PART 17
By the time Arnav went to Lucknow, Khushi was being continuously madr run around with work. All credits to SHEETAL KAPOOR. She was driving Khushi for every small work, like calling the Bell captain, Informing Bell Boy about new visitors, etc. In short she was like a peon.
Khushi who was feeling good yet worried after the pool incident, tried every possible ways to contact Tara or Aarthi. But all in vain. After the pool incident, staying in cold made her body weak and the Work Sheetal was driving her in made her tremble literally.
But Khushi's stress busters were the kids always.
"Ushi, you come me. I give tea." Meetthi used to pull her during the break time. Even the Bell captain who was an elderly person used to make her sit for sometime n make her hav some refreshments.
"Nathu Chacha. Thank you so much. But what was the need? I would have managed" Khushi used to chide.
"Bitiya, you have to take care of urself too. You have grown pale." The bell captain Nathuram used to caress her lovingly.
But the important fact was that, Ansh and K hushi were getting very close. Ansh would always be around Khushi for everyone's amuse and for Sheetal's irritation. Ansh used to sit with her for a long time and narrate many things to her. Khushi was feeling herself attracted to Ansh as he always reminded her of someone close to her. But Khushi was still unaware of the fact that Ansh was Arnav's son.
Sanaah and Anjali were happy seeing their Plan go in right direction.
But to everyone's distraught, something happened after Arnav's return.
Arnav returned from Lucknow as the contruction company people were there to visit AR for the renovations as AR's anniversary was nearing.
Khushi was wearing a saree as Anjali took to near by temple. But as she returned Sheetal was ready with work.
"Ms.Gupta, There is a new guest in room 204. Get the laundaries from there." She ordered.
Khushi was now at the peak of irritation. But just glared at her and went to work. When she was about to reach the door, she bumped on someone. There were two arms wrapped around her waist and holding her protectively. She opened her eyes and immediately got drowned in that chocolate brown orbs. But there were two throaty voices that brought them back. Arnav straightened her and dtood away.
"Khushi?" there came a stuned voice and
"Butterfly?" came a surprised and shocked voice. Khushi turned to them and was out of words. There stood her friend Ankit and her bhai YASH. Arnav who stood watching this was outraged.
But more than Yash she was answerable to Ankit. Yash understood the awkwardness and took fuming Arnav with him.
"Khushi, is this the better job u said?" it was a mock from Ankit.
"Ankit ji. Lets not talk here pls. come to the garden after 7. I will finish my duty and join you." She said in rush and disappeared. Arnav who saw this was feeling volcano ready to burst and Yash was confused. he reached the cottage after Arnav went to his cabin.
"Anjali, Do you know, I saw.." He started to say it fastly when Anjali interrupted.
"you already met your butterfly?" she asked with a pout.
"You knew?"
"That was the surprise I planned. So off course I know"
"But what is she doing here? And I saw her with the Housekeeping apron? She is a business management graduate dammit" Yash let out his confusion and curiosity.
"It's a long story and I'm aware of it yet. Chinto knows it apart from Aman bhai and bhai. Her brother is also here working as junior chef" she gave her piece of information.
"What the? I thought she would be married by now. She was madly in love like us." He said with a thoughtful expression.
"WHAT?" Anjali asmost shouted.
"But she is not married." She said slowly.
"And she wont marry anyone too" Yash and Anjal turned to see the source of voice and there stood Sanaah and Aditya and Aman.
"Mr.Sanak?" Yash blurted.
"Yashu Bhai?" Aditya was also shocked.
"Its better that we all know each other. Lets discuss something useful leaving the past" Sanaah suggested not wanting her Bhai's family to know about ARSHI's state and blame themselves for separating them. All agreed and they discussed the possible ways to bring them close.
"Hey Devi Maiyya. Hope we manage to get them together" Aman prayed.
Devi maiyya was busy reading the reports on People's wishes and pooja they did. But when she saw a new wish appear and the name of the person she got frustrated and threw the report files so hard that it landed on her husband, BJ's head who was having his afternoon nap.
"WHAT THE" he got up with a jerk.
"What is this Devi. you wont let me sleep peacefully?" he asked frustrated.
"The defective piece you created is eating my brain and you are thinking of your sleep" DM pounced on him.
"Now what did he do?" Bj sulked.
"What else? He wants his boss and Khushi to come close and wants his plan to succeed" Dm said and BJ got impatient.
"Yes Devi I also wanted to aske you this. Are you planning to being them closer or not? They are standing on opposite poles?" He asked.
"Being BJ you don't even know simple science? Opposite poles Attract and no more questions. I have to check the report before that Nosy Mathur comes up with some other new Wish" saying DM went away with her file leaving confused BJ and Desperate Aman looking at them.
It was evening.
Khushi reached the garden. Ankit was already waiting.
"Khushi, what is all this? why are you working here? That too like this?" Ankit stammered.
"Ankitji calm down."
"How can.." before he could complete Khushi interrupted.
"Ankitji. See I am fine. Just came here for a change of place. And accepted whatever I got. Nothing offensinve" Khushi tried reasoning.
"But you left the secretary job for being a hose keeping. This is silly"
"Ankit ji. Stop it. I explained it right?" Khushi was irritated.
"But.. Ok.. if you are happy, then I am also fine with it. But Promise me that if you are feeling to return, you would join me" he asked like a lost child. Khushi knew his state. So to calm him now she kept her hands on his and made a promise. Ankit's company was the one which was selected for the Renovation of AR. So he had come to visit nad check the place. They talked for sometime and left. When Khushi was returning, somwone held her arms and pulled her. Khushi was about to shout when she saw the person. Who can it be other than Arnav. He was fuming seeing Khushi and Ankit talking with hand in hand.
"So Ms. Gupta can hold someone else's hand but cannot bare my touch. Is it? Do u realize this is a work place to be worshipped not run around men?" he asked mocking and accusing.
"Behave yourself Me. Raizada. I was working under him in Lucknow and we are good friends. And for your information, He asked me for marriage." Khushi bursted out.
Arnav was taken aback by her anger. She never mentions him with his surname like that. But then it sunk in that Ankit asked Khushi for marriage.
"So if you were to marry him, what are you doing here?" he asked with same anger.
"Its just that I dint agree. So he left my path like a gentle man. We are still friends. Don't you get wrong meaning." She warned him.
"you dint agree? Why? He is also rich guy. Oh how can I forget? You must have got someone more richer than him. Right? and What did you say, you held his hands because he asked you for marriage and he is a gentle man? Do you remember that We were in love for 2 years and I also wanted to marry you. So does that give me a right to hold you? May be like this?" He asked pushing her on the nearby wall and slid his hands on her waist which was peeking through her Green saree. Khushi was breathing heavily.
Khushi was a person of strict morals. That's why though being in love she never allowed Arnav to touch her in a way showing any intimacy. They were just friendly touches like holding hands or shoulders. But today Arnav was burning from inside seeing Khushi talking with someother person and the fire that already ignited seeing her in swimsuit added to this and made him insane.
"Leave me" Khushi said between her heavy breaths. She was too weak to struggle. Her body was giving up.
" Why should I? When asking your hands in marriage gives the right to hold your hands, then my 2 years Love has more rights. You cant deny that. I am very strict person when it comes to my stuffs and rights." He said as he leaned on her form.
He held her arms on either side of her head. He leaned more on her. His face was close with hers. Khushi lost herself in his proximity and relaxed in his hold. Arnav realized that and free her arms. He held her close sneaking one arm on her bare waist and other at her nape. He bent down near her lips. Khushi could feel his hot breath on her lips. Her breath also got irregular. Both of their wyws were closed. In a fast move Arnav smacked his lips on hers. Khushi was numb. It was her first kiss. She stood like a statue. Arnav kissed her furiously biting and nibbling her lips trying to vent out his fire inside him. But after sometime he felt her lips going salty. He broke the kiss and saw that tears were running down her closed eyes. Arnav was hurt seeing that. He was ashamed to do something like that. He stepped back and Khushi opened her eyes.
She touched her swollen lips and more tears flowed. She just gave him a blank glance and ran to her room. Both were oblivious to a person observing them with shining eyes.
