Why SAS BAHU & SAZEESH in INDIA only??

VS

Dear Readers,

I still remember as a child/teen-ager once I was watching tele where an adv was showing on some Jivan ghutti. The mother-in-law was saying something goody goody to her daughter in law. "Bahu baby ko jeevan ghooti pilaya ki nehin? Isse pet bhi thik rehta hai...blah blah".

There was some Mausi/chachi in our place who commented "Sas never talks to Bahu in such a pampered way"

That was the first time I came to know that mother-in-law was something horrible in a female's life.

Gradually I got education, started working, travelled across the world and never did I find that "Mother-in-law" is treated in an evil way than ours. So why it's only India where Mother-in-laws are considered so dangerous by Bahus and vice versa?

Years later I got married and I find my mom-in-law the cutest lady around. Let me tell you people that it was never like that since day one. We had our own reservations and gradually we knew each other. We sorted out our differences and started living under the same roof with all possible happiness in life.

Let me tell you that my mom-in-law is very different from me. I am a pure non-vegetarian whereas she does not eat even onion and garlic, mustard oil and the list is very long. So if either of us is not careful then we would easily end up hurting each other. But that never happens. She takes care of the home, the kamwali, khana-bananewali etc etc. along with the kids. I take care of my office, my work. I don't interfere in her area and she does not in mine. If you ask me; myself and my husband cannot think of a single day in life without their presence. I remember recently when I told my mom-in-law that I might have to travel Hong Kong for few days for work; she made a face similar to what my daughters did; as if crying out loud.

After thinking a lot in this area, I come to this conclusion. Each human being wishes to prove him/herself in some area. We often find differences only when we try to prove our supremacy over the other in a particular area. If we avoid that then there won't be much problem in life.

The current track in BV is one of the worst for me. However how come the TRPs are up? It's because many Indians love to watch this. MASALEDAR..CHATPATA episodes. May be at some corner of mind people try to relate themselves to the character. But these negative tracks end up corrupting our mindset on the relationship.

Why they don't show Sister-Sister SAZEESH? Why don't they show Mother-Daughter SAZEESH? Don't we ever fight with them in life? You got what I mean to say.

Common Indian viewers, let's grow up. Please stop watching such episodes where such immature and silly stuff is being shown. The TRP would go down and no producer/director/writer would dare to show such negative tracks in any of the serials in future.

Let's do something meaningful in life rather than polluting our mind by such KHAYALI SAS-BAHU KHICHDI and keeping grudges against our near and dear ones.

As I believe if the love and understanding between a couple in intact no external relationship could ever affect them for long.

No use Debbie . People will keep watching this crap in the name of habit and some entertainment...till they get tired of the monotonous tracks being shown and switch over to other better shows.
But I guess people have already started doing that lol😆 Most of the ppl have now switched over to the 8 pm show of Zee Jodha Akbar😆 its really good and million times better than BV😆

Thats right, unles the root cause is eradicated there is no use blaming the CVs. They would write only that sells in the market 😆

But thanks for suggesting "Jodha Akbar". BV was the only serial that I used to watch after Shiv's arrival. However left after Prat's exit.

Well recently I saw few episodes of the new Mahabharat partially and found them quite nice too 😊

I think the more we complicate things the more worst they become...we see saas-bahu drama only in India because we Indians have a habit of making relations like in-laws a big thing...we speak big dialogues to our daughter that now your in-laws are your family and now they are your world...you have to obey them...we think oh don't speak like that they are our samdhees...it's not that our God made rules like that...our own society has put boy and his family on higher level than girl...they rise high because we let them...in western countries no one makes much issue of marriage, divorces and in-laws...girls are not forced to accept everyone and neither told what their duties should be and they will be disowned if they don't follow them...we Indians find it difficult to set our children free but the truth is somewhere our own over-attachment and possessiveness causes misunderstanding and complications in marriages...we need to learn to set our children free...we need to give them a chance to face their problems themselves...we need to realize that they need to enjoy their phase of struggles and we need to enjoy our own old age...i have nothing against Indian traditions...i like how both girl and boy adopt each other's parents like their own but shouldn't their be balance for that...things get ugly in marriage only when this balance gets disturbed...girls do think of boy's family as her own but not the boy and nor the boy's family ever try to give same respect to girl as their own daughter...plus i feel even if in India marriage is about two families we should set some privacy and limits which cannot be crossed

When we think that marriage is a Union of two families instead of two individuals, these things
Bound to happen. We take pride in blind obedience to inaws. Anandi herself very proudly
Says to Ashi that marriage is a union of two families.
The norm in those days was girl has to obey her inlaws and husbands. Parents brought them up
With that view only. All this is because of the financial dependence of the woman. Bv is extremely regressive. We were hoping to see some real progress of Balika vadhus like Anandi and Ganga.
Anandi is very disappointing. Ganga at least got a nurse training but they are showing her tied
Up with marriage before making a carreer for herself. Only Gauri here is a successful BV who
Went high in her studies and became a very good doctor .

great post 👏
ive grown up watching my mom n grandmom living just like u describe ur relation with ur MIL. ive always seen the understanding with which they both used to manage things amongst themselves n yes there were fights but the kindof fights that happen even between me n mom! which get sorted as soon as they happen. n they're not a big deal. ive seen my mom n grnadmom watching these insane tv shows n laughing so i never thought these things happened for real but yes now, being a grown up i feel that maybe these things do happen in reality too in many homes. though im not married yet but ive seen friends , cousins cribbing about their MILs so maybe thats why some people relate to all this n yes this happens only in India 😛
