you. So there is no need to introduce the similar kind thread again and again only to bash SRS.He is always very strong in his POV . He never lied, never double faced, never took the advantage of others...this time he himself is aimless...and off course only for the sake of BV drama...and the drama is not over...so till then it is better we will wait and watch.

What exactly Shiv is doing that is so wrong? Suing Jagya? I think this court case is for abatement of suicide (he earlier said manhaani something, but perhaps has not filed maanhani case). Nobody knows that the suicide attempt was fake. So as Sanchi's brother, he is angry at Jagya and thinks that Jagya is responsible for Sanchi's sorrows (it is partly true) just like Jagya was responsible for Anandi's suffering. In this track, nobody is completely right or completely wrong - so why single out only Shiv? The only point where Shiv can be bashed is - not showing respect to the haveli people at present. When they came face to face - I think (due to power cut at that time, I could not watch the complete scene) even Jagya and Ganga behaved the same- not wishing Shakhers.

Yeah i also dun agree with you , Shiv is not mahan , he married Anandi

as he loves her and the same reasons apply for supporting her like a

pillar in her works and even at this time though he doesn't support her ,

he is not suppressing her to support him...

he just said what he feels right at the time 😊

Well said by tm...life is not so simple for few people , they try to complicate it with their actions , causing sufferings not only to themselves but also drag others to suffer. We cannot speak what we want and cannot act how we want to act.
Shiv has always been seen by many a person with some rationale thinking...I may be wrong but to me his character is somewhat like apersona going anc sailing with emotions. When he married Anandi , I was one of them who always thought and was of firm view that his marriage to Anandi is not purely on love but other factors have also played some roles...like whould he have married Anandi if she was in khajan singh home...what is the role of ds in hooking them together...and finally the last wish of bhago...I always consider shiv a very weak or emotional character whose thinking is very narrow...the way he is blindly supporting her dumb sister, same way was his decision to marry Anandi...and I feel proud that he is very much close to my expectations. He has always shown immaturity wether in the amnesia track, or taking jagya to jail or even marrying Anandi.
Why people like him...because of his average looks 😉

I have nothing against Shiv, he is being obedient son and loving brother, and slapped case against Jagya because he wanted justice to his heartbroken sister.. he is not being Mahaan here but a normal dutiful son..😊

What I don't like about him these days is the way he is treating his wife Anandi.. let alone talking to her nicely he is let other family members to ill treat her, his mother Ira is insulting his wife every possible way still he is keeping quiet, 😕

If my husband did this to me i would hv packed and moved away.. seriously..

That's why Shiv's character lost its charm only because the way he is dealing with Anandi at this particular period of time.. hope things will become normal and we wl see the romantic Shiv back..

@TM
I agree with every single word of yours. Since its Shiv, I am amazed to see only positivity out of his actions, when clearly he is acting like egoistic and self centered husband.

If it were any character and did the same as Shiv, he or she would have been bashed very bad. Insulting a very good person like Bhairon is not at all acceptable. And unfortunately it's not even brought up.

Shiv was never rational. He did what felt right for him. And his thoughts are not always right. Cold shoulder to his wife, shame on him. If he would put himself in her shoes, he would have understood how she would have felt becoming sandwich between two families.

They did it again. Saanchi insulted jaggiyyas family, now her entire family did the same.

If Shiv gave a second thought and tried to put all pieces together he would have known how unfair he is to jaggiyya, sings and especially a another girl (like his sister) ganga.

There is no hesitation to say he is equally self centered as saanchi and needs psychiatric treatment along with her sister.
