Part 8
Finally summer vacations ended and with that the drawing classes came to end too. it was really a heavy day for get when she bid bye to her students for the last time, and the most hurting was saying bye to mansi. That little girl had made a special place in her heart, may be because she was really adorable or may be because she was connected to maan.
But with the end of classes, it meant a stop to their daily meetings. Neither he had to drop mansi, nor did he meet her everyday like before... yeah some days he would call her but that was like once or twice in a week. She knew it was ok for friends to call like this, but she was used to of seeing him daily in these two months of classes, and she felt some kind of emptiness in her life with this sudden disappearance of him from her life.
For maan too it was a sudden turn too, but it wasn't as big for him. Yes he liked her, but as a friend, there were no other feelings in his heart yet. And it wasn't a big deal too to not see her every day. He knew he was in constant touch with his friend and he was happy with that.
"mansi show me your copy, aj ka test me how did you performed" asked naintara, mansi's mother sternly. Mansi looked at her hesitantly and looked around to check if her chachu or papa was around to save her. "no one gonna save you today. Show me your copy" warned naintara. Knowing there is no other way, baby mansi chewed her lips and took out her maths copy and handed it over to her angry mumma.
"mansi 6/10, you got such marks that too when they just asked you to do simple sums... aise how will you clear your class I don't understand... Bil kul dhyan nhi hai aapka studies pe" naintara just clutched her hairs getting fed up of her daughter. She is a working woman, had to spend most of her time outside house, still whatever time she gets in evening, she spends it on mansi trying to teach her all good values and help her in her every need, to be a perfect mom for her... and here her daughter isn't a bit interested in studies.
"sorry mumma" mansi said clutching her ears, knowing it's the easy way out. Naintara looked at mansi and gave her a glare while mansi just pretended to hadn't seen it. "mansi aap na..." but naintara was interrupted seeing dev standing on the door with his arms folded on his chest. As mansi saw dev, she ran to her papa clutching his legs. Dev bent down to lift her up and kissed her, then whispered something in mansi's ear, making her smile and then left her down so that she ran away. After dev knew mansi was out of sight, he went near his lovely wife and sat next to her. "kya hua jaan, itni naraz kyu ho rhi ho meri beti par" said dev sweetly.
Naintara just sighed and hugged her husband keeping her head on his chest, while he pulled her closer, hugging her by waist. "I feel am lacking in mansi's studies" said naintara after a long breath. "Her grades are falling and she doesn't want to study at all. Abhi we don't control then she will totally be out of control, and I won't tolerate you or maan interfering in that.. sar pe chada rakha hai dono ne is badmash ko aur ye fayda uthati hai uska"
dev smiled at his wife's concern. He and naintara have been married since ten long years, yeah long years because his life had really been a roller coaster since then. But what he was proud of was his wife, who stood by his side in every ups and downs, she was his pillar of support in every step. And today he feels proud to be known as husband of naintara khurana, CFO of khurana group. Theirs was an arrange marriage, she belonged to some royal family, but that doesn't means she is mean or gold digger. She is compassionate and most understanding woman he had ever met; this woman had managed office as well as his house with so many efforts, filling each corner of his life with love.
"kyu pareshan hoti ho bachhi hai abhi wo"
"but still"
"accha why don't you hire a tutor for her jo uske studies pe control rakhegi and you can supervise to check if mansi is doing well"
Naintara looked at dev lovingly and said, "you know you are the best husband in this world, love you". Dev softly pecked her as he hugged her again.
Maan and dev had just come back from office and saw the house was very quiet. There was no loud noise of mansi shouting over the top of her voice, nor was any sound of a running naintara behind her to control her. They went near dadima who was sitting in the hall, "kya baat hai aj apki ladli nhi dikh rh khi... bhabhi bahar le gyi hai kya" asked maan as he scanned the house.
"naintara appointed a tutor for her, she had came to teach her. Apne room hai who unke sath" replied dadima. Dev just smiled knowing naintara would have been at peace until she found a tutor while maan just felt pity toward his baby. He reached mansi's room and saw her through the door seriously studying for the first time may be in her small life.
kuch to baat hai is tutor me, he thought and went inside only to see a lady's back, again in kurti and long skirts. Understanding dawned in him as he heard her melodious voice, "mansi mujhe 2 ka table sunao"
"geet" he whispered making her known to the presence of third person in the room now. She got stiffed and turned to see the person she was craving to see since so many days. "you are mansi's tutor" he asked shocked. "umm" she replied looking down. "when I called you yesterday, to kyu nhi btaya" he accused her making a pout.
"wanted to give you a surprise" she replied smilingly making him smile in return too. "hey that's great, now we can meet regularly again... you know I missed meeting you everyday" he genuinely confessed, not knowing what deep effect just his few simple words have on her heart, how much precious it made her feel.
He would have gone on and on if it hadn't been mansi's voice, "chachu aap jao mansi pad rhi hai" maan just made a face hearing that while geet had to actually stifle a laugh. "and madam tum kab se padne lagi, did your dii know about your recent test marks" "chachu I will tell mumma if you disturbed, then wo apka kaan khichengii" maan just rolled his eyes looking at the little bomb in front of him.
